What are you listening to?

This is one of my favourite pieces of music... Vibrasphere - Tierra Azul
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSvaF1gTOrA
Be sure to set it the resolution of the youtube clip to 720pHD, because the sound is much much better that way. And there's no video with the song so there shouldn't be any playback problems when doing so, even on slow computers.

This is also one of my favorites: Carbon Based Lifeforms - M
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lzg5XTuPgLo (this is not the official video clip btw, someone has just been creative)
I was fortunate enough to be able to hear CBL live a couple of days ago, and I must say it was beautiful to hear tracks like these played live in front of an audience. Though live here means fiddling knobs on some electronic equipment, but still, it was a fantastic live set. Oh and the song has very short lyrics, which are in Hungarian, and it translates to "Do there exist many worlds, or is it but a single world?"

Vinnie Paz - End of Days

he greatest form of control is when you think you're free when you're being fundamentally manipulated and dictated to. One form of dictatorship is being in a prison cell and you can see the bars and touch them. The other one is sitting in a prison cell but you can't see the bars but you think you're free.

What the human race is suffering from is mass hypnosis. We are being hypnotized by people like this: newsreaders, politicians, teachers, lecturers. We are in a country and in a world that is being run by unbelievably sick people. The chasm between what we're told is going on and what is really going on is absolutely enormous.

[Chorus: Block McCloud]

It's like we all know what's going down
But no one's saying shit, what happened to the home of the brave?
These motherfuckers they're controlling us now
But no one's talking about it, made us proud to be slaves

And everybody's just walking around
Head in the clouds, we won't awake until we're dead in the grave
By then it's too late, we need to be ready to raise up
Welcome to the end of days

[Verse 1: Vinnie Paz]

Everybody is slave, only some are aware
That the government releasing poison in the air
That's the reason I collect so many guns in my lair
I ain't never caught slipping, never underprepared
Yeah, The Shaytan army, they just break it proudly
George Bush the grandson of Aleister Crowley
They want you to believe the lie that the enemy Saudi
The enemy ain't Saudi, the enemy around me
There's fluoride in the water but nobody know that
It's also a prominent ingredient in Prozac (for real?)
How could any government bestow that?
A proud people who believe in political throwback
That's not all that I'm here to present you
I know about the black pope in Solomon's Temple
Yeah, about the Vatican assassins and how they will get you
And how they cloned Barack Hussein Obama in a test tube

[Chorus]

[Verse 2: Vinnie Paz]

Whoever built the pyramids had knowledge of electrical power
And you know that that's the information that they suppress and devour
Who you think the motherfuckers that crashed in the tower?
Who you think that made it turn into ash in an hour?
The same ones that invaded Jerome
The ones that never told you about the skeletons on the moon
Yeah, the ones that poison all the food you consume
The ones that never told you about Mount Vesuvius Tomb
The Bird Flu is a lie, the Swine Flu is a lie
Why would that even come as a surprise?
Yeah, the Polio vaccine made you die
It caused cancer and it cost a lot of people their lives
Do y'all know about Bohemian Grove?
How the world leader sacrificing children in robes?
Lucifer is God in the public school system
I suggest you open up your ears and you listen

[Chorus]

[Outro]

The greatest hypnotist on the planet Earth is an oblong box in the corner in the room. It is constantly telling us what to believe is real. If you can persuade people that what they see with their eyes is what there is to see you've got them. Because they'll laugh in your face of an explanation then which portrays the big picture of what's happening... and they have

Road to nowhere - Talking Heads.

Well we know where we're going, but we dont know where we've been
and we know what we're knowing, but we can't say what we've seen
and we're not little children, and we know what we want
and the future is certain, give us time to work it out

yeah

We're on a road to nowhere, come on inside
we'll take that ride to nowhere, we'll take that ride
feeling ok this morning, and you know
we're on a road to paradise, here we go, here we go

We're on a ride to nowhere, come on inside
taking that ride to nowhere, we'll take that ride
maybe you want me while i'm here, i dont care
even when time isnt on our side, i'll take you there, take you there

we're on a road to nowhere
we're on a road to nowhere
we're on a road to nowhere

There's a city in my mind so come on and take the ride, and its alright, baby its alright
and its very far away, but its going day by day and its alright, baby its alright
would you like to come along? you can help me sing this song and its alright, baby its alright
they can tell you what to do, oh god they'll make a fool of you, and its alright, baby its alright

we're on a road to nowhere
we're on a road to nowhere
we're on a road to nowhere
we're on a road to nowhere

"Doctor My Eyes" - Jackson Browne

Doctor, my eyes have seen the years
And the slow parade of fears without crying
Now I want to understand
I have done all that I could
To see the evil and the good without hiding
You must help me if you can?

Doctor, my eyes, tell me what is wrong
Was I unwise to leave them open for so long

'Cause I have wandered through this world
And as each moment has unfurled
I've been waiting to awaken from these dreams
People go just where they will
I never noticed them until I got this feeling
That it's later than it seems

Doctor, my eyes, tell me what you see
I hear their cries, just say if it's too late for me

Doctor, my eyes, cannot see the sky
Is this the price for having learned how not to cry

I just love this group, is amazing, I mean... they have style, if you read the lyrics they are a little weird and darky but the way they play the song... its amazing.

Procol Harum - Conquistador

Conquistador your stallion stands
in need of company
and like some angel's haloed brow
you reek of purity
I see your armour-plated breast
has long since lost its sheen
and in your death mask face
there are no signs which can be seen
And though I hoped for something
to find
I could see no maze to unwind

Conquistador a vulture sits
upon your silver shield
and in your rusty scabbard now
the sand has taken seed
and though your jewel-encrusted blade
has not been plundered still
the sea has washed across your face
and taken of its fill
And though I hoped for something
to find
I could see no maze to unwind

Conquistador there is no time
I must pay my respect
and though I came to jeer at you
I leave now with regret
and as the gloom begins to fall
I see there is no, only all
and though you came with sword held high
you did not conquer, only die
And though I hoped for something
to find
I could see no maze to unwind

Kylie Minogue - Breathe

Don't blame me just because I am bored
I'm needy, I need to taste it all
Don't doubt me just because I am quiet
I'm thinking, thinking about it all

I'm helpless about the way of me
I'm thinking, thinking about it all
I'm sorting everything inside

I'm looking in the space
This time, this void
I'm making my way through the muddy minutes
The pull is in my muscle
The ache is in my bones
It's hard to be alone
(Breathe, breathe)
It won't be long now
(breathe, breathe)

See through me when I put up a fight
Like you to see the things I hide
Go deeper than I won't let you know
I'm frightened but I won't let it show

I'm helpless about the way of me
I'm thinking, thinking about it all
I'm sorting everything inside

I'm looking in the space
This time, this void
I'm making my way through the muddy minutes
The pull is in my muscle
The ache is in my bones
It's hard to be alone
(Breathe, breathe)
It won't be long now
(breathe, breathe)

You know I was listening to "Already Gone" this am going to work. Love that song. the last line in the last verse says it all to me. "So often times we have it that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we have to key. It speaks on multiple levels.
