I was an electrical engineer and programmer for IBM for 18 years working on circuit board testers. I currently grade math papers and do other classroom supporting stuff for my third grade teaching wife (I'll be delivering ice cream for a party in a couple hours). We moved to Tucson to care for my mother-in-law and the job market and care situation has resulted in only my wife working. I might try part time sometime but if I stay in my field here it would be military spec circuit boards which makes me a tad uneasy.
Taught myself graphic design and worked professionally from 1982 - 1990. Then full time carer for my wife who died in 1992 and then single parent & carer for my daughter who is now psychologically/emotionally OK. For the past few years have also done a few hours weekly in web design, graphic design and some secretarial stuff. Not sure where I'm going next though.
Right now I do environmental drilling services part time and am working on a bachelors degree in engineering.
I used to work as a drilling contractor (geotech, private, municipal, environmental) from the early 90's to the early 2000's.
