Why Your Brain Flips Over Visual Illusions

That was fun. I was frustrated at first, the pink too much forefront grabbing attention. Then I got up and stepped back about 5 feet, looked at the screen and immediately saw the alternative image! Close up I don't know if I'd ever have gotten it.

so yes this is what you see originally or something similar, and then after few seconds you realize what you are looking at, or a lot people never do.
I run this test on my facebook page and the amount of people who cannot see the proper image without being told what it is - is incredible.
You’re saying that some people don’t see
the forks??
That’s the first and only thing I was sure I was looking at! Weird!🤯Does that mean my brain is wired backwards?🤣

Very nice riddle, thanks for sharing! So, my first impression didn't deceive me - as my second one did! 😄

I was able to see the forks at once when scrolling down the page, but when scrolling back to the top it looked to me like a bunch of weird pink kitchen utensils hanging in front of a sink (blurred in the background). It's interesting what the brain can make out of such things!

I thought this was pretty crazy. First you cannot see it and once you do - you cannot unsee it. It took me at least few minutes.
Lots of people manage to see it on their own and some dont, but as soon as you tell them what they are looking at they see it immediately.
I thought this was nice illustration of "3rd man effect" - how our brain does not see things that we dont know anything about. Incredible!

Please do not reveal it if you see it immediately :)

There is one other possible illusion.
The forks can be either facing down or up. For example, the dots on the handles could be makers’ marks on the back, or you could be viewing the top side where your upper lip goes.

For example, which side are we viewing?
Top one facing up. Bottom one facing down:

Just after this little exercise on how the mind works to organize perception, I found this in my in box which seems synchronistic. This very thing factors into the UFO phenomena according to Valle. Valle thinks we need to move away from the extraterrestrial theory to more of a psyche/ perceptual oriented view of the situation. Goes into theories of how this influences societies and perpetuates the control system. (45 min)

That's very good. A fun little exercise I thought at first maybe I was looking at stuff inside a colander until it clicked.

I got mine in about 10-15 seconds. I couldn't see the whole image so I was scrolling and forced to look at details. When I expanded the page, the image clicked. I was thinking it was literally how the brain works and it was a cross section of a neuron or something.

Well - oddly, I saw the silver image immediately, then my brain switched and began to focus on the pink - it took several minutes to realize i had it right from the beginning. Our brain really does play tricks on us!
