Thank you; you gave me my laugh of the day!!
Hunter Biden is at the center of a federal investigation that, in particular, is looking into whether the 52-year-old violated US laws when he became embroiled in financial and business dealings in foreign countries during his father’s vice presidency between 2009 and 2017.
Hunter Biden was involved in a 2018 grain export agreement between Ukraine and China, the New York Post has revealed.
As proof of the transaction, the newspaper referred to a document found in the so-called “laptop from Hell” that the son of US President Joe Biden allegedly abandoned at a computer repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, in April 2019.
Hunter and seven other board members of Ukraine-based holding company Burisma signed the deal that authorized Vadym Pozharskyi, their adviser, to "represent with all Chinese Potential Shareholders for development, negotiation, and contracting issues as well as operation management of the project ‘Sino-Ukraine Silk Road Grain Port project,”, according to a Burisma resolution dated November 27, 2018.
The document shows that former CIA officer and Burisma board member Joseph Cofer Black was also named as one of the signees of the grain export deal, which stipulated Ukraine’s grain deliveries to China.
The New York Post pointed out that there were no other documents mentioning the “Sino Ukraine Silk Road Grain Port” project found in the laptop and that it was not “immediately clear if the grain was ever shipped.”
Hunter Biden Under Federal Probe
The newspaper’s revelation comes after CNN cited unnamed sources as saying last month that the federal probe into Hunter Biden had reached a “critical juncture” and investigators are weighing whether to charge the president's son.
The sources claimed that prosecutors are currently focused on tax- and gun-related charges against POTUS’ son.
The firearm charge relates to at least one false statement made by Hunter in his procurement of a weapon. It is believed Biden’s son should have been prohibited from purchasing a firearm due to his self-professed struggle with drug addiction.
The probe specifically looks into the contents of Hunter Biden's “laptop from Hell”, including compromising emails, naked photos and graphic videos that have been released since 2020, when the New York Post was the first to make public several emails from the device.
The laptop uncovered details about unseemly and potentially illegal activities by the president’s son, ranging from parties with prostitutes to “business deals” involving the trading of cash for access to the elder Biden during his tenure as Barack Obama’s vice president.
Joe Biden has repeatedly dismissed any knowledge of his son’s business activities, and most news outlets and social media companies successfully shielded him from the laptop’s revelations ahead of the 2020 presidential election campaign, when the laptop was dismissed as part of the “Russian disinformation operation.”
Earlier this year, the New York Times and The Washington Post made a U-turn, confirming that the laptop was authentic and that the damning information contained within was authentic.
Since leaving office last year, 188 candidates backed by the former president have won primaries, 14 have lost and two dropped out or were disqualified before Election Day
That is a phenomenal success rate!Donald Trump's image as GOP kingmaker was tarnished by several high-profile election losses earlier this year, but Tuesday's primaries in states like Arizona put the Republican shine back on the former president.
In what’s shaping up to be a clean sweep in Arizona, 11 of Trump’s 12 endorsed candidates won in primaries for U.S. Senate, secretary of state, Congress, state House and state Senate. (Trump’s pick for governor leads in a race that remains too close to call in the battleground state.)
All of those candidates have embraced Trump's false claims of a stolen 2020 election.
The Arizona wins were a sharp contrast to Georgia’s primaries in May, when most of Trump’s major candidates lost in the swing state as they tried to unseat a governor and secretary of state who had refused to aid in Trump's effort to overturn the 2020 election results.
While Arizona illustrated the strength of Trump's influence in the GOP, it wasn’t the only state primary to showcase his power on Tuesday. His preferred candidates dominated in Missouri and Kansas, as well as Michigan, where one of the 10 members of Congress who voted for his second impeachment was defeated by a Trump-backed challenger.
“Trump is still the 800-pound gorilla,” said Saul Anuzis, a former Michigan Republican Party chairman and GOP consultant. “He has significant influence.”
With just a handful of state primaries left, 188 Trump-endorsed candidates have won primaries during his post presidency, 14 have lost, two dropped out or were disqualified before their races, 26 await their primaries and two are in races that have yet to be called, according to his staff and statistics compiled by Ballotpedia.
One of the successful candidates is Blake Masters, a ('Trumpist') Republican nominee to become one of Arizona's senators for US Congress this November - a seat once held by John McCain. Check out this campaign ad of his:Trump padded his endorsement stats by backing many incumbents with minimal opposition, but his obsessive involvement in all of the races and the degree to which candidates have prostrated themselves for his support — as well as the difference it has made in some races like Ohio, Arizona and Michigan — makes him an outlier among former presidents.
Trump’s record also shows that, while he may be damaged by the multiple investigations focused on him, the former president appears most likely at this time to secure the GOP nominee for president should he run again in 2024.
But Trump’s endorsement isn’t so magical that it can elevate an unelectable candidate, nor are Republicans clamoring for Trump to run again; polls show him getting about half the hypothetical vote in a crowded Republican presidential primary, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis a distant second carrying about half the amount of support as Trump.
Arizona Republican consultant Sean Noble said it’s undeniable that “we’re in uncharted territory with a former president having this level of control over the party. It’s more of his party than anyone else. His endorsement obviously matters more than anyone else’s.”

Beijing will not succeed in blockading Taipei, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said amid renewed global tensions
Washington will not allow China to “isolate” Taiwan, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi has said, amid the flare-up of tensions in the region. China has staged a military drill around the Taiwanese coast in response to Pelosi’s visit to the self-governing island, which Beijing said was meddling in its domestic affairs.
“They may try to keep Taiwan from visiting or participating in other places but they will not isolate Taiwan,” Pelosi told reporters in Tokyo, Japan on Friday as she wrapped up her Asian tour.
“We will not allow them to isolate Taiwan,” she added, insisting that her trip was “not about changing the status quo” in the region.
Despite strong warnings and protests from Beijing, Pelosi visited Taiwan this week and met with the island’s politicians, becoming the highest-ranking US official to do so.
China considers Taiwan, which has been ruled by a separate government since the late 1940s, as its territory and opposes any forms of diplomatic recognition of the self-governing island as an independent country.
Beijing said that Pelosi’s visit has violated the decades-old ‘One China’ principle, under which the US refrained from formally recognizing Taiwan’s independence. In response to Pelosi’s trip, the Chinese military launched a snap live-fire drill, which Beijing’s state media described as a simulation of “a reunification-by-force operation.”
Yu Chian-chang, a senior official at the Taiwanese Defense Ministry, meanwhile, said the exercise was “tantamount to a naval and air blockade of Taiwan.”
On Friday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry summoned the envoys of Japan and European countries over what Beijing said was “wanton interference in China’s affairs.” The Group of Seven (G7) and the EU earlier released a statement condemning Beijing’s drill as “unnecessary escalation.”
I find these types of interviews insightful and I’ll give a little background of myself. I had initially a NROTC scholarship to be a Marine Officer, so I thought about that, the killing involved and then decided to switch that to the Navy and seek out the SEALs. So then I looked into that line of work, seriously and thought quite literally that I didn’t want to be a terrorist, kicking down doors in someone else’s country and scaring women and children…. So then as things happen I was able to join the Explosive Ordnance Disposal community which satisfied my moral dilemmas because I was removing bombs but also let me see what was happening in the Special Forces world of the SEALs, Army SF and a few of the higher organizations who target guys like Bin Laden. Those organizations are just machines, they don’t care about human life and even the “good” guys of those communities really haven’t expanded themselves and included all people of good will in their network. How can you if you don’t examine the rot in your own backyard? So many “decent” people have been subsumed by many lies and are now working for the Dark Side in deed but perhaps not totally in spirit.I'm Not A Terrorist: Mike Glover
Every once in a while, you come across an article that seems like one thing but is actually another thing entirely. The NPR story of how “The U.S. made a breakthrough battery discovery — then gave the technology to China“, is one such article.
.....
The issue surrounds a new product technology called a vanadium redox flow battery. Essentially the U.S. government funded scientists to develop an advanced battery that could store energy without degrading. After success, the technology was then sent to China for manufacturing. China then invested heavily in the product and used the technology to mass manufacture the battery for the global market. The United States is now behind in the product development and manufacture.

There is going to be much more to this story…. Much more.

Moments ago, Donald Trump - who is still banned by Twitter - published a statement on Truth Social in which he said that his Florida home, Mar A Lago is “currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents", an assault which according to Trump "could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries." He is probably right. He also claims the Fed's presence was unannounced and the reason was politically motivated.

I feel sick. Raiding the opposition party's leader's home... over some Trumped up allegations of what? Taking documents. How many lies have been told about Trump? It's all so tiresome. One step closer to the collapse of USA into totalitarianism.Red line crossed?
This was the breaking story on Tucker Carlson tonight who has a guest host this week. I only watched a few minutes as it's just too sickening to see the level of corruption playing out right under our noses.Red line crossed?
One of the reasons for the raid - Trump is too popular still and it's clear the Dems are going to be decimated in all upcoming elections. Trump has said as much. That is a phenomenal success rate!
I fully expect Trump will be declared either a domestic terrorist of put away in a mental institution as has been the MO of past totalitarian regimes.I'm Not A Terrorist: Mike Glover
