What are you listening to?

Andy Fairweather-Low - Reggae Tune

I'm so glad that everything I've done
Has taught me how to be prepared when trouble comes
That nothing can ever be that bad
That it can make you miss something you never had

And I've learnt a lot from the battles that I have fought
And now my feelings depend on my thoughts
And although my past meant something to someone
It was all over for me before it had begun

Singing oh shana oh shana eh.....

There was a time when I wanted so much more
But I only ended on a stairway to the floor
Never no more will I be found
Sitting in a corner in a world that's round.

Singing oh shana oh shana eh...

Thanks, fille des bois, for reminding me of this. I love this song! Joan Baez actually wrote this song and she usually only does covers. It's such a personal, emotional song about her relationship with Bob Dylan which she usually in interviews speaks of in a lighthearted way. But this song always blows me away. I'll have to grab it off ITunes.

Diamonds and rust

Diamonds and Rust Lyrics
Artist(Band):Joan Baez

(Words and Music by Joan Baez)

I'll be damned
Here comes your ghost again
But that's not unusual
It's just that the moon is full
And you happened to call
And here I sit
Hand on the telephone
Hearing a voice I'd known
A couple of light years ago
Heading straight for a fall

As I remember your eyes
Were bluer than robin's eggs
My poetry was lousy you said
Where are you calling from?
A booth in the midwest
Ten years ago
I bought you some cufflinks
You brought me something
We both know what memories can bring
They bring diamonds and rust

Well you burst on the scene
Already a legend
The unwashed phenomenon
The original vagabond
You strayed into my arms
And there you stayed
Temporarily lost at sea
The Madonna was yours for free
Yes the girl on the half-shell
Would keep you unharmed

Now I see you standing
With brown leaves falling around
And snow in your hair
Now you're smiling out the window
Of that crummy hotel
Over Washington Square
Our breath comes out white clouds
Mingles and hangs in the air
Speaking strictly for me
We both could have died then and there

Now you're telling me
You're not nostalgic
Then give me another word for it
You who are so good with words
And at keeping things vague
Because I need some of that vagueness now
It's all come back too clearly
Yes I loved you dearly
And if you're offering me diamonds and rust
I've already paid

The Cranberries - Animal Instinct

Suddenly something has happened to me
As I was having my cup of tea
Suddenly I was feeling depressed
I was utterly and totally stressed
Do you know you made me cry
Do you know you made me die

And the thing that gets to me
Is you’ll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I’ll always be in doubt
It is a lovely thing that we have
It is a lovely thing that we
It is a lovely thing, the animal
The animal instinct

So take my hands and come with me
We will change reality
So take my hands and we will pray
They won’t take you away
They will never make me cry, no
They will never make me die
And the thing that gets to me
Is you’ll never really see
And the thing that freaks me out
Is I’ll always be in doubt

The animal, the animal,
The animal instinct in me
It’s the animal, the animal,
The animal instinct in me
It’s the animal, it’s the animal,
It’s the animal instinct in me x2

John Denver Windsong
The wind is the whisper of our mother the earth
The wind is the hand of our father the sky

The wind watches over our struggles and pleasures
The wind is the goddess who first learned to fly
The wind is the bearer of bad and good tidings
The weaver of darkness, the bringer of dawn

The wind brings the rain then builds us a rainbow
The wind is the singer who sang the first song.
The wind is the twister of anger and warning
The wind brings the fragrance of freshly mown hay
The wind is the racer and wild stallion running
and the sweet taste of love on a slow summer's day.

The wind knows the songs of our cities and canyons
The thunder of mountain, the roar of the sea

The wind is the taker and giver of mornings.
The wind is the symbol of all that is free.
So welcome the wind and the wisdom she offers
Follow her summons when she calls again.

In your heart and your spirit let the breezes surround you
Lift up your voice then and sing with the wind:
La la la la la la la la la la la la la
dee dee dee dee dee dee dee oooooooo

A little sidenote about John He was the most decorated Green Beret Sniper during Vietnam. That experience must have moded him into the loving gentleman he was. Hell has it's way of bringing the best out of some people.

Graduation to 4th Density

Much of the inspiration of the QFS work has to do with the concept of a planetary change called the Wave by the Cassiopaeans. Even though we do not from the present perspective know exactly how such a transition would work nor what the end state of such would be, people often ask about this matter. We will here combine material from channeled sources and tradition reviewed by the QFS in an attempt to shed light on this. We recognize that we cannot speak on this with certainty or authority and are bound to be only fragmentary and partial in what understanding we may have.

Ra says that one must be either over 50% STO or over 95% STS to qualify..............

The Cassiopaeans emphasize simply learning the lessons, acquiring basic understandings and dealing with karma. Learning the lessons involve becoming practically proficient at seeing the world and navigating in it while not becoming caught in its ways. The Sufis say 'to be in the world but not of it.'

Hi Sudar,

Welcome to the forum. :) We recommend all new members to post an introduction in the Newbies section telling us a bit about themselves, and how they found their way here. Have a read through that section to get an idea of how others have done it. Thanks.

Ok, sorry. :-[

I have tried (not very cleverly) to avoid the introduction. Writing in English is quite difficult for me. Reading and understanding is ok but when I need to write ... huh ... only then I see how little I know. :headbash:
Soon, I will try somehow to introduce myself, with big help of google translator.

Band of Horses, "On My Way Back Home"
On my way back home, by chance I thought of
All my favorite songs, where I'd gone wrong
The only words that I could think of
I'm pissing my life away in the form of a song
On my way back home

Every step, a victory it was
I was cheating death, just in time I woke
My memories start to wander off
Come to me, the remembrance of
On my way back home

I came in this way and here now I'll stay
If the unknown have to wait one more day
There's often times that it comes out wrong
But luckily I, I got a mind to know
On my way back home

Beck - The Golden Age

Put your hands on the wheel
Let the golden age begin
Let the window down
Feel the moonlight on your skin
Let the desert wind
Cool your aching head
Let the weight of the world
Drift away instead

These days I barely get by
I don't even try

It's a treacherous road
With a desolated view
There's distant lights
But here they're far and few
And the sun don't shine
Even when its day
You gotta drive all night
Just to feel like you're ok

These days I barely get by

This is one of my favourite pieces of music... Vibrasphere - Tierra Azul

Be sure to set it the resolution of the youtube clip to 720pHD, because the sound is much much better that way. And there's no video with the song so there shouldn't be any playback problems when doing so, even on slow computers.

This is also one of my favorites: Carbon Based Lifeforms - M
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lzg5XTuPgLo (this is not the official video clip btw, someone has just been creative)
I was fortunate enough to be able to hear CBL live a couple of days ago, and I must say it was beautiful to hear tracks like these played live in front of an audience. Though live here means fiddling knobs on some electronic equipment, but still, it was a fantastic live set. Oh and the song has very short lyrics, which are in Hungarian, and it translates to "Do there exist many worlds, or is it but a single world?"
