What's the weather where you are?

An electrical storm consumed the southern French border last night with a spectacular display of lightning and thunder.

The actual time was approximately 20:00 hrs.
This condition will repeat this weekend as a Saharan dust storm fuels the fire.

Today and tomorrow, storms are circulating across the country but it is Saturday that they will be the most violent. Heavy rain accumulations expected in a short time, strong gusts (up to 100 km/h), large hail and intense electrical activity.

Adding to my post few days ago; it has been, in fact the coldest it has ever been here in NSW, Australia. I have woken up to 2-3 degrees C regularly a few times lately. The car windows are getting frosted every morning which was considered rare in this part of the world as per the people who have been here longer. So, its definitely getting colder and colder each year.

Although, you see the odd article in the news talking about lack of snow this season and some heat wave on the other side of the planet. Its rather hilarious now, seeing these articles.

July has arrived and we are, as expected, approaching new temperature records.
The heat wave in Moscow repeated the 134-year record

MOSCOW, July 2 - RIA Novosti. The heat in Moscow reached 31.9 degrees today and repeated the record for July 2 from 1890, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, told RIA Novosti.
"The maximum temperature for July 2 was recorded as early as 1890 – 31.9 degrees. Now it is also 31.9 degrees, the record has been repeated," Wilf and said.
As previously reported by the chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau Tatyana Pozdnyakova, on July 4, the maximum air temperature in the capital may reach 35 degrees.
Жара в Москве повторила 134-летний рекорд

Наступил июль и мы, ожидаемо, приближаемся к новым температурным рекордам.

Eastern Canada is getting much like everywhere else some form of extreme weather, localized here and there, but nothing as bad as some other Southern countries: storm cells, strong winds, tornadoes, heavy rains, light floods, hail, temperature records in the low or the highs, etc. I meant to document this because I've seen many clips on the Weather Network that would have been of interest. But I've been short on time. Here's what I could find today (the rest has been archived already):

Tornadoes:
June 13- F1 over 9,6 km near Pearson, Ontario
Northern Tornado Project confirmed 6 tornadoes on June 13 near Abitibi, Qc

Storm:
June 30- Camping site flooded in Estrie, Qc
June 24- Chertsey, Qc flooded after 110 mm of rain

Waterspout:
June 27- near Cap Saint Ignace

Fire:
June 25- near Churchill Falls, Labrador, threatens hydroelectric central

Moscow continues to be fried on the sly. The temperature is rising, but no one is talking about temperature records today. Thank God that today there was a noticeable rain and in general there is little left to endure, from July 5 we are promised a cold snap.
The air in some areas of Moscow has warmed up to almost plus 34 degrees
Leus: the air in some areas of Moscow has warmed up to plus 33.8 degrees

MOSCOW, July 3 - RIA Novosti. The air in some areas of Moscow has warmed up to plus 33.8 degrees, said Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, on the Telegram channel.
"According to the data for 15 hours, the hottest point (in the Moscow region - ed.) was Baltschug, where the air warmed up to plus 33.8 degrees," Leus wrote.
He noted that the temperature contrasts in the Moscow region exceeded 10 degrees.
