What are you listening to?

I can not stop listening to Joan Baez’s 75th Birthday live concert..
I am always full of tears and joy. I sing along. It is the best and because I grew up in with her as an 18 yr old Vietnam hippie. I always was in choir through my Jr. and Sr. High school days. I have a better than average alto blend voice. I came to personally know her when I gave Reiki service to many musicians locally and traveling tour groups. I did not understand her politics but it is clear she is kind and a very beloved and incredible singer.
Bless the world for Joan Baez

Today I sitted back for a while and thinked that maybe I will check te lyrics of songs that accidentaly came to my yt and that I listened a lot in this month, and, for me, they've got messages for this hard time. I will put lyrics of all of them, maybe this would be helpfull for someone :-) :

TheFatRat - Rise Up

When you feel it's hopeless
When you think that you're lost, oh
I will take your hand and
We'll rise up from the dust, oh
Here we go, go, go
Let us heal and grow
You won't be alone, we're unstoppable
Don't be afraid to show
What we're going for
This is what we know
Here we come back to life, we're still breathing
Standing up, everybody's gonna see it
All you need to know is that we're holding on
Even if we fall, we will rise up
And we follow the path that we believe in
No, we're not gonna stop until we reach it
All you need to know is that we're holding on
We rise up from the dust and claim our throne
We rise up from the dust and claim our throne (throne, throne, throne)
We all have our reasons
Why we're on this track, oh
We all have our burdens yeah, but
We just keep on fighting and we never look back
Here we go, go, go
Let us heal and grow
You won't be alone, we're unstoppable
Don't be afraid to show
What we're going for
This is what we know
Here we come back to life, we're still breathing
Standing up, everybody's gonna see it
All you need to know is that we're holding on
Even if we fall we will rise up
And we follow the path that we believe in
No, we're not gonna stop until we reach it
All you need to know is that we're holding on
We rise up from the dust and claim our throne
We rise up from the dust and claim our throne (throne, throne, throne)
We rise up from the dust and claim our throne (throne, throne, throne)

Hugh Jackman i Zac Efron - The Other Side

[Verse 1: Hugh Jackman]
Right here, right now
I put the offer out
I don't want to chase you down
I know you see it
You run with me
And I can cut you free
Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in
So trade that typical for something colorful
And if it's crazy, live a little crazy
You can play it sensible, a king of conventional
Or you can risk it all and see

[Chorus: Hugh Jackman]
Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play
'Cause I got what you need
So come with me and take the ride
It'll take you to the other side
'Cause you can do like you do
Or you can do like me
Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key
Oh, damn! Suddenly you're free to fly
It'll take you to the other side

[Verse 2: Zac Efron]
Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in
Well I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen
So thanks, but no
I think I'm good to go
'Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in
Now I admire you, and that whole show you do
You're onto something, really it's something
But I live among the swells, and we don't pick up peanut shells
I'll have to leave that up to you

[Chorus: Zac Efron]
Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play
'Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride
I don't need to see the other side
So go and do like you do
I'm good to do like me
Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key
Oh, damn! Can't you see I'm doing fine
I don't need to see the other side

[Verse 3:]
[Hugh]
Now is this really how you like to spend your days?
Whiskey and misery, and parties and plays

[Zac]
If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town
Disgraced and disowned, another one of the clowns

[Hugh]
But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little
Just let me give you the freedom to dream and it'll
Wake you up and cure your aching
Take your walls and start 'em breaking
Now that's a deal that seems worth taking
But I guess I'll leave that up to you

[Bridge:]
[Zac]
Well it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly
So what percentage of the show would I be taking?

[Hugh]
Fair enough, you'd want a piece of all the action
I'd give you seven, we could shake and make it happen

[Zac]
I wasn't born this morning, eighteen would be just fine

[Hugh]
Why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime

[Zac]
Fifteen

[Hugh]
I'd do eight

[Zac]
Twelve

[Hugh]
Maybe nine

[Zac]
Ten

[Chorus: Both (Hugh) {Zac}]
Don't you wanna get away to a {whole} (new) part you're gonna play
{'Cause I got what you need}, (so come) with me and take the ride
To the other side
(So if you do like I do)
{So if you do like me}
Forget the cage, 'cause we know how to make the key
Oh, damn! Suddenly we're free to fly
We're going to the other side
{So if you do like I do}
(To the other side)
{So if you do like me}
(We're going to the other side)
{'Cause if we do we're going} to the other side
We're going to the other side

Storm Song
Phildel

'll send a storm
To capture your heart
And bring you home.
Ooh carry on the breeze
You'll never find me, gone.
Oh faster than the post train
Burning like a slow flame on,
I'll send a storm
To capture your heart
And bring you home.
Even though the landscape
Stretches like a hard day
Even though the old man
Says I have a fool's plan
Oh despite the distance
You will see my footprints
I will raise my flagpole
I will turn these tables
'Round
I'll send a storm
To capture your heart
And bring you home.
Ooh carry on the breeze
You'll never find me, gone.
Oh faster than the post train
Burning like a slow flame on,
I'll send a storm
To capture your heart
And bring you home.
Though I've said the worse things
And I can't rethis
Secrets of the floor lay
Gambled of the doorway
Oh…

Paper Kings - Fire On Up

I'll be that silver, silver
Lining to the story
If you thought that I
Would turn and run
Then y'all don't know me
May my fears rest in peace
'Cause that's the old me
Got this taste on my tongue
I crave the glory
Gasoline in my veins
Be the fuel through my pain (Oh, ah)
As we rise, rise from the flames
Heart of a lion
Never say never
Cut like a diamond
Shine under pressure
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
It's time to fire on up
Pound on your chest
It's like there's no tomorrow
Just play the game right
No one can follow
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
It's time to fire on up
They say the struggle is real
I say the struggle reveals
How you deal with the monster
That's inside you?
I don't buy into the luck
I put my faith and my trust
In my team everything
That we done been through
Ah
Gasoline in my veins
Be the fuel through my pain
As we rise, rise from the flames
Heart of a lion
Never say never
Cut like a diamond
Shine under pressure
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
Pound on your chest
It's like there's no tomorrow
Just play the game right
No one can follow
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
Hey, hey, hey
Heart of a lion
Never say never
Cut like a diamond
Shine under pressure
It's time to fire on up
It's time to fire on up
Pound on your chest
It's like there's no tomorrow
Just play the game right
No one can follow
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
Woah oh
It's time to fire on up
A-a-ah, a-a-ah-a-a-a
A-a-ah, a-a-ah-a-a-a

No Resolve - Crossed The Line

Dancing with the demons in your eyes
Say you want to leave, but that's a lie
(That's a lie)
Beat me, break me down
I'll find a way to get back off the ground
You don't believe me but I'll tell you now
It's over now, it's over now so
Take a step back down
I'll face the fire and force you to bow
And if you still cannot figure it out
It's over now, now, now, now
Too late to fight
You've lost your mind
Crossed the line, crossed the line
Too late to hide
So long, goodbye
Crossed the line, crossed the line
Wait, I'm just about to break
I'm pushing through the pain
Believe me, you can't get away
Too late to fight,
You've lost your mind
Crossed the line, crossed the line
Fighting with these feelings in my mind
The devil at my door says do or die
(Do or die)
Beat me, break me down
I'll find a way to get back off the ground
You don't believe me, but I'll tell you now
It's over now, it's over now so
Take a step back down
I'll face the fire and force you to bow
And if you still cannot figure it out
It's over now, now, now, now
Too late to fight
You've lost your mind
Crossed the line, crossed the line
Too late to hide
So long, goodbye
Crossed the line, crossed the line
Wait, I'm just about to break
I'm pushing through the pain
Believe me, you can't get away
Too late to fight,
You've lost your mind
Crossed the line, crossed the line
You'll never control me
You always betray me
Everything you ever said
And everything you ever did was a lie
You crossed the line
You crossed the line
You won't break me
I won't take this
You won't break me
You won't break me!
Too late to fight
You've lost your mind
Crossed the line, crossed the line
Too late to hide
So long, goodbye
Crossed the line, you crossed the line
Wait, I'm just about to break
I'm pushing through the pain
Believe me, you can't get away
Too late (too late) to fight (to fight),
You've lost your mind
Crossed the line, you crossed the line
Crossed the line
Crossed the line.

Anything we should know about your change?
How can you buy or sell the sky
Or the warmth of the land it's strange to us
We don't own the freshness of the air
Or the sparkle of the water
How can you buy them from us
The white man doesn't understand our ways
For he's a stranger who comes in the night
And takes from the land just what he needs
Oh yeah
He treats his brothers like his enemies
When it's completed he moves on
He leaves his father's grave and his birthright
His birthright is forgotten
The air is precious to the red man
For all things share the same breath
The white man won't notice the air he breathes
Like a man dying for many days
All right now
The whites must treat the beasts of his land
As his brothers not his enemies
Tell me what is man without the beasts
I'll bet he will die of loneliness
One thing we know that the white man will
We know our god is the same god
You may think you wish to own him
Own him as you wish to own our land
But he is the body of man
And the earth is precious to him
Continue to contaminate your bed
And you will suffocate in your waste

That post in the other thread
Someone posted in another thread (which I cannot recall at the moment) that they wished they could have said a proper goodbye to the old world as the don't expect it to come back.

inspired me to share what seems to be a timely song by Matt Elliott from his latest album, Farewell To All We Know:
