Major Austrian Protests Following Lockdown for the Unvaccinated

This is my story how I spent my day at the demonstration. I also sent it as a report to my family who always enjoy my report. Not everybody can come, so if I tell them my experiences they have the feeling a little bit more to have been there, too. Of course I wrote it in German and translated with Google - and deepl, so therefore it might be not so perfect english!

I dont have illusions and maybe the PTB sit and laugh into their fists! But: It was a good day, with good people! . .. . surely to be continued . . .

:-)Your report N unintentionally demonstrates the difference between those that care/are protesting, and those that don't....

There have been some bits of violence (and there's always the possibility it was provoked - even intentionally so) - but it's remarkable how peaceful the marches around the world have been. Very ordinary decent people that wouldn't normally march.

It really shows how genuinely very concerned they are.

Which is wonderful and precisely what is needed, anything else weakens legitimacy and provides an excuse for the system to use overhwelming force.

The big question is where it's headed. The system has lost the population here in Ireland too, but so far is twisting the data and blindly pressing on.

An open letter from a group of Vorarlberg police officers is making waves.

Because of compulsory vaccination: police officers practice the rebellion
Resistance against the federal government's Covid policy is apparently forming among Vorarlberg police

Resistance is apparently forming in Vorarlberg police circles against the Covid measures imposed by the government. In an "open letter", the unknown authors specifically criticize the vaccination requirement. The provincial police directorate distances itself from the letter.

On Tuesday, an unsigned "open letter" became public, which, according to its self-definition, originates from "critical and vigilant police officers from Vorarlberg who have not yet lost their democratic and moral compass" and is addressed to various public institutions, parties, interest groups as well as to the "alternative press".

The contents of the letter are quite interesting: among other things, the federal government as well as the federal president are called upon to "restore social peace, end the division between the population and give back personal responsibility to the Austrian people". A concrete demand is the abolition of the vaccination obligation, in addition recovered and vaccinated with antibodies should get back "their full rights permanently". "2G does not prevent covid from spreading, vaccination does not protect against disease and transmission," the - scientifically inconsistent - argument goes.

At the provincial police headquarters, the applause is limited. In response to a question from the "Krone" newspaper, it was stressed that they were distancing themselves from the letter and were trying to find the authors. However, they do not have to fear any sanctions: The content is not criminally relevant, it is a "free expression of opinion".

In general, the police also feel that the social climate has cooled noticeably. "We keep receiving e-mails from citizens who insult us and give free rein to their anger," says Susanne Dilp from the press office of the regional police directorate. Addendum: "However, the police can withstand this criticism."

Susanne Dilp, Press Office of the Vorarlberg Regional Police Directorate.: "The Vorarlberg police dissociate themselves from the content of this letter. It is the personal opinion of the authors, this is not representative."

However, hostility must be unbearable for those who have been performing almost superhuman tasks since the beginning of the crisis - namely the employees in the care and health sector. In Vorarlberg, too, incidents of this kind have recently increased, which is why the police have stepped up their presence in front of the hospitals.

Something that mights stir up people. The "Kronen Zeitung" is one of the most read mass newspapers. ORF ist the state broadcasting company. "Licht ins Dunkel" (Light into darkness) is happening every year during Christmas time. They want some money from the population for some charity purposes. The rumors go that large portions of the money are seeping away somewhere

Translation of the text:

We are in lockdown and people at ORF were dancing
With its horrendous visuals, the big "Licht ins Dunkel" gala on ORF provoked angry reactions: While the entire country remains in a hard lockdown, concerts are canceled and bars are closed, celebrities in tails danced to the sounds of "Live Is Life" in front of the camera on Wednesday evening. Among them: Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg and Vice President Werner Kogler.

Without masks, but visibly in a good mood, dozens of guests at the big "Licht ins Dunkel" gala on Wednesday evening on ORF clapped, sang and danced - while the rest of the country is only allowed to leave the apartment to work, walk and shop. Numerous angry viewers complained on social networks shortly afterwards, and the good purpose of the event took a back seat.

"Tighten the reins"
Among the prominent guests were also, of all people, those members of the government who demanded particularly much discipline from the population: Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg and Vice-Chancellor Werner Kogler, who recently wanted to "tighten the reins". They swayed together on camera to Opus, Andrea Berg and DJ Ötzi.

"Not celebrated, but collected"
Still Director General Alexander Wrabetz already seemed to suspect that the mood among the viewers could tip: Even before the broadcast, he said, "I think you will quickly see, this is not a celebration, but a collection for a good cause. There is a show, but not for the people who are there, but for the audience, which sits in larger numbers at home and experiences something beautiful from Andrea Berg to Opus."

My comment: Those who want to believe this explanation will believe it.

MFG is a party that constituted itself in 2021, mainly in opposition to the corona-regime. Dr. Brunner is a lawyer.

MFG with the population against compulsory vaccination

Mandatory vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 is seriously contrary to fundamental rights and violates the Nuremberg Code of 1947, thus international law.

In view of the vaccination damage cases in the millions (EMA-Datenbank – ausführliche Tabellen), the enormous deaths, a vaccination obligation represents a direct interference in the right to life. It is not reasonable for anyone to accept self-harm or death.

What is unreasonable can never mean culpable action in the sense of an administrative criminal law.

The resolution of the Council of Europe, No. 2361, of 27.01.2021 prohibits the member states, thus also Austria, any compulsory vaccination and any discrimination in case of a refusal to vaccinate. However, the resolution is unfortunately not directly enforceable.

In a constitutional state, we will not tolerate compulsory vaccination and, together with the population, will take action against it using all the means legally available to us.

Every individual has the right to take all legal remedies and legal recourse against (unlawful) administrative acts to enforce compulsory vaccination within the framework of the legal protection granted to them by law.

We have therefore already drawn up a legal concept for the population, which we will deepen with lawyers and other legal experts.

So if a vaccination obligation should actually be introduced (unconstitutionally), we will be well legally equipped against it at that time at the latest.

Accordingly, we will then provide the population with comprehensive legal information, guidance and all the necessary legal information as well as legal remedies and appeals as respective samples for downloading.

We can assume that tens of thousands of people and many more will defend themselves legally, whom we will support with information and sample submissions.

Each individual must get into action, everyone is called upon to leave the comfort zone for good in order to defend democracy, to restore the rule of law, to shape a future worth living for our children.

Obviously, even their own party members are bursting at the seams. There have already been resignations.

In reaction to this event:
The lawyer and ÖVP municipal councilor (!!!) in Sollenau in Lower Austria, Stefan Danzinger, has brought charges against six politicians -

also from his own ranks. Specifically, it is about Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg (ÖVP), Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler (Greens) and the ÖVP government members Elisabeth Köstinger, Karoline Edtstadler and Martin Kocher, as well as "other persons still to be investigated".

I'm unsure from the text N whether the guy is bringing charges in the wider context and against forced vaccination, or at the detail level regarding their disregard for their own rules which are forced on everybody else.

The latter would be no harm, but it could prove a distraction - as before what matters is that the protest movement finds a way to get real traction in Austria. (and elsewhere)

The news of late is not great, we badly need for something to give. As elsewhere Germany has turned to talking forced vaccination and the EU also: Europe Covid: Time to think about mandatory vaccines, Ursula von der Leyen says - T-Gate

It feels utterly contrived - the new variant propaganda wave, and now all of this.

The big question is what might it take to stop this train. Expert opinion, hard data and protest have so far proven meaningless, they continue anyway.

Here's hoping that the Universe has it in hand because it's going to take something very powerful to get the business done...

Obviously, even their own party members are bursting at the seams. There have already been resignations.
They reasoned that they did a TV-Production, not an event.
ORF justified the activities at the "Licht ins Dunkel" gala by stating that it was a TV production and not an event. TV productions are also allowed to be held in lockdown. The guests - high-ranking politicians and celebrities alike - were not guests in the true sense of the word, he said, but contributors to the gala who also took donations on the phones during the evening. "In this capacity, they were part of the production and thus entitled to exit. The politicians present participated in the TV production in their professional capacity." In addition, all contributors had been "of course" 2G checked and tested on the day.

Does that mean all Austrians can party, or do whatever they want, if they have a youtube stream running? Possibly asking for money as well for a good cause? Good to know!

After ex-Chancellor Kurz announced his retirement from politics, the current Chancellor Schallenberg as well as Finance Minister Gernot Blümel also resigned from their posts!

Probably too much involved in dark businesses, I guess. But what will come next?

And sooooo many demonstrations yesterday all over Austria! OMG! Do the Austrians wake up? I am very astonished and surprised! Is it still the same country I am living in  🥰 ?

A quick look at news reports N doesn't seem to add much regarding the background to the resignations, but the reasons Schallenberg gave don't sound very credible.

It'd be great if the protests are proving effective. Schallenberg was presumably at least fronting the push for compulsory vaccination, although there seem to be suggestions that Kurz was pulling the strings from behind.

Kurz looks (visually/intuitively) to be very much in the Blair/Trudeau/Macron groomed bright young thing mould, so maybe his exiting politics is the real development?

A lot I guess will depend on who and what tendency takes over...

Whatever the case it does sound as though Austria is awake, and that there's a serious mass commitment to continuing the protests!

Next one! Minister of Education Fassmann resignes.

Translation of the article:

Fassmann also quits
Kurz, Schallenberg, Blümel - and now also Faßmann! The Minister of Education is also quitting his post, at his own request, according to reports.
In the ÖVP board meeting, it continues to go blow by blow. Now leaked out: Education Minister Heinz Faßmann is also to lose his post, insiders say that this is done at "his own request", he has made his office available as a maneuvering mass to satisfy covetousness of the states. His successor is already fixed, it is the Styrian university rector Martin Polaschek, reports the "Kleine Zeitung". On Thursday, it was still strongly denied that Faßmann's ministry post was on shaky ground, but now it happened very quickly.

With the colported neo-minister Martin Polaschek, Styria would also have a politician post in the new government. Martin Polaschek, 56 years from Bruck an der Mur, is a legal scholar and legal historian, since October 2019 he is rector of the University of Graz. A final confirmation is still pending on the part of the ÖVP, personnel decisions will be announced at a press conference at 11:30 am.
