Yes, I am becoming rather paranoid, as it seems that the tracking of these "click bait" sites is getting rather fine tuned and invasive. Three days ago, I clicked on a photo of a mini greenhouse, on a retail site called "Wayfair" on Facebook. As I was viewing the products, I read that it was a "Wholesale site for Professional Outlets" and so I closed the windows, and left the website. 5 minutes later, my Landline phone rang, it was a representative from WAYFAIR, following up, as I had viewed the website! There have been purchases made in the past, to that company, by my Husband. So, they have- our IP address, of course our home address because the products he ordered were delivered, and apparently our private landline on file. My guess is that those that take the "Predict covid-19 Hotspots" survey might just be adding their private info for a "One Way" taxi ride to god knows where...

In Spain things are getting weirder every day. They are imposing mandatory masks in all public spaces, including outside, even if there is more than 1,5 m between people. This measure started in Cataluña and Baleares, and starting from tomorrow it is being extended to Extremadura, a region where temperature in summer reaches 40 °C or even more. It looks like other regions are looking to do the same. What strikes me is that all these regions are governed by left wing parties. Another thing they have in common is that, except for Cataluña, they were barely affected by the "big" Corona wave in spring. Some of them are very important tourist destination and others, like Aragon and Extremadura, mainly agricultural. What I understood was that you could get fined for not wearing a mask even if you were walking alone in a forest or on an empty sidewalk. At 40°C!!! They are completely insane. And all this because there were a few people infected(that's what they say, although I don't know what to believe anymore). And among those infected, most were asymptomatic and very few made it to the hospital.
They are trying to scare us that there are many young people infected, but with very few and mild symptoms. It doesn't make any sense.
What I noticed where I live, which is a different region from those mentioned above, was that most people do wear masks outside, even when it is not required to do so. It looks scary. Today, my son asked me where was my mask when I went for a walk with him. He sees everybody, including most children, wearing masks. I was puzzled. He even asked for one for himself one week ago. I told him that these masks are very unhealthy and not good for children. That we, the adults, have to wear them sometimes, although I hate them and I feel uncomfortable.

This is insane and torture and this is just the beginning. I don't want to think what they have in mind. Make people suffer with this horrendous economic situation is not enough for them. They will continue. Everywhere is like this. It is a sadistic situation and a masochistic situation also.

I bored a hole into my N95 mask today and inserted the gas detector probe into it. Four breaths later......



Drops by 20% to 16.6%, Normal oxygen level should read 20.8% at my 700 meter altitude. I used to work on Germany's highest mountain, breathing only a 14.4% oxygen concentration, took a little getting used to but I wasn't breathing 40000 ppm C02 concentrations like I do in these masks. Masks have their uses but I don't like wearing for any longer than necessary on a job. I get dizziness and headaches after 15 minutes. Our regular masks have exhaust outlets and I've worn them for hours during bush fires, much better than the N95's but apparently the the exhaust port releases billions of virus everywhere.

Just in the last few days, we here at work have been forced to take some "training" about COVID-19. And this "training" apparently includes future plans that are forcing me to think about drawing some new "lines in the sand" about what I will put up with.

(Note: I live in Sacramento County, CA, USA and work for a sewer district there. What I share here was sent to everyone in the sanitation district, which includes over 1,000 people. Mods: If you feel more identifying information needs to be removed, I will understand. But I want to give as clear a picture of what is going on here as possible.)

Here is the e-mail I received two days ago, slightly redacted. It's a video I have to watch, with an accompanying test I have to take and pass in order to continue working here. Note the bolded, italicized, underlined sentence with the different font in the third paragraph below. I will discuss this later:

This training is viable for anyone with an internet connection and does not need to be completed with SASD/Regional San network access. This training can be accessed on any device with an internet connection, i.e. cell phone, on a work laptop in the field, on a home computer/laptop/tablet, etc. Please be sure to use your legal name as recorded for employment purposes and your work email address. You must watch the online video training until the end (100% watched) and have 90% accuracy on the questions to receive credit for this training. There are 11 questions asked throughout the video. I took that test just now, and wrote down the questions that I had to answer. I won't list them all, just a few that are relevant.

Question #3: "Quarantine keeps someone who was in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 away from others" - TRUE...even if they are asymptomatic. So right there, with the contact tracing that is now in evidence in California, all I have to do is pass close to someone who has "tested positive" for COVID-19 as determined by anyone with a cell phone that has installed the contact tracing application (which is done now automatically, without alerting the owner, for anyone who uses their phone to access the internet - I checked) at any time in the last three weeks ("symptoms appear up to 21 days after exposure") and I can be forcefully made to "quarantine", even if I test negative. And this is being programmed into the heads of everyone who works for the county as "necessary".

Question #4: "Isolation keeps someone who is sick or tested positive for COVID-19 without symptoms away from others, even in their own home" - TRUE. So, they are doubling down on the "positives" who are asymptomatic being forced into quarantine, just because of the FEAR. Which basically means that anyone, at any time, can be forced off the street "justifiably" even if they only caught a whiff of a passing motorist on the freeway who happened to test positive - just because you were in the general vicinity. And if you don't answer "TRUE" on the test, you have to re-take it until you are properly brainwashed - or you can't return to work.

And the last question, but the one that makes me fear for my own future: Question #10: "Having your temperature checked at one of the temperature check monitoring stations is optional" -

FALSE.

I haven't yet talked to my supervisor about this, and I haven't seen a station set up yet in my lab, but I fully intend to ask her this on Monday because this crosses a line for me. At that point, I am no longer in charge of my own reaction to this virus. When I let someone with a temperature gun decide for me whether or not I can work, or that I need to be "confined", then I no longer can decide my own fate. And I already know there are a few people at work who think I am a monster for not wearing masks the entire time, and for having spread doubts about this HOAX since the beginning. If one of them were to be holding the "gun" at my head, I don't know that I can trust them.

So I am now considering my next move. I could apply for early retirement, but I would not get enough money from it to pay all of my bills. I recently had to sign a year-long lease which still has ten months to go, so I am hamstrung in my ability to move without financial difficulties. But if I am made to take that temperature test, I still think my best bet is to refuse it and risk losing everything, just to keep my sanity - and freedom...even if that means living under a bridge. I do have a lot of cardboard, though...

I'd agree with Hiat here the temp checks not bad. Here In the UK there now pushing the mask agenda in shops this is when the push from these idiots who make the rules. I will find this difficult. As others have said I'll ensure I have a creative mask with a nice message on and only wear it when I'm asked. I probably say I have some ailment to try and make myself exempt. But what if they malfunction in a way that it will show you have a fever when you don’t? Then there’s a high probability that you’d be ‘taken in’ and put on the Stasi tracing list. I’d say, avoid those temp checks if you can do it without causing too much commotion.
