What's happening in Serbia

What do you guys think of Nemanja Šarović? Is he controlled opposition?
Nemanja Šarović (Serbian Cyrillic: Немања Шаровић; born 28 December 1974) is a Serbian politician and journalist. He served several terms in the National Assembly as a member of the far-right Serbian Radical Party (SRS). He left the Radicals in July 2020 and is now the leader of the Love, Faith, Hope (Ljubav, vera, nada, LJVN) political organization.[1] He is a journalist for KTV Zrenjanin and is best known for his satirical coverage of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) rallies.[2]
Since 2023, Šarović has been reporting for the opposition KTV Zrenjanin and gained popularity for his satirical coverage of SNS rallies and interviews with its members.[2][65] Šarović has called KTV Zrenjanin "the only free television in Serbia".[66]

On 8 March 2025, while covering a pro-SNS "student" counterprotest organized in response to university blockades and mass protests that had been ongoing since the Novi Sad railway station canopy collapse in November 2024, Šarović was detained by Serbian Police for "disturbing public order and peace."[67] He was released the same day.[68] Šarović was detained once again on 14 March.[69]
In the following video, he is confronting a policeman, who didn't intervene when his phone was stolen by... another (undercover) policeman! You can hear him say: "remove that uniform if you don't want to work!"

Although there is no concrete evidence proving that Šarović is a controlled opposition figure, his political background and recent actions require close monitoring.

Additionally, based on his latest activities, it seems he is trying to capitalize on the current student movement. However, the students have distanced themselves from him, signaling that they do not see him as part of their cause

Do you think that the escalation in Bosnia at the same time is a coincidence?
The situation in Bosnia has been a long-standing source of political tension, and it's often described as a 'pressure cooker' due to ongoing ethnic divisions and instability. While there are certainly parallels between the protests in Serbia and the recent escalation in Bosnia, the situation in Bosnia has been building for years, influenced by local dynamics and broader regional factors. The protests in Serbia began gaining traction last year, driven by domestic challenges and then serie of tragic events . While it's possible that these events might be linked or even coordinated in some way, I think that the escalation in Bosnia is deeply rooted in its specific political and ethnic challenges.
The tragic events in Macedonia on Sunday, along with the rising tensions in the region, make me wonder whether these developments are part of a specific plan by some higher dark forces ...

No. Just opportunist. All the while he is doing good joob, its OK. He have big credit for exposing mad and grotesque face of the regime to the "average Joe". One day he will be good opposition.

Do you think that the escalation in Bosnia at the same time is a coincidence?
Most probably. But even if there is some intention to escalate things in Bosnia, its in wain. It wont escalate in anything serious. There is no will and strength in people for that. It cant be directed in needed direction, just as it couldn't in Serbia. Macedonia will be in disturbance for a couple of days, buy it will calm down, they don't have strong enough focus point to direct their anger, like Vutchich is that point in Serbia.

The government. And this could be the reason why they did what they did:

I also found these comments:

If this is true, that would put vortex gun pretty far away from the crowd.

And this is what the government was preparing for the demonstrators in the government organized park gathering:

I have the book and it is not a copy/paste.

And we wouldn't be on a brink of civil war. I think that you are right, this is all Laura's fault. :-D
She's the badest ;-D

BTW, we are not in a brink of war. For war you must have at least two sides, and there is only one - people's. The other side is just smoke out psychopathy nervously jiggling around before it goes away, because no one believes it anymore. Its very natural process.

A member of the Serbian Parliament, Marinika Tepić, told the media that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia bought LRAD 450XL devices, which she said are weapons for psychological and physical torture of citizens on the streets. The President of the Freedom and Justice Party, Dragan Đilas, said at a press conference that the party filed a criminal complaint against the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and called on him to resign.

Marinika Tepić showed a document in which it can be seen that the MUP is requesting the purchase of these two types of sound cannons, a total of 16 pieces. The vice-president of the Freedom and Justice Party previously published a photo from March 15 showing a device that looks like a sound cannon on a Gendarmerie SUV stationed near the House of National Assembly.

The President of Serbia said last night that he will not be the head of state if it is determined that the security forces used these devices at the March 15 protest.

Yes, and here is another view on that subject:

Instead of dismissing the minister, the Gendarmerie is expected to be dismissed, especially those who disobeyed the order to beat students

Independent MP Žarko Ristić announced that the Gendarmerie is a unit within the Ministry of the Interior whose responsibility is to secure high-risk gatherings, and that the student protest that took place on March 15, 2025, could perhaps be characterized as risky, but not because of the students, "but because of the criminal elements introduced into "Ćaciland".

"Paid thugs brought from all over Serbia in front of the Presidency building were hired with the intention of causing unrest and turning peaceful student protests into violence and conflicts. The pressure on law enforcement agencies was too great. The one who is "not in charge" wanted to create a big bloody feast at all costs, including a conflict between students and law enforcement agencies. However, he did not succeed in this. He did not succeed, among other things, because some heads of security services ignored the violent command, that is, the command to beat students. From Saturday's protest, not a single video can be found showing members of the gendarmerie beating a student or a young person, or peaceful citizens. No such video can be found, because there was no conflict between students and the gendarmerie," Ristić said in a statement.

He raises the question why and who has an interest in using some new, sophisticated, unconventional weapon after the protest in a moment of fifteen minutes of silence.

"The one who is "not in charge" and who, a few days before the protest itself, tried in every possible way to prevent and thwart the citizens of Serbia from gathering in ever greater numbers and publicly showing that they do not agree with the policies of the ruling regime, was ready to abuse all available means and exceed all possible powers. However, the gendarmerie was not ready to go against its own people. This opposition to the commander-in-chief, that is, the one who is "not in charge", must also be paid for. It will be paid for by publicly defaming the entire unit and creating the image that they are guilty of having weapons, which is not a secret. The media attacks were orchestrated from the same center and for the same reason, which is to create a general climate and an excuse for the dismissal of those who refused to beat their own people," claims Ristić.

This former deputy of the National Movement of Serbia says that many people participate in this media chase for the interest of the one who is "not in charge".

"Something reprehensible has been used against citizens, but think about whether the attacks on the gendarmerie will illuminate the truth or will only create a climate for the dismissal of the disobedient. Of course, citizens are resentful, and in the end, they are the victims. A change of command within the gendarmerie is expected, and the dismissal will not happen because he deviated from the use of bare force against students, but rather because of his possession of weapons, which every citizen now condemns. Instead of the dismissal of the Minister of Internal Affairs, we will have the dismissal of those who refused to beat students. Instead of the dismissal of the one who, with his clumsy statements, is trying to create some kind of confusion and a suspicious situation from the official possession of weapons, those who are no longer obedient will be dismissed," concludes Ristić.

But the question still remains are those LRAD devices something that can cause such effect as seen on 15th of March? If not, then what can?

I made a map of the part of Belgrade where this happened. With the red circle I marked a place where the hit was felt by the people, and with the black circle the place where pro-government forces were stationed. As you can see on the map, you have a straight line between those two points.

Yeah, the investigation about the sonic cannon should be done, but I don’t like seeing those two having media space to present or act in these events. They are just trying to capitalize on the protest, and students are constantly trying to distance themselves from them. Besides, even if they initiated this, I wouldn’t touch those two with a stick.
Đilas, a former mayor of Belgrade has maintained strong connections with Western-backed NGOs and financial networks, leveraging them to sustain his political influence. Tepić, known for her aggressive stance against the current Serbian government, has also been a vocal proponent of policies that serve Western geopolitical strategies in the Balkans. Their political activities, including attempts to undermine national policies that do not conform to Western directives, reinforce the notion that they function as controlled opposition, ensuring that Serbia remains within the sphere of Western influence

My only fear is that Vučić, when cornered, could introduce a state of emergency and send the army to the streets.
And then tragedy would happen.
And not to mention the influence of foreign secret services.
