Amazing Grace By LKJ

Thanks, HH. I'm hoping that the images I'm adding, and a few comments added here and there, will make for more enjoyable reading. I was pretty glum first go-round! I'm still looking through photos, newspaper clippings, and stuff to scan and add when necessary.

I told myself that I was just going to start with one chapter because I had so many things to do. Sure....I read all 10 in one go.
(And now there's 10 more!)

Having followed Laura's work for a while I really appreciate reading it, it puts things into perspective.

thank you for sharing it and it is exciting read. Long ago read it and now I realize I don't remember lot of it.

I read the chapter wherein Laura's grandpa dies and the following chapter last night. It had a huge emotional effect on me. I relived the final 10 days or so before my father died about 6 months ago. Very emotional, as I'm still grieving in waves, on and off. I really experienced additional empathy for what Laura was going through because of this recent experience of mine.

I'm going to continue reading the rest of the chapters that are already uploaded shortly.

Thank you for uploading this book! I remember reading a little bit of it when I first found the cass site in 2002. I have always wanted to read it and will do so now. I have finished the first two chapters. I didn't know that you lived in Augusta. I lived in that area as well for about 11 years of my childhood. It is quite the religious, conservative, and close minded city.

I found a typo as well in chapter 2:

He picked me up and told me not to cry, that we would go right out and get mother pair, but my mother became very angry when he said this.

I know this is an older thread but...Thank you again Laura and Ark for sharing Amazing Grace on line! Thank you to the team here that help make so very much info available and I sure hope you know how inspiring each and every one of you are. While I still have so much reading and work to do, I have found a real since of hope and I haven't felt that in a long time. Each of us has our own journey to get here and by sharing your adventures you have already made so much possible.

Thank you so much Laura for this gift, I found it today, and I feel grateful because I was worried about not be able to find the book, even in English.

This sums up where I'm at with it as well, and I really don't remember the snippets I read back then, so it is like reading it all anew. Thanks so much for sharing this with everyone.

I also wish to convey my deepest thanks to Laura for sharing her story with us all. Even though you are offering it freely here, I feel bound to send a donation in thanks and because I would sincerely have purchased it eventually anyway. Your work becomes ever more important as we move toward whatever this is we're moving toward! I am greatly inspired by your courage, honesty and compassion in the telling of your story. Sending you an e-hug!

I've read a couple chapters now and it really puts things into perspective .
thanks Laura for sharing your live and experiences.

Thanks for this, Laura. I've read the first four chapters. Reading your experience really brought back memories of my own childhood. Our early experiences shape us to be sure. But yet, we are still ourselves, our essence despite it all.

If we can see through the hurt, anger and fear that lingers from growing up in this very strange world we may find the true "I".

Thanks for posting the book and sharing your experiences Laura! I was so excited visiting cassiopaea.org the other day and seeing it newly there--I look forward to reading it!

Just read the whole online book "Amazing Grace" in one sitting. And all I can say is: Jumping Jehosephat, Laura! It's amazing. It takes a strong soul to go through all those life experiences and not only come out into the light but to BE and teach others to wake up and find it in themselves.

Thank you for posting this. I'm really excited to read this book and learn more about the events that made Laura such an amazing and inspiring person.
