2014 Crop Circles

I wonder if the legit crop circles stopped appearing.

I don't think they stopped appearing yet. We still get a few impressive ones. Bavarian one is the most beautiful for this year, IMO.
Here are a couple more from August:

The Ark Lane, Essex circle does look a bit clumsy, but intricate enough to maybe suspect some kind of technology involved? Of human origin that is. Not just sticks & ropes.fwiw

I haven't looked closely enough yet at the field photos to make any judgement on possible authenticity. It looks quite plain in comparison to other crop circles, but fwiw, my initial thoughts are the main circular image is a clock/countdown device/compass :)

The main circular image made me think of a seven spoked wheel I read about somewhere in The Wave. (edit: here: http://cassiopaea.org/2010/05/08/the-wave-chapter-5-perpendicular-realities-tesseracts-and-other-odd-phenomena…/ )

Q: [T tries again.] (L) Why don’t you just draw it on the board for us? [Clamps pencil next to planchette on piece of paper.] Okay guys, draw! [The planchette draws an inner circle surrounded by an outer circle, connected by seven spokes — rather like a wagon wheel.]
Q: (J) Is this like a crop circle?
A: Has been done, yes. Designates union of perpendicular realities.

Funny, the Ark Lane thing :)

There is the following article on RT that talks about a new and strange "crop circle" that appeared in Mexico on the Christmas Eve.

That's some messy and "drunken" crop circle. Personally, I think that maybe it has something to do with electrical phenomena. Lightning, plasma related? Especially after reading the following:

In a cloudy and rainy sky, residents of the municipality 25 km northeast of Mexico City reportedly saw bright lights on Thursday night. According to local media, the next morning they were surprised to see strange patterns in a local barley field.

What do you think? Here's the video:

I think with that Mexico one we've strayed out of the field (no pun intended) of actual crop circles. But as you said, it would be interesting if they were some form of lightning or other electrical discharge phenomenon!

I don't know. I used to see that sort of pattern in the fields around where I lived. There was even a word for it which escapes me now. It was usually attributed to wind and/or blustery weather. But if there was no wind, plus the reports of light phenomena, then it becomes more interesting. The size of area is unusual, and from the air it does look like an electrical discharge pattern. Were there any reports on the condition of the plants in the flattened parts? Proper crop circles had no damage to the plants as they were bent into the patterns.

Great thread but I still see us bogged down in equating genuine with aesthetically pleasing.
This was the trap that fooled me for so long.
My recent favorite find was on the ironically titled "Crop Circle Wisdom" site, a hoaxer run disinformation site. In one piece, former "Team Satan" leader John Lumdnerg claims crop circle researchers are "demonizing" him...

I've heard of wind and rain damage to crops referred to as lodging.

Yes, I've seen the same issue in crops near here... window is usually given as the reason, but it's weird to see that the damage is like in a blob near the edge, but not always on the outside rows. Sometimes kids are blamed, but if no footprints are found, that seems even more odd as an excuse.

Thanks to everybody for posting and including the comments of the C's.

I always get goosebumps when looking at those cropcircles. And it must be wonderful just to be in those places, I was told.

:) :knitting: :)

I'm definitely guilty of that. Somehow I think genuine crop circles are supposed to be mathematically perfectly laid out. I'm probably more wrong that I can imagine.
