What are you listening to?

Music from an unusual game with mystical themes.

Very soothing in a mystical way. I started listening while catching up on other posts. I put on my wireless bluetooth headphones and went out on my deck for a smoke. Being outdoors viewing nature and the mountains gave the music a completely different feel. The human voices towards the end adds a larger dimension to it I think. Sort of a surprise. Thanks for posting.

A quieter song by Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell called 'Expedition Sailor' (4:27). It was a favourite in my teens. I still like it.

Pink Floyd - On the Turning Away

On the turning away
From the pale and downtrodden
And the words they say
Which we won't understand

Don't accept that what's happening
Is just a case of others' suffering
Or you'll find that you're joining in
The turning away

It's a sin that somehow
Light is changing to shadow
And casting its shroud
Over all we have known

Unaware how the ranks have grown
Driven on by a heart of stone
We could find that we're all alone
In the dream of the proud

On the wings of the night
As the daytime is stirring
Where the speechless unite in a silent accord

Using words, you will find, are strange
Mesmerised as they light the flame
Feel the new wind of change
On the wings of the night

No more turning away
From the weak and the weary
No more turning away
From the coldness inside

Just a world that we all must share
It's not enough just to stand and stare
Is it only a dream that there'll be
No more turning away?

Pink Floyd - Keep Talking

There's a silence surrounding me
I can't seem to think straight
I sit in the corner
And no one can bother me
I think I should speak now (why won't you talk to me?)
I can't seem to speak now (you never talk to me)
My words won't come out right (what are you thinking?)
I feel like I'm drowning (what are you feeling?)
I'm feeling weak now (why won't you talk to me?)
But I can't show my weakness (you never talk to me)
I sometimes wonder (what are you thinking?)
Where do we go from here (what are you feeling?)

I feel like I'm drowning
(You never talk to me) you know I can't breathe now
(What are you thinking?) We're going nowhere
(What are you feeling?) We're going nowhere
(Why won't you talk to me?)
(You never talk to me)
(What are you thinking?)
(Where do we go from here?)

This is my all time favourite Pink Floyd song

Jamiroquai, Whie Knuckle Ride. Tension creates friction internally, driving us ever onwards, echoing Rupert Sheldrake ,this song echoed this in my mind. Singer Jay Kay is an unsung hero for me, his songs always resonate with me. I read that he took off 3 years of work just to read up on political history. If you can afford it then it's all good. I have every album by this dude. He takes far too much stick from the music press in my view. Genuinely love his back catalogue.

I've probably put this song forward before, but I just love the flow of this song. Working on making yourself on a level field, crafting understandings, coming to terms with reality. It's a bittersweet song.
