Magma, THE French band. Music that transcends time, codes and subjectivity. You can't like it or not like it, you just have to let it wash over you.

Founder Christian Vander sings in Kobaien, a language invented to serve a music that needed sounds he couldn't find in real languages.

When he composes, the music just comes to him, he doesn't think about it. And there's always a story in his work. That's why you have to listen to the whole album, not just individual songs.

If you're interested, I can do a post on this band, which I think is on a Mozart level.

For the record, the band was formed in 1969 and the drummer was born in 1948, and is still active.
