Bomb attacks in Brussels Airport and metro station

Just heard on the news that there were 2 explosion's at Brussels airport. I'm sure ther will be a lot more to follow as details are sketchy at the moment but the suggestion is a terrorist attack.

Reports are coming in that one of the explosions took place near the American Airlines check-in desk. A government source confirmed to VRT broadcaster that it was an attack, while Anke Fransen, spokeswoman for Brussels Airport, said there were multiple injuries. "We can confirm that there have been two explosions in the departure hall. We called the emergency services on the ground – they [are] now provid[ing] first aid to the injured."

More Explosive Devices Reportedly Found in Brussels Airport

According to the fire department reports, more explosive devices may be located in the airport.

All entrances to the Brussels airport have been closed until further notice following the explosions, according to Zaventem press-revice.

According to the reports, another "suspicious package" was found in the airport.

The explosion occurred shortly after twin esplosion occured in the Zaventem airport in Brussels.​

All the underground stations are closed and the train for Bruxelles airport.

All the Belgium airports are at the maximum alert level.

According to RT there are at least 10 fatalities at the Maalbeek metro station. https://www.rt.com/news/336536-brussels-metro-bombing-maalbek/

The Maalbeek station is also near a number of important EU buildings such as Berlaymont building, which houses the EU Commission and the Council of the European Union.

All the public transports are now closed in Brussels and people in Belgium are invited to stay where they are (at work, at home, at school), not to move.

According to the federal prosecution there are 13 dead.

So, there were two blasts at Brussels airport (17 dead now according to RT) and about an hour later there were two explosions at the metro stations near EU offices in Brussels. Geez.

All this also reminds me the movie Brazil, when terrorists attacks are routine events. (Also in 1984 by Orwell). A state of constant suspicion. Constant fear. In French we say: "monnaie courante".

I am so sorry for all of this.

I don’t know that there’s even a need now for anything like that. My speculation / impression of it is that some of these people are so thoroughly programmed that parts of the system function autonomously (yet predictably). So, Salah Abdeslam is arrested and that is the trigger for them to go do something like this in "retaliation" (or so they think).

At higher levels there is more to it, but I get the impression that at the 'soldier' level it’s programming at work, and that that needs no input / planning other than creating the conditions of general chaos to make the programs run effectively to create this kind of horror.
