What are you listening to?

If by engineered you mean a sound engineer was involved, then sure. There's usually a delay effect on his vocals. But if you're implying there is auto-tuning, there isn't.

No. What I mean is we haven't actually heard his voice WITHOUT it being "engineered". Or processed.

I have an acquaintance that does sound engineering for big acts in Vegas, he posts (via private channels) what comes in and what goes "out".

You can tell the difference, once exposed.

For instance: this is kinda bad:

I'd really like to hear this guy clearly.

If you search "Dimash a capella" or "Dimash acoustic" you can find plenty of other examples.

traps everywhere ... ring of love is burned by the fires of hate ... no one sees anyone else but just their own power little silly games ... anyhow they never gonna reach me ... if they ever again try to trick me and stick their straw to my soul ... poison called truth will be ready for them ...

Paul Kalkbrenner - Feed Your Head

One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall
Go ask Alice I think she'll know...

Remember what the dormouse said:
Feed your head! Feed your head!

And if you go chasing rabbits and you know you're going to fall
Tell'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar has given you the call
He called Alice, when she was just small
Go ask Alice I think she'll know...

Remember what the dormouse said:
Feed your head! Feed your head!

I love Mozart! Thank you, @Saman.

Here is an article about the 'Mozart effect' :-):
They found, they say, that listening to Mozart, especially on a daily basis, led to a significant reduction in epileptic seizures, and also to a reduced frequency of interictal epileptiform discharges - abnormal brain activities commonly seen in epileptic patients.

I heard Van Morrison is soon to release 3 anti lockdown songs. We all desperately need more influential artists standing up to the crushing boot of the authorities. So while I wait I thought I’d post my favorite version of my favorite Van the man song.

Something for the Book Club:

James Blunt - Fall At Your Feet (Live on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show with Sky)

Snow Patrol Reworked - Chasing Cars Live at the Royal Albert Hall

Something else for the Book Club. Maybe it was the 'Live version' that touched me, but while listening to this the other night, I had a flash of all the characters I have 'met' so far in reading the books. And a flash of Laura and Ark. It brought me to tears (probably the violins, they always bring me to tears!).

Beauty:

Ben Howard - I Forget Where We Were

Oh, hey
I wasn't listening
I was watching Syria blinded by the sunshine strip
And you, you were in the kitchen
Oh, your mariner's mouth
The wounded with the wounder's whip
And that's how summer passed oh
The great dividing range of green, green grass
Oh, maybe it was peace at last, who knew

Hello love, my invincible friend
Hello love, the thistle and the burr
Hello love, for you I have so many words
But I, I forget where we were

Oh, hey I wasn't listening
I was stung by all of us
The blind leading out the bored
And as per usual
You were skipping and laughing eyes at the bedroom door
"Don't take it so seriously, no
Only time is ours, the rest we'll just wait and see!"
Maybe you're right, babe, maybe

Oh, no, and that's how summer passed
Oh the great dividing range, the green green grass
And, oh, maybe I hold on fast to you

Hello love, my invincible friend
Hello love, the thistle and the burr
Hello love, for you I have so many words
But I, I forget where we were
I, I forget where we were
I forget where we were
I forget where we were

Oh, no, and that's how summer passed
Oh, your great dividing range, the green green grass
Oh, maybe it was peace at last, who knew...
