What he did during all those years in Gaul, one can't really know. He did SO MUCH that there wasn't much time for messing around, that's for sure. Can't have any kids of Caesar's running around, doncha know? So if there were others, they kept it to themselves.

What's interesting to me (but it probably doesn't matter), is that a lot of great men seem to have been involved in lots of dalliance. G, JC, Martin Luther King, JFK and I wouldn't be surprised if Putin did have a lot of girls on the side. But at the same time, except for JFK and Putin for who I'm not sure, JC, G and Martin Luther King were all quite lonely men. Considering the hurdles Putin has to face and the one JFK had to overcome, both may have felt a sense of loneliness/helplessness. I wonder if the former has a link with the latter. Or maybe, the universe simply wanted them to reproduce a lot :P

I think it is as simple as that for being involved in lots of dalliances with lots of ladies, one has to be someone many ladies want to be in dalliances with. Most ladies prefer to be in dalliances with honourable strong charismatic men that do admirable things, so they will jump right on such men if having the chance. So it is not that such men are necessarily womanizers, but more that many if not most ladies are "honourable-charismatic-strong-brilliant- manizers"
