This one is from the Czech Republic, just north of the second largest town in the country, Brno in Moravia from 11th of August.

Photographer describes how no paths lead to crop circle
August 17, 2010

The regular circle was discovered by photographer Martin Roháček in a field near road number 150 near Skalice nad Svitavou. "On Wednesday, 11 August, I rode a bike when I noticed the circle in the field," said Roháček.

Roháček was intrigued by a strange circular pattern resembling an ornament in the middle of the field. "And this is quite unusual for this time there was only one. It was situated about 1200 meters above the lake, in a spot where the field rises toward Brno." Roháček described.

"I was awe-struck, I've never seen anything like this in my life. I have already heard and read much about it, the internet is full of it, but to see it with your own eyes is something completely different," says Roháček.

The young photographer returned to the site on Friday 13th. “Unfortunately for about the last sixty meters I had to walk through standing grain, no paths lead to the circle. I stayed for about an hour and took several shots," said Roháček.

According to Roháček the regular circle has a diameter of thirty-two paces. "I want to add that a similar mysterious circle appeared at the same time in fields near the village of Rozseč nad Kunštátem, which is about ten kilometres from here as the crow flies," said the photographer.

As there is no aerial view it's hard to say if it is the real deal, but in the article the photographer describes that there were no paths leading to the circle.

Looks a lot like a winged sun-disk, to me.

Methinks it's another fake..

(Also, at the comments section of the next cc at lurkeley hill it is being discussed as being fake, but not on the pages for the Avebury circle itself, it seems.)

Lots of shoddy circles thrown around this year!

Yes, I was wondering ... it seemed indefinably off. The construction line are a dead giveaway though, embarrassing I didn't see those :P

Perhaps this crop circle has to do with the latest solar flares directed to the earth in this month
It looks like the holy grail or something......................

Interesting circle, that does not look as a circle

I really don't know why but this CC has been stuck in my head for awhile. Whether it be fake or not it brings to mind an eruption of Yellowstone. The circle being magma rising up. I could be way off base but that was my first thought.

It seems like crop circles just 'stopped' - a bit early this year (at least before most harvests). Or are pictures not being taken?

Hmm, I thought the same thing at first, I also thought that this season seemed to have less formations in total.

I took a look on the cropcircleconnector site and found that it listed 58 from this year with the last one being on the 23rd of August. I do not have access to the archives on that site but I looked at my personal archive (which I think includes all of the ones posted on this forum last year), and came up with exactly 58 as well and the last one being on the 29th of August. Last years season did seem to start almost a month earlier though, so that may be partially to blame for the perceived brevity of this years season.

It does however, after looking through this year's formations in comparison with last year's formations, seem that the amount of high quality and high complexity formations was significantly less. A bit disappointing to me.

I thought an interesting part of this was the DNA-like helix thing connecting two of the circles.

on last weekend's episode of the (usually excellent) BBC program "Q.I." (quite interesting) they dedicated the opening segment to 'debunking' crop circles.
the "facts" presented were laughable, and since this show has usually EXCELLENT research, this whole thing smells strongly like damage control/disinfo, since they surely must have stumbled upon alot of information that doesn't gel with the official story.
they even had a special Q.I. cropcircle made with the show's logo and had the 3 men in the studio who claim they do crop circles all the time (with the ol' rope and planks).
it just goes to show that even 'good' tv programming is part disinfo.

add to that the host - Stephen "Science Is God" Fry* and you got yourself a recipe for debunking and ridiculing "conspiracy nuts".

*i really like him, i think he is brilliant, but his feverish belief in science and "progress" is stomach-churning.

Circle # 3 from he left look like a pac man and I fun it funny remembering that I saw a photo of the pac man nebula this week with the comet Hartley2. Here is link to the photo;

Could the second circle represent the comet Hartley 2, make you wonder what the 2 together may send this way. Just a thought, maybe something that will trigger change in our DNA.

Yes, I saw this and felt exactly the same way. Not one suggestion that the more complex designs may be not be so easily explained, not one image of a crop circle except the extremely simple 'QI' one. The hoaxers even suggested that 'believers' were so crazy that they didn't change their minds even after hearing about their fake crop circles, it's so one sided it's pathetic. Such a shame because QI is usually VERY interesting and funny too.

Does QI have a website where you could leave comments that others would read?

If so, it might be a good idea to discuss how the more complicated ones that appeared in one night couldn't possibly have been done by such pranksters. Perhaps publicly challenging them to prove so would affect their credibility and possibly undo a small amount of damage done by the close minded disinformation.

Heck, if someone wrote a serious debunking of their debunking and promote it on social media, perhaps search engines would rank such a web page high enough to sit right next to IQ in the results when someone tries to Google the episode.

shows like that are maddening. Magician comedians Penn and Teller have a show called Bullsh*t that debunks myths using mostly mockery and little science. I came across an episode once where they were tackling UFOs and abductions and got so irate in the first few minutes I had to turn it off.

Bread and circuses to keep the masses entertained and spoon fed what to believe. It's pathetic how conditioned people a have become that even ridiculous efforts at pseudoscience is enough to convince many of one thing or another.

Simply maddening.
