Well I can't deny the feeling,
Yes I know, I'm in too deep
The only reason that I'm in this world,
Is to wake up from this sleep.
Now life is a hard school, when you're living a lie
Tell me who'll bring you water, when your well runs dry?
Ah but there's always tomorrow, you'll do the things that you should
You're just a sad eyed dreamer, but your intentions are good.
You got a way of leaving me no doubt
You got a way of telling me what I'm about
I couldn't take it from anyone else, yeah I really surprised myself
Cause you got a way that you do it
It's the way that you do it
The way that you do it just got to be right.
Keep This Train A-Rollin'
Sure as that old whistle's blowin'
There's a tug upon my heart
Somewhere in that misty mornin' light
There's another brand new start
Sometimes I'd love to see this end
And watch it fall apart
'cause it's still such a long road
And we're a long way from the start
You know anyone can say what's wrong
That don't make it right to me
We weren't born into this life
To walk away from everything
Once you get the blues in your stride
All you need's a song to survive
You think by now we would know that
We're gonna keep this train a-rollin'
We ain't gonna break down on this highway
We could sit here waitin', worried, wonderin'
Wishin' we were somewhere other than right here
But we're right here

Day One - I'm doing fine
Everyone has
Their own centre to this universe
But it stops right there
And kids who try and see it all
Writing graffiti on the wall
But it stops right there
And we're all in the know
From one television show
But it stops right there
And take care of yourself
'cause it's all about ourselves
And it stops right there
I'm lost looking in a sea of faces everywhere
Now where did she go?
I need to find her quickly
To immerse my insecurity
I'm lonely amongst these people
And I need to feel love
And I need to feel part of something
Is that strange?
And why are they reluctant to talk
And why do they look alone when they walk?
I see a face but no names
But despite my confusion
I've come to the conclusion
That people
Need people
It's something I forget
But I've come to accept
That people
Need people
And I'm alright
And I'm ok
I'm surviving well
Without you
And what did you want
And what did you expect
Did you want me to still talk about you?
No, no way
I'm on my own now
And doing fine ( and doing fine )
No, no way
I'm on my own now
And doing fine ( and doing fine )
And anyone can give
Money to a good cause
But it stops right there
And anyone can sign
A petition to change the law
But it stops right there
And we can believe in socialism
Or any theorism
But it stops right there
And take care of yourself
'cause it's all about yourself
And it stops right there
But I'm not part of this
I'm not seeing what they're seeing
I'm staring at the ceiling to the world
To see what is lying
On the horizon
Maybe I'll see you again someday girl
But despite my raw deal
I still feel
That people
Need people
It's something we forget
But we must accept
That people
Need people
And I'm alright
And I'm ok
I'm surviving well without you
And what did you want
And what did you expect
Did you want me to still talk about you?
No, no way
I'm on my own now
And doing fine
No, no way
I'm on my own now
And doing fine
I'm doing fine
No greater power, no greater gift to lose
Then the message unspoken, the silence of the truth
Alone we hide in the shadows
But together we bring on the light
One voice is not strong enough
One heart just won't do
In this world, I don't count for much
Unless I stand for you
Oh, we are the beginning of a sound that might be heard
To the many who lie waiting
Our words break through the cold grip of silence
And they guide us through the night
One voice is not strong enough
One heart just won't do
In this world, I don't count for much
Unless I stand for you
One choice is all we got
One fact remains true
In this world, I don't count for much
Unless I stand for you
Not another minute, not another hour
We're gonna rise on up every man, woman and child
(I believe that the time has come)
Oh, I stand for you, alone we hide in the shadows
But together we bring on the light

Ulali Project at River People Festival 2014
Ulali - Rattle Songs
This is a grouping of rattle songs from Ulali's first album, Mahk Jchi (1996). Enjoy! I have a selection of photos running from many of the well known Chiefs to actual photos from Elk Ridge and "The Hostile Camp". Indians relaxing on Custer's Bluff and a re-enactment of Wounded Knee. Early gold miners in 1889 to Wild Bill Hickok's grave marker. If you'd like info on any of the photos used I would be happy to try to help.
BUT this is the best acapella 10 minute compilation of the singers above - but the owner restricted embedding so you have to go direct to youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc0bI7_yM-o&index=227

Dombra by Kazakh woman
Enjoy it! Semantron's voice. Footage about spirituality.
Toaca or Semantron, wooden board instrument used along or shifted with the bell to call worshipers to prayer and to announce liturgy or other religious events. Toaca still being used until today and can be found in the most of Eastern Orthodox Churches and Monasteries.
TOACA (Semantron - the wood's song from monastery)
Great mix to potter to - modern music, few vocals, range in tempo and style but all rather gentle and warming - the guy has loads of mixes out so if you like...
