What are you listening to?

12 noon and just wakin' up with my coffee (yeah, well )
Didn't Laura or one of the gang once say they considered coffee one of the perks of 3D?.....I copped that saying!

Anyway, Long John Baldry, anyone remember him?
"Don't Try To Lay No Boogie-Woogie On The King Of Rock n' Roll"

Tracy Chapman - Talkin' bout a Revolution (Live)

Don't you know
They're talkin' 'bout a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
Don't you know
They're talkin' about a revolution
It sounds like a whisper

While they're standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion

Don't you know
Talkin' 'bout a revolution
It sounds like a whisper
Poor people gonna rise up
And get their share
Poor people gonna rise up
And take what's theirs

Don't you know
You better run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run
Oh I said you better
Run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run

'Cause finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin' bout a revolution
Yes, finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin' bout a revolution, oh no
Talkin' bout a revolution, oh

While they're standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion

@LongCloud,

What I am trying to say is that it is possibly both the electronics (including strobe lights) and the message that can be used to entrance us.

Session 18 November 1995:

The following is more for me possibly than you:

Session 9 April 2011:

I know that music is very subjective for many of us so maybe we need to try to work together and sort out some of the reasons we see some music as more negative than positive.

Yes, of course electronic music, or any other can have this effect.

Your quote above which doesn't show here ^^^

A: We have more in mind. Take care with interacting with negative energies.

is about who the musicians are, no matter how good, or angelic, or wonderful their music is. Watch them in interviews, and things get ugly in a hurry.

It's why I have a huge distaste for Led Zepplin. In fact, even when I was in my teens and everyone was listening to them, I was uncomfortable, yet I could listen to Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dio, (and many more) even though that was "heavy" music, crude, you could hear or feel some soul in there. I also listened to many other types, classical, new age (period angst music), and electronica.

There's a fantastic Cello player out there, just brilliant. And she presents as a psychopath.

It's not so much the music (although lyrics play a part, sometimes), but who is putting it out and why.

One of the crude songs, with lyrics.

"Wheels Of Confusion / The Straightener"

Long ago I wandered through my mind
In the land of fairy tales and stories
Lost in happiness I knew no fears
Innocence and love was all I knew
It was an illusion

Soon the days were passing into years
Happiness just didn't come so easy
Life was more than fairy tales and daydreams
Innocence was just another word
It was an illusion

Lost in the wheels of confusion
Running through valleys of tears
Eyes full of angry delusion
Hiding in everyday fears

So I found that life is just a game
But you know there's never been a winner
Try your hardest, you'll still be a loser
The world will still be turning when you're gone
Yeah when you're gone!

This applies to ALL; substitute "man" where needed. We're HUMAN. Go.

"Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)"

Relax...Take it easy...

You see the world through your cynical eyes
You're a troubled young man I can tell
You've got it all in the palm of your hand
But your hand's wet with sweat and your head needs a rest

And you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
Why must you be such an angry young man
When your future looks quite bright to me
How can there be such a sinister plan
That could hide such a lamb, such a caring young man

You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're kidding yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on, let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it

You're fooling yourself if you don't believe it
You're killing yourself if you don't believe it
Get up, get back on your feet
You're the one they can't beat and you know it
Come on, let's see what you've got
Just take your best shot and don't blow it.

Great song for recent times. Not well known, 2nd album (1970), "Benefit," from Jethro Tull and my favorite....This song, 'Inside,' warms my hippie soul, I still play this on the RP.....Anyone care to dance in the Light with me? Enjoy! 💚
Yeah this one takes me back- listened to the Thick as a Brick album repeatedly knew every word by heart. Lots of great music here of practically every genre- thanks everyone!
