What's the weather where you are?

Here in the Canary Islands, the weather has been very cold. It was 14°C in the morning, with wind and rain. The islanders say they've never seen such a cold winter. And the rain, and weeks without sun. Or when it does appear, it lasts for an hour, no more. I take advantage of this to get my vitamin D for 15 minutes, and my dogs do too. It's very humid, but the fields are all green, very beautiful. The parks too, and that's where I go for walks and see how happy the birds are eating little earthworms. It's 17°C here, which is cold because the normal temperatures here are around 22°C. On the peninsula, it's crazy cold, snow, rain, and cold. Seeing all this, this cold everywhere in Europe and America, I wonder if this isn't the beginning, really the beginning, of this little ice age that's supposed to be coming. I'm also thinking about the cold in New York right now. They say it's nearing -20°C and that 800,000 people will be without electricity. If that's true, then we should expect many deaths because who can withstand that cold without heat? I was thinking of the elderly, those living alone, impoverished families, and the children of those families.

It has been accumulating for several years.

Here in Mason, Ohio, the temperature is -11 degrees Celsius, with at least 30-40 cm of snow accumulation in the neighborhood. Last night we received a phone alert that the roads were closed and that we should stay home all night yesterday.

Fortunately, I have a fireplace in my apartment. In fact, the warmth of the fire and the smell of wood are very pleasant. You just have to find something to do to pass the time indoors, because going outside is not recommended.
