This one's a real wake up call--definitely worth reading! To most of us what happened in Nazi Germany is just some unreal hazy far off blurry abstraction that really has no meaning for us. As I watch the fog of fascism descend upon us, I can taste the metallic hate and fear it brings with it. Talk about a life that's nasty, brutish and short--this article is a bucket of icewater over the head! I think it's imperitive that we all wake up and fast, cause this is the real thing baby!
Having had the displeasure of working in the "ponerized" Amerikan workplace, I have definitely experienced a taste of what they are talking about here. The "spy network" is one of the first steps. It seems that most people will gladly lower themselves to "suck up" in any way possible, to get in, or "one over" with the machiavellian boss, by spying and ratting on co-workers. This seems to give them a small measure of real power. Even if they are obvious liars (and I think all such spies lie most of the time), they are still considered "useful," and that gives them protection and power--of a sort. I don't think a normal person would consider such a person that would spy and lie on supposed neighbors, pals and co-workers as useful, but those with psychopathic charateristics seem to value this type of person very much--as Dr. L explains in "Political Ponerology."
When discussing our miserable work environment--described very well in the below quote-- with a wise friend and co-worker, he told me, "How do you think the Nazi's did it? They had almost everybody spying on everybody else." Seems he knew what he was talking about.
The other thing that crossed my mind when he told me that, was, "Hey, I've got a degree in political science and another degree, how come I don't know anything about how the Nazi's actually engineered the takeover of a society?" How come I really never really learned much of anything about how things really work in all my years of supposedly good schooling? I never learned much about the true nature of reality--in fact, I learned a lot that was the opposite of the true nature of reality. I had no idea what lay in the future at that point. I just thought my miserable work environment was more of an anomoly than the norm. I learned more on that job than in all my years of school probably.

The Above Article said:They had spies everywhere - people spying on each other, just to have an 'ace in the hole' in case they were accused - and anyone who had a grudge against you could accuse you of something - just an accusation meant you'd disappear. Nobody dared ask where you had gone - anyone who returned was considered suspicious - what had they said, and who did they implicate? It was a climate of fear - there's nothing anyone can do when the government uses fear and imprisonment to intimidate people. The government was above the law - even in Germany, it became 'every man for himself'. Advancement was possible by exposing 'traitors' - anyone who questioned the government. It didn't matter if the people you accused were guilty or not - just the accusation was enough.
