Winter and Snow

In Nozay, 165 meters above sea level, a few kilometers South West of Paris, 18 cm of snowfall have cumulated over the last hours. Last night (7th to 8th of January) temperatures dropped to -20,5°C (-5°F), that's the lowest temperature ever recorded in this weather station. Previous record set in January 1985 : -19.6 (-3°F)

In Cairannes, a Provence village situated only 90 meters (300 feet) above sea level and 50 km (35 miles) away from the Mediterranean sea, an average of 40 cm (1 ft 4 in) daily snowfalls have been recorded today with 70 cm (2 ft 4 in) locally.
