What are you listening to?

FWIW, I discovered Lowland by Armada today and I am definitely a new fan. I hope he, she, or the group will release more albums cause I like these fully orchestral versions a lot more than all the original trance tracks, to say the least. One thing I like about a few trance tracks is the interplay of a decent uplifting melody with harmonic drone sounds in the background, but almost all the original tracks below I don't enjoy with the exception of a handful, more or less; however with the "Trancelation" by Lowland, even the ones I never liked, or the ones that I liked just some parts of, are now all suprisingly enjoyable to listen to. :-)

'Classical Trancelations' By Lowland

FWIW, the last full album I posted above was the 2nd edition. This one below is the first edition:

Classical Trancelations By Lowland FULL ALBUM

I could not find an upload for the full album of the 3rd edition; however I just found a playlist for all the 3rd's tracks here:

Enjoy the show!

Overture, curtain, lights
This is it, the night of nights
No more rehearsing and nursing a part
We know every part by heart
Overture, curtain, lights
This is it, we'll hit the heights
And oh what heights we'll hit
On with the show this is it.

Tonight what heights we'll hit.
On with the show, this is it

This song is from the early 2000s (I know some people dont listen to post-50s music because of subliminal messages etc.).

It's a great combination of modern music and religious feeling. It would be nice if we had more of this kind of music and not the kind of stuff they propagate these days.

I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel
I can love
But I need his heart
I am strong even on my own
But from him I never want to part
He's been there since the very start
My angel Gabriel
My angel Gabriel
Bless the day he came to be
Angel's wings carried him to me
Heavenly
I can fly
But I want his wings
I can shine even in the darkness
But I crave the light that he brings
Revel in the songs that he sings
My angel Gabriel

Gave me goose bumps @Domagoj. Thanks. :-)

I don't usually like "electronic" music that much but (thanks to @Domagoj) I just heard them for the first time. It's kind of like electronic soul music on the slow songs. I like the lyrics.

"Wise Enough" - by Lamb

I had a dream that all of time was running dry
And life was like a comet falling from the sky
I woke so frightened in the dawning, oh, so clear
How precious is the time we have here

Are we not wise enough to give all we are
Surely we're bright enough to outshine the stars
But human kind gets so lost in finding its way
But we have a chance to make a difference til our dying day

And you might pray to God or say it's destiny
But I think we're just hiding all that we can be

Are we not wise enough to give all we are
Surely we're bright enough to outshine the stars
But human kind gets so lost in finding its way
We have a chance to make a difference til our dying day

All I'm really asking is, what are we doing here
Are we just killing time just living year to year
In this big world, no one else can play our part
Ain't it time to just wake up and give it all

Are we not wise enough to give all we are
Surely we're bright enough to outshine the stars
But human kind gets so lost in finding its way
We have a chance to make a difference til our dying day

We have a chance to make a difference till our dying day
We have a chance to make a difference till our dying day

Thanks, guys. Also, if you're looking for some soul-cleansing neo-folk Americana - Gillian Welch is your woman. Great for kathartic karaoke btw!

There was a camp town man, used to plow and sing
And he loved that mule and the mule loved him
When the day got long as it does about now
I'd hear him singing to his mule cow
Calling, "Come on my sweet old girl, and I'll bet the whole damn world
That we're gonna make it yet to the end of the row"
Singing "Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind
Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind, Bessie
Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind no more"
Said it's a mean old world, heavy in need
And that big machine is just picking up speed
And we're supping on tears, and we're supping on wine
We all get to heaven in our own sweet time
So come all you Asheville boys and turn up your old-time noise
And kick 'til the dust comes up from the cracks in the floor
Singing, "Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind, brother
Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind
Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind no more"
But the camp town man, he doesn't plow no more
I seen him walking down to the cigarette store
Guess he lost that knack and he forgot that song
Woke up one morning and the mule was gone
So come on, you ragtime kings, and come on, you dogs, and sing
And pick up a dusty old horn and give it a blow
Playing, "Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind, honey
Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind, sugar
Hard times ain't gonna rule my mind no more"

I used to think it was all about me
I was victimized by everything
I used to lose and I lose again
Now I'm living like a cigarette in an ashtray

I used to think it was all about me
I used to suffer through everything
I used to lose and I lose again
Now I'm dying like a cigarette in an ashtray

Remembering
Where you came from

Surrendering
When you're ending
Reprocessing
Remembering where you come from when you're ending
What you have lost what you can win
Remembering where you come from when you're ending
What you have lost what you can't win
Acknowledging where you come from when you're ending
What you have lost what you can win
Acknowledging where you come from when you're ending
What you have lost what you can't win
Surrendering what you're made of
What you're made from
What you have done
When the end comes
Reprocessing where you came from when your ending
What you have lost what you can't win
Reprocessing what you're made of

What you've become, all you have learned, what you have done
Reprocessing, what you're made of
What you have done, when you're bleeding
Remembering

Remembering

Reprocessing

You like to think it's all about you
You are victimized by everything
You do the same things over and over again
Soon you'll be lost like a cigarette in an ashtray

He used to think it was all about him
He was victimized by everything
He did the same things over and over again
I lost him like a cigarette in an ashtray
