Thanks, It's possible the projectile missed major structures and the posturing was only temporary. Been to a few neck/brain injuries in my time including one who was temporarily a quadriplegic for several hours prior to discovery after coming off his motorbike. As we rolled him onto the spine board and removed his helmet his entire body regained full feeling. Been to several horse riding accidents where similar things happen to an injured neck. Temporary and localized paralysis, phantom pain etc. I've also seen the clenched fists caused by cardiac arrests, oxygen starvation and hypoglycemia, the latter resolving after a little glucose was received. Once went to a guy who suffered a massive cardiac arrest, lying flat on his back, hands tightly clenched, and arms splayed like CK's; 3 days after the event. There's a few variables that don't involve the spine or neck.
