I expect the courts to uphold the result and spew some stuff about democracy and how the "evidence" gathered by Trump and his team isn't evidence.

I suspect this is why high ranking republicans have been quiet throughout this week. They KNOW the script. They KNOW Trump is done. They've moved into self preservation mode. This is Rome all over again.

Just an observation, but I think you are suffering from 'anticipation overload'. You make up all these scenarios in your mind which then ties you up in knots and makes you crazy.

I think it is best to sit back and observe, and detach yourself from any particular outcome. IMO.

I wrote a reply, read it, deleted it, wrote another, read it, deleted.

I kind of agree, but don't agree. It's a different discussion, but this isn't the correct thread. Maybe I'll start a thread to ask these questions, to explore and try to understand some of these things that seem to come up from time to time.

Supervisor says some Detroit poll workers not capable of doing the job​

This in an older article by the Detroit Free Press describing the 2016 election.

The average age of poll workers nationwide is 68. Detroit workers are older, Winfrey said earlier this week. And the work is grueling — 15-18 hours with only two one-hour meal times and two other 15-minute breaks.

“We’re getting older folks doing it because they’ve always done it like me, and we’re getting another group doing it because it’s an easy way to make a $150,” Flournoy said.

“I’ve had workers in precincts I supervise who couldn’t read. They absolutely could not read and couldn’t operate the computer,” he said, adding that Winfrey should return to giving the aptitude test she created when she was first elected. “That’s where it goes back to — training. Training is supposed to be mandatory, but I’ve had people to show up and say ‘No, I didn’t do training, but they gave me a credential.' ”

Detroit Elections Director Daniel Baxter disputed Flournoy’s claims and said that all poll workers still take the test, and that all workers, including supervisors, are properly trained. A poll challenger who wanted to be described only as a housewife and grandmother from the suburbs told a shocking story of how poll workers hired by the city of Detroit to scrutinize ballots apparently could not read.

“They were transferring information from a spoiled or mismarked ballot to a new ballot, and the two individuals changing the ballot could not read. A supervisor had to coach them through the process, not because they didn’t know the process but because they couldn’t read,” she explained.

The poll challenger used to tutor remedial reading to third fourth and fifth graders and dealt with children who could not read, and she said it was clear that these poll workers were illiterate. She was also threatened by poll workers at the facility.

I think that would be a very good idea @SOTTREADER. A few members here (& on the Coronavirus thread) have given you some valuable feedback, but this is not the thread for it. Your own thread discussing your emotional reactions to global events would be more appropriate.

Why is Biden getting hundreds of thousands more votes than other down-ballot Democrat candidates in key swing states?​

In nearly every non-swing state, the number of votes cast for either President Trump or Joe Biden roughly matched that of the other candidates running for Congress from the same party – meaning Republican congressional candidates received approximately the same number of votes as Trump, and the same for Biden. But in key swing states like Michigan and Georgia, this was mysteriously not the case.

In Michigan, for instance, Biden carried nearly 70,000 more votes than Gary Peters, who ran for Congress and won. The difference in the number of votes between Trump and John James, who challenged Peters and lost, on the other hand was only about 7,000 votes.

Similar anomalies were observed in Georgia, where Biden received a whopping 95,801 more total votes than one of the Democrat Senate candidates. Trump, meanwhile, only received 818 more total votes than the GOP Senate challenger.

Again, just to reiterate: In the most highly contested states where Biden has suddenly and mysteriously taken a massive lead over Trump there are major disparities between how many votes Biden received verses how many votes other Democrat candidates running for other offices received, which is suggestive of fraud.

The obvious answer is that voter fraud is prolific in these swing states, of which there are currently seven – and possibly more.

The states of Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin are all showing anomalous results that the Trump administration is currently trying to challenge through legal means, hopefully with at least some success.

I don't know what you think but playing golf in this particular moment is like delivering a message that " everything is fine and under control " I might be wrong but this is something I noticed

Is this going to be a thing now? Although I'm in Portland, the first BLM march in my neighborhood came today after the Biden "win." Certainly it gave the neighbors an opportunity to show off their Biden/Harris signs, of which there are many.
