Just an update:

I am in the midst of reading the thread that EmeraldHope pointed me to and I apologize because I do not remember reading before that "discussions of such should take place on other forums. Please read the forum rules regarding discussions of drug use - whether from personal experience, or of a 'hypothetical' nature", as is stated in that thread. Fwiw, I did not really want to talk about the drug use itself, but rather the message contained in that context. However, I do understand now, from what EH said earlier and what is said in that thread, that that message should not be trusted. I must admit that one of my first reactions to being lead to that thread was something like, "Ughh! 14 pages of posts about ayahuasca; I don't have time for that; there's so many other things I want to read here instead!" What a lot I learned just from that! And now, reading that thread, I am seeing that there is so much more than I expected there, I am learning so much, and am realizing that it actually is worth my time :D

Btw, it is very interesting to me to see how easily I could have fallen into a trap regarding the hum. Thanks again for pointing that out to me. "Knowledge protects..."

I have been searching around some more about "the hum", and came across a thread at:

This brings me back to what I brought up here:

[...] maybe it is directly related to "the wave". Does anyone know if this is so, or even possible? I thought perhaps it might be the sound made by the wave and/or the energy associated with it. Or, could it be the sound of one of the "earth changes" that are happening at this time, perhaps relating to electro-magnetism of some sort?

So, personally, I feel satisfied with the C's answer, seeing that it confirms what had occurred to me (albeit, the EM is "cosmic" and not earth-based). Now I'm going to direct my energy towards preparing for that Wave :D

I did realize at some point that it would have made more sense to do that search in the first place. Guess I was being more impulsive than practical that day ;) Anyway, I trust that we all got something out of it...

From my perspective, it seems that the hum has gotten louder and/or stronger in some way in the past several weeks. It's always there, whether I'm inside or outside, day or night; but it's more apparent when other noises are minimized. Also, when I first discovered the C's answer, I assumed the hum was a benign element but, upon further reflection, it occurs to me that it could also be interpreted to be a malevolent force of some sort "in preparation" (eg.: 4D STS doing something with EM to further their agenda when the Wave arrives). So, I'm not getting too attached to it either way. I think Laura's advice here is apt:

How about just observing, listening, keeping a journal of the "hum" and seeing if other people hear it, journaling that, and just generally taking the approach of a natural scientist?

I have actually become aware of a humming now in calgary. The only reason i have noticed it , is because it switches frequencies. I can only hear it when i press my head to my pillow. I would have no idea, but it seems like low frequencies. On a side note. We have had a lot of fluoride put in our water since the eighties.

EDIT: I should say that they are more vibrational, it seems. Also, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I couldn't find anything with a search on the subject, but as with other times i am pretty sure that i have seen something about it before.
