2020 US Election - Let The Games Begin!

Various Musings: Poland and Hungary reacting to curb big tech censorship makes sense. The UK/Bojo paying lip service to opposing California big tech and the left seems odd.

Joe: I have this image of Joe...the grizzled observer sitting in the corner by the front window of the pub with a half full pint and a view of the people in the pub as well as what’s out on the street. Perhaps a bit surly but definitely someone I’d want to go over and talk to.

As for the coming Trump media appearance- is the delay him waffling? Last minute deals? “Lay down your guns and come out with your hands up.” Whatever he does or says it feels like it is going to be a gut punch in the end. He CAN’T really announce anything. If You play the insurrection card, you go in at 330am and round all your enemies up and THEN tell the world. You can’t telegraph that punch.
So my guess is that this will be a bummer let-down kick-the-can-down-the-road at best. At worst he will actually say “It’s a sad day when The Donald has to admit he’s a total loser. Sad. Really sad. Total loser.”

What Pompeo said is common BS and in contrario Trump says in his just released video where he clearly says that this 20 of January the that the people who ... [came ??? ] ... the rules of this nation again ?
I do not understand the principal word, can someone told me what he said (at 34 seconds, from @michaelrc last post)

Still can't pronouce me and better to do not, just watch & wait :wow:

Some notes on Trump

By the way, I'm neither endorsing, nor condemning this "cult like status" Trump may have among many U.S. troops, if that assessment is indeed accurate. I included it in my speculations about Trump's using the military since it says something about Trump's affect on many as a leader. Caesar no doubt had such status with his troops, as well. But, of course, Caesar was not only a military genius, but an advocate of "clementia," as Corotta called it -- which I don't think we see much of in Trump! No, I think Trump inspires loyalty in many people, but it's been said that if you cross him, he never forgets.
There was a press briefing way earlier that I can't find right now where he mentions that one of his advisors spoke to him about revenge. I remember it being beautifully put, but cannot for the life of me recall the words he said. It was something along the lines of that old saying where an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. I just know that I got the feeling that whoever that advisor was, made a great impression on Trump. If anyone remembers the video, please share.

He's been on the record years earlier that he likes to get "even" with people. It's interesting to see how he balances the ideas of revenge and "clementia" and if it may play a role in the future (or past!).
