Is the Bible an occult book?

I was roaming the net and came across a post saying that the Bible is an occult book.. that it is written in a language of symbols and that to read it literally is to miss its spirit. She said that the stories of Jesus are the stories of the soul's own journey through the stages of initiation from the manger to the resurrection. What do you guys think of this take? Is it true?

She also said that the Old Testament is the outer veil of the Qabalah. She says that to the uninitiated it is a history of a nomadic tribe but to the initiate it is a symbolic map of the sephiroth describing the descent of divine energy into the world of form. Do you think this is true?

The Bible is a series of books that were written by many different authors over many centuries. Re-written and interpolated by later generations for their own purposes. The version we have today is the result of hundreds of editors, mis-translations and political agendas for hundreds of years.

There is no "one" message that ties all of those books together, other than the possibility of promoting the trap of monotheism through dogma.

Many of the early books in The Wave deal with specific sections of the Old Testament. What was going on in those Old Testament writings is very different than presented in current scripture. Laura's work and the C's sessions on that subject dig into many of the lost aspects that may have been intended in the original context for which they were written.

Reading, "From Paul To Mark", and carefully trying to understand the religious-political context of that time, is in my opinion, the best way to get a grasp on the meanings and events throughout the New Testament and how the ideas of the Old Testament contributed to the rise of Christianity and how it relates to our world today through Paul's message.

Hello, can you post a link, please, if possible? I am studying some "historical" texts and I have been stumbling upon those precise elements. Thank you!

These types of things saying that there are codes in the Bible and that's what was meant for us to find has been going around for years and years. It's a bunch of horse hockey from those who have pattern recognition running amok.

As Jtucker said, read From Paul to Mark to see what the Bible was and is all about. All this "code" thing does is lead to more and more people being lead astray of just what the Bible is.
