Why sphere special? Why solar system spherical, why sun spherical and also all stars and planets also spherical?

In water column we observe single bubble of air slowly rising to surface. We can see it change shape little, but it is spherical. Why bubble spherical? It is same. When there is balance in pressure and difference in density, at that time, spherical shape is naturally formed. Why rising? If medium where bubble rising would continuously change density with depth, at that time, the bubble would find depth where density also in balance. Then it would hover in that depth. Even if poking it, it will return to balance. But in reality no such medium with infinite change in density. We observe different mediums with different density if change in density big. We have air, and water. Each different. There are natural boundary between density. Here it is water surface. Bubble naturally find balance on this boundary, because its density in between. We too observe transverse waves on the boundary waving like blanket. In infinite medium of same density, no up, or down, left or right, no perpendicular. At that time, no transverse waves, only longitudinal.
 
When taking two dissimilar conductive materials and connecting them together, current flows, like in battery. If current flow is continuous, after some time, the battery is ended in balanced state and current stops.

In weather, we observe low pressure region and high pressure region. The two are part of the atmosphere and are always in contact, not isolated. As soon as they arise, there is transfer of air from the high pressure region toward low pressure region. It is perceived as wind. The bigger the pressure difference the stronger wind. Until balance is created and pressure equal. Just like the atmosphere is kept in balance, so is everything else. Balance is universal principle and universe is kept in dynamic balance.

If we inflate beach-ball and seal it, then even though there is high pressure inside, it is stable, because it is isolated from outside. There is balance in an imbalance. As soon as we poke hole in the ball, the isolation boundary is violated and now the outer pressure and inner pressure are in contact and air escapes until the ball deflated.

Solar system, same. There is boundary around solar system that keeps separate the inner region from outer, so they are not in contact. This allow the solar system to have different density than outer space. But the boundary is not impenetrable. If there is outside influence and the boundary is violated, at that time, current temporarily flows and causes instability. This instability is directly observable at the sun. After all it is sun that has strength to keep the boundary in place and is in intimate contact with it. If density inside is smaller, then flow is from outside to inside, trying to restore balance. This is very stressful for sun. Fortunately the boundary is self-healing. That means that when the cause, that created opening in boundary, is removed, the opening again closes, and the boundary is again intact and no current flows. Stable operation is again restored. The bigger the opening, the bigger current flow, the larger deviation from stable condition.
 
There are only two ways how energy can be stored. First is stored as deformation, second stored as motion. There are no other ways. It is obvious that there needs to be something, which allows for the energy to be stored. Energy cannot be stored in nothingness. In mechanics, we can store energy in deformable bodies, which have mass, or inertia. In hydrodynamics, we can store energy in compressible fluid, which again has inertia. But where is the energy stored when we talk about electrics and magetics? Obviously there needs to be some kind of medium, preferably with elastic and inertial properties.

If there is such medium, then it is universal, connecting everything that exists in the universe, permeating everything, because everything is made of this medium. We observe situations that we cannot explain. We observe rei-ki, homeopathy, we observe bees and birds and also fish being aware of some medium, they use it for communication or navigation, and we observe magnets and electrets. All of this makes no sense without admitting the existence of some kind of medium, that is present everywhere. If we talk about electrics and magnetics then we are literally talking about mechanical energy, or elastic and kinetic energy, that is stored in this medium. All principles valid in mechanics are also valid in electrics and magnetics. If everything is made of this medium, then it makes sense, that what we observe in various branches of physics, is just reflection of universal principles, that govern the behavior of everything. Instead of dividing, everything can be united assuming the medium as the source of everything we observe, at least in our reality. In this context electrics and magnetics is just study of how we interact with the medium.

It can be said that the universal medium is a link between consciousness and matter. For what is matter if not energy organized in intelligently designed pattern. In this way the universe can provide everything and if we would have knowledge and necessary skills, there would be lack of nothing. Even if people would be aware of this, there would be instant shift in reality. We are slaves only because of our ignorance. Learning more about how we can meaningfully interact with this medium can only aid our progress.

What are the properties of the universal medium? If we can store elastic energy, it is compressible. If we can store kinetic energy, it is fluid. We can also store information in the medium, similar how we store information on hard drive. If we compare these properties to anything that we know, then the first thing that springs to mind is water. Water has some interesting properties. It can be charged by light, it can store energy, it can store information in the form of crystalline patterns, yet it is fluid. Its behavior is that of fluid crystal, and we know it gives life to everything, at least on our planet. These properties make it a mirror, or extension, of the universal medium, which gives life to everything through light.

If we are talking about waves in this medium related to this density only, then we are talking about sound waves. The nature of the waves is same as sound wave propagating in any medium, where regions of rarefaction of the medium are followed by regions of compression of given medium. The speed of propagation is called speed of light, but this is misleading as it is sound, or pressure waves, that are really propagating. The propagation speed is depending only on the elastic and inertial properties of the medium and is completely independent on the velocity of the source, and on the velocity of the observer, as it is always related to absolute space of the universe.

There are only two ways ho to achieve balance. There is static balance and dynamic balance. Static balance means that system is in equilibrium position at rest. For example a swing at rest. If the universe would be in static balance, that would mean no motion and no life. If we push the swing from equilibrium position, then if we would want to maintain that position, it requires constant input of energy. This represents state of static imbalance, that requires constant effort to keep this state.

If we let go of the swing, it starts to swing back and forth. This is the most natural way how to keep everything in state of balance, called dynamic balance. For examaple if we displace the swing in positive direction, toward us, and let go, then it will swing in the negative direction, beyond the balancing point, which is where the swing is at rest. Therefore one can say that to keep something in a state of dynamic balance, it has to cycle around some equilibrium point, or balancing point, and half of the time it is in positive phase, and the other half it is in negative phase. There are two forces acting on the swing, balancing force, that is in this case that of gravity, and imbalancing force, that is in this case inertia. These two forces can maintain dynamic balance indefinitely.

If we would input energy into universal medium and create matter, then it requires certain amount of energy, to create an imbalance in this medium. If there would be no dynamic balancing, then the matter would dissolve back into equilibrium as soon as the energy flow is removed. In that case matter would be unstable. For matter to be stable, the energy in the state of matter, swings through equilibrium, into another state, that is opposite to matter. Then it swings back into the matter state. What really oscillates is the universal medium that connects everything together.

It is obvious that, in this case, the amount of matter is always equal to the amount of antimatter, because as soon matter is created, antimatter is created also. But then it would mean, that we can see matter only half of the time, because the other half, the energy is in the phase of antimatter. It is now possible to define time unit. Time unit is equal to the duration of one cycle for the energy to go from matter state to antimatter state and back.

Now it becomes obvious how subjective and deceptive our perception of time is. If someone from other planet would visit us and we would ask how many years they live, they would say many hundred years. But year for us is completely different to year for them. The correct definition of year is one revolution of our planet around the sun for us, and it is one revolution of their planet around their star for them. We can be aware of this and the next question would be, how long is one year for them. But this question is not answerable because anything they would say, using some time units, is subjective.
In SI units the unit of time is one second. It is number of oscillations of cesium per second. It follows, that one second is defined either by itself, or by some arbitrarily chosen number and we take it to be constant. In universe nothing is constant, everything is ever changing and therefore no matter how you define the time unit it is subjective.

Better way to define time is to substitute it by space. Because cycles are real, as it is really progress that matters. Therefore objective time can only be based on geometry of a cycle, or circle, when one time unit is one full cycle. Such time unit is always defined relative to absolute time of the universe, that is one cycle of the universe.

All of our experience is tied to this planet. We have zero experience with space travel. Therefore it is hard to understand. Even if we would construct very accurate clock and take it to a spaceship thinking that the clock shows time on our planet, it would only be an illusion. As soon as we leave solar system, everything starts to work differently. One day could be thousand years. All the constants in physics are not really constants. Therefore the clock would show time, which would not only be incorrect but also deceptive, as we would not perceive any change if we are part of that change. In space we would be completely lost.
 
If we take empty bottle, preferably of cylindrical shape, fill it with water and flip it upside down, we observe how slow the water flows out of the bottle. As soon as a little bit of water escapes from the bottle, everything pauses and the bottle has to breathe in a bubble of air. Once the bubble unites with the air in the bottle, everything repeats. There are two forces fighting each other. There is inertia of the water accelerated by gravity, or weight of the water, which is pointing down and there is elastic force, or deformation, of the air in the bottle which is pointing up in this case. As the water tries to escape, the air in the bottle is stretched, because its volume is forcefully increased by the water, and becomes negatively charged, meaning the pressure of the air drops below the atmospheric pressure surrounding the bottle, and the air now acts as a spring that prevents the water from escaping. The water is now being pulled up by the air in the bottle and also pulled down by gravity, so it is under tension. At that time the bubble of air enters into the bottle, because water, being liquid, cannot support tension. That is why fluids can be poured, because they can be easily split even into droplets. That is why fluids are fluids, they cannot be stretched without restricting their flow. Once the bubble of air reaches the air pocket in the bottle, the pressure difference is relieved and again a little bit of water escapes, because the force due to weight is dominant. And the entire process repeats. There are two opposite forces, which, because of the need for balance, take turns based on which one is stronger. There are also two flows. Flow of water, which is downward, and counter-flow of air, which is upward. Air can be seen as lack of water, therefore their flow have to be opposite. But the volumes exchanged are the same. And the water is very slow to escape from the bottle because the process is discontinuous, that is, in turns, and the swings in the forces are large and therefore create large imbalance, before one or the other force becomes stronger and again restores balance, albeit only temporarily.

We can make the water flow much quicker, if we again fill the bottle with water, approximately to three quarters, so there is enough air in the bottle where the water can be displaced to the sides, but now as soon as we flip it upside down, we shake it horizontally. We can also add a bit of circular motion in horizontal plane to the shaking. If we do it with enough strength, then we can observe a vortex being created in the water, as the water is flowing out of the bottle. After the vortex is created we can hold the bottle still, because the flow is self-sustaining, and we can observe it. Now the water flows much faster compared to the previous case. Once the water starts to rotate, the inertia of the water creates centrifugal forces acting on the water which will push the water outward, or onto the sides of the bottle. At that time a water vacuum is created in the center of the bottle, where the air can flow freely in direction opposite to the water flow. We observe separation of water flow and air counter-flow, but this time they are continuous. There is still dynamic balance, but the swings in the two forces, one being inertial, which is centrifugal and the other being elastic, which is centripetal, are very small, almost nonexistent. We can observe pulsing in the vortex structure. The vortex structure changes the direction of the balancing forces. Whereas the forces in the first case were in direction parallel to the flow, thus inhibiting the flow, the forces in the second case are more perpendicular to the flow.

We can do the same with current. We take an U-shaped bar made of soft iron, and a square bar that fits across the prongs. If soft iron is not available, mild steel is good. The square bar should fit good on the prongs so that there is no gap. The size is not important, but the bigger, the more powerful effect. Then we take insulated wire and wind at least couple hundred turns along the length of the U-shaped bar. The more turns the better. The gauge of the wire is not important, but the thicker the wire, the more current it can pass and the more powerful effect. After assembling everything we can observe if the U-shape bar performs like an electromagnet, by placing the square bar an inch apart from the prongs, and passing current through the wire. If the bar snaps to the prongs, then everything works as intended. We can feel how much effort it takes to pull off the bar from the prongs while the electromagnet is energized. But the main point is to show that even after disconnecting the wire from the battery, or power supply, the bar is still attached firmly to the prongs and it takes considerable effort to separate it. We might think that maybe we created permanent magnet by magnetizing the U-shaped bar, but this is not the case, because after separating the square bar apart from the prongs, the bar won't stick to it anymore without again passing current through the wire.

To do this, we put the square bar on the prongs and pass current through the wire for a couple of seconds and then disconnect it. At that time, the square bar is firmly attached to the prongs, even though there is no current in the wire. But there is current in the bars, which now form closed circuit and the current holds the bars together. If we did the experiment with the water bottle, we can explain what happened. By wrapping the wire around the U-shape bar and passing current through the wire, we created the same vortex structure as we did in the water. In the case of the water bottle we had to shake it in circular pattern to create the vortex, but here because the wire is wrapped in circular, or spiral pattern, the current passing through the wire does all the work for us. In this case the vortex is created in the universal medium, which has properties similar to water. Because the current now flows in spiral pattern inside the bars, the flow is enhanced and there is no loss at all.
The mechanism is the same as in the water. There are again two balancing forces, one inertial, trying to separate everything, creating imbalance, pointing away from the center, and the other is elastic, trying to unite everything, creating balance, pointing toward the center. Once the rotation of the medium is achieved, the flow is expanding, and slowing down, due to inertial forces. At that time, vacuum is created in the center of the bars, and the vacuum is now pulling the flow toward the center, and also accelerating the flow. Because of acceleration, the inertial forces gain strength and again expand the flow, creating vacuum, and this repeats in infinite cycle. There is pulsing circulating kinetic, or inertial field, and due to this field also pulsing elastic field. The bars are really held together because of the vacuum. The circulating inertial field just creates the vacuum.

We might ask why does it help to have spiral flow. In the case of the water bottle, there were two flows, that were competing against each other, and by creating the vortex, they were separated and therefore enhancing the flow. But here, there is only universal medium and nothing else. But if that were so, then the flow would not be impeded even in ordinary wire, because there would be acting nothing against the flow. We might thing that it is the electrons, bumping into the matter, that creates losses. But the same material is present, no matter what kind of flow we observe, and electrons being very big and massive have nothing to do with this flow. The universal medium can flow easily through matter, whereas the electrons can't.

One possible explanation, supported by observation, is that the universal medium is composed of two types of universal particles, that have opposite properties. They are the smallest particles that exist, and everything is made of these particles. Therefore, there are two flows associated with these particles flowing against each other, and by creating the spiral flow, the flows are much better separated and therefore the flow is unimpeded. It can be shown that the circulating current is present even after months, and years, after the device was energized only for couple of seconds, and it takes the same effort to separate the two bars, as on the first day. Once the circulating current is created, it will flow indefinitely.

Whenever there is disturbance in the universal medium, waves are created as a means to maintain natural progress toward balance. As soon as matter is created, again, waves are created as all matter is in dynamic balance. Any particle that oscillates and creates waves in universal medium, is a source.

We observe single source that is in dynamic balance. It is positive half of the time and negative the other half. At that time it creates waves that have peaks and troughs. These waves naturally progress away from the source and are decaying in intensity as they encompass more and more space. If we have one source, it creates circular waves. But if we have two and more sources, then the individual circular waves interact and create rays of light, which can propagate much further without much attenuation. The number of rays is always equal to the number of half wave-lengths between the sources and it is only limited by the fineness of the universal medium.

Two sources that have the same frequency of vibration are always attracted. In this case the pattern is symmetric and the rays are straight lines. Sources that have different vibrational frequency will always repel. This is accomodated by nonsymmetrical pattern that suggests state of willingness to move. But when it comes to vibratory pattern then the opposite is true. Vibratory patterns that are complementary are attracted and patterns that are the same, are repelled. This is how the balancing works, as everything flows toward balance. If uniting two sources increases balance, the sources will be united and if separating two sources increase balance they will be separated. For example if there are two sources of the same vibratory frequency and of complementary vibratory pattern, then they will always move toward each other no matter how far away, until they eventually meet and once they are together they form balance and the result is symmetrical pattern, or rays of light. This is true for everything.

These are simple universal principles valid for everything. Any force can be explained as a result of how the waves naturally interact.

All the interactions that we call fields are simply interactions of waves. If we put two sources together and they create waves in universal medium, they interact and form attractive or repulsive forces.
Given that enough sources are present, any field can be created, whether it is elastic or kinetic. By utilizing the knowledge it is possible to improve quality of life in every aspect.

One source cannot do much, but many sources, that are in sync, can create powerful effect.

Anyway I made a sample orbit just to see what it might look like (Fig. 64). I tried to make some compromise between the two. The perihelion distance was unknown so I have chosen some close to 50 AU. Also I assume that the companion is not yet at perihelion but might be there in near future (This actually neatly followed when trying to align the November peak and the summer activity).

So we can observe several things. The peak in November would have to be caused back in 1978 when the companion was approximately 65 AU away. In 1998 it would be about to exit Scorpio constellation or it would be entering Ophiuchus constellation. Today in 2015 it would be near the plane of eclitpic slightly to the right of the Pluto dwarf planet. The distance would be 50 AU but this depends on the perihelion distance. The Earth would be aligned with the Sun and companion at the end of June.

The perihelion would be somewhere around 2025. There is some uncertainty because the argument of the perihelion is not exactly known. I would say more like 2025-2030.
Firstly, thanks tohuwabohu for the super-effort in putting this thread together. It's taken me some time to follow the line of discussion, but I think you are on track with your calculations. The 56%/3% mass problem I think can be resolved by the C's indicating a larger mass to give the approximately correct orbital period when basic calculations were done then, when Ark did some more advanced calculations later and he used a mass figure more appropriate to the properties of a brown dwarf star, at that stage the C's then gave the more accurate figure in accordance with those calculations. So, I think the actual mass is likely to be closer to the 3% figure as stated.

As you've noted, this does bring a significant number of additional problems into the model but you've accounted for them very well using more complete solar system dynamics that factor in the planets and a distributed mass for the Oort cloud. I think the 3D model using Newtonian mechanics gets us to within a close range of error even without the Electric Universe component and the correlation of the lensing effect with AMS observational data is a strong point in favour of the existing line of modelling.

It would be nice to refine the model further now that we are in 2025 and the computational power at our disposal has significantly increased, however perhaps it is the responsibility of others of us to expand on your work further.

In this respect, the estimate of a 2025-2030 perihelion is now of more immediate relevance and if I'm correct in my evaluation of your model, the companion star is likely to be visible somewhere in the area of the constellations Gemini or Cancer.

Nevertheless as I observed the orbit it remainded me of prof. Zharkova results about the solar cycles and how combining two wave generators can accurately predict the behavior of the Sun.


And what occured to me is what if the second generator is the companion. If the two stars are connected they should interact. This would be tied to changes in magnetic field on Earth and eclipsing of realities.
What she predicts is more like changes in gravity.
Expanding on pure Newtonian mechanics, the above adds a whole new dimension to the model and suggests as we move into the June-July months there could be plenty of electrical phenomena to observe. The unusual solar storms and auroras already observed in 2024 and 2025 seems to add weight to this case. And one recent news item that may be related:


Very interesting research that presents additional evidence for a large companion to the Sun. I wonder why the WISE infrared survey did not detect it though, they ruled out any large objects (like a brown dwarf) in the vicinity of the Sun.
This question was what actually got me to finish reading this thread. I'll start by collating previous responses:

Indeed, Libra is not exactly in the Galactic plane, however it is certainly within 15 degrees of the Galactic plane. Thus, if Nemesis is indeed there, it would have been missed by the WISE map.

As to WISE 1541-2250, and possible effects of the orbital motion on the distance determination, separating out trigonometric parallax from proper motion is pretty straightforward so I doubt the astronomers involved got that wrong. My guess is that their distance to the star is quite accurate.
Well, the WISE survey did find three brown dwarves in Libra:

That list may also be a good place to check whether WISE discovered any brown dwarves that were directly in the Galactic plane. I have no idea how to do that, since the Solar plane (ecliptic) is tilted towards the Galactic plane and the data on that list refers to the "celestial plane" of the tilted Earth.
According to Stellarium, the constellation Gemini sits up to 30ºN of the galactic equator. The yellow line is the Galactic Equator, the orange line the Ecliptic:

At the time of the WISE survey, if Nemesis was closer to the galactic plane, it may have been missed. However, there's also a good chance that if it were spotted, the data could have been suppressed. According to Grok, the closest brown dwarf discovered near to Gemini was in the constellation Hydra:

WISE J085510.83–071442.5 (Hydra) is a Y2 or later dwarf with a temperature of 225–260 K, exhibiting strong methane and water absorption, and is the coldest known brown dwarf. Its W1–W2 color is very red (>0.5 mag), and its luminosity is extremely low (~10⁻⁷ L☉).
J085510.83 sits at approximately 23º 20' N of the galactic plane. While the extra arc angle does give it distance from the luminosity of the galaxy 'below', thus making it more visible, it does show the ability of WISE to observe very cold and dim objects. That being said, the majority of the Gemini constellation is below 20º N from the GE. So if the sun's companion was in that region of Gemini at the time of the survey, it could have been missed, or rendered invisible to WISE's instrumentation by the light of the galactic plane. Considering the lack of data, I'm inclined to give the benefit of the doubt, although it's highly likely that more recent observations have been suppressed, as per session 10th December 2022.

It would be very interesting to survey the Gemini-Cancer constellations again with similar instrumentation and see if another brown dwarf with similar spectral properties to J085510.83 is observable, osit.
 
I think this thread is valuable, as it is example of application of knowledge, the result of which is that we have better idea of what is in front of us and what to expect in terms of planetary changes. I think there is nothing wrong with the simulation itself, it uses energy preserving adaptive time stepping scheme that can accurately resolve even close encounters and planetary impacts, which is very impressive. As such it behaves as expected and can accurately predict behavior of celestial bodies when interacting together.

Every simulation needs some kind of input data or reference point from which it can make prediction. In this simulation the most crucial is the knowledge of accurate distribution of the objects in the Oort cloud, based on which the results of the simulation can be compared to real observations. This attempt was made in Fig. 32 and Fig. 33, but because such measurements are not publicly available, the distribution is unknown and only a guess can be made. That leads to some arm twisting when trying to correlate the simulation and observation. As such, the prediction for the companion perihelion to be in year 2025 to 2030 is not plausible. This is also supported by atomistic models and theory of electricity. If any improvement to the model could be made, it is in the inputs for the simulation, which were largely unknown when the simulation was made.

If we look at our solar system from distance, it is comparable to a single hydrogen atom. In the center is a singularity, or window through which the universal energy flows, from our universe, to other universes. This is the sun in our system and a proton in hydrogen atom. These two also act as an aperture responsible for distribution of energy into the inner system, which is heliosphere or nucleus in the case of an atom. Then there must be the presence of gyroscopic regulator, which regulates the inflow of the energy, or the size of the aperture. In the solar system this are the planets. In the atom it is unknown, yet without any regulation, the nucleus would be unstable, therefore it is yet to be discovered. And finally, we have the companion star, which is the electron in an atom. The electron is responsible for balancing the charge of the nucleus, so that the energy density in the inner system is stable. If we assume opposite attractive forces, then the electron regulates the size of the nucleus in the same way the companion star regulates the size of heliosphere by gently pulling on it. For all we know, the star system, as well as atom, can be governed by the same universal principles, the only difference being the scale of the phenomena.

In a hydrogen atom, which is perfectly balanced, the electron orbits the nucleus in circular orbit and exerts almost constant force on the nucleus with minimal fluctuations. It is also probable, that there is flowing almost constant grounding current between the nucleus and the electron, which is more like leakage current in a capacitor. It is obvious, that in an atom, which is balanced and stable, the electron never touches the nucleus, because there is no need for such extreme measures. The balance is maintained by slight adjustments in the system, like for example slight changes in the electron orbit.

If we now place the hydrogen atom in a polarized electric field, we can observe that the electron orbit becomes elliptic. Due to the opposite attractive forces, the proton is attracted toward the negative part of the field, and the electron toward the positive part of the field. The stronger the field, the more elongation we can observe in the electron orbit and the more imbalanced the atom gets. At some point, when the imbalance is extreme, the electron naturally starts to come into contact with the nucleus, in order to restore the imbalance in the nucleus. This of course is not a gentle process anymore. The imbalance that was accumulating for long periods of time when the electron was far away from the nucleus has now to be balanced in short period of time while the electron is in contact with the nucleus. And coincidentally this is what is about to happen in solar system.

We already observe slight changes in magnetic field of Earth, changes in atmosphere and increased flux of bodies from outer space which all point to the fact that the companion star is near the heliosphere and there is already a leakage current which is still very small. Until the compaion doesn't make contact with the heliosphere, we experience relative stability. That the imbalance in our system is extreme, is evidenced not only by high eccentricity in the companion orbit, but also by presence of outer panets that are not part of the inner system. Normally all planets should be inside the heliosphere. As of now the outer extrasolar planets lack proper magnetic field and atmosphere. As such they are simply rocks floating in outer space.

The years between 2025 and 2030 are probably very good estimate for the first contact between the companion star and the heliosphere. And we have good idea what happens, and therefore we also know that it did not happen yet. After the first contact it can take years, or decades, for the companion to reach perihelion. I think plausible estimate on this is presented in Fig. 23, where a good correlation is seen between two samples.

If we assume that the companion star is charged negatively from all the wandering in deep space, and the heliosphere is charged positively, then from the theory of electricity we know what happens, when negatively charged body approaches positively charged body. First there is only slight current flowing. The current is so small that no ionization occurs and therefore no glow is present. It is called dark discharge. Reducing the distance between the bodies, the current increases. It is still small, but now it has enough energy to cause slight glow. This type of discharge is called corona discharge. It can glow faintly and it is definitely visible. Reducing the distance now very slowly we can see that the glow increases until the ionization is critical and a very violent arc discharge occurs, where the current flowing can be in millions of amperes. Lightning is an example of arc discharge. After the arc discharge occurs, the charge in one of the bodies, which was smaller or weaker in charge, is neutralized.

Given that the most powerful discharge we experience in our life on this planet is lightning, it is for us yet unimaginable what a discharge between two stars can look like. But based on our experience with lightning, we can safely assume that it will not only be visible, but we will know about it, because the shock from the discharge will reverberate through the entire solar system. From that point on the changes in our environment will be significant and we will probably witness many before unseen phenomena as the balance is gradually restored. The discharge can even be so powerful, that it can contribute to the ignition of the companion star, the other factor being the magnetic field induced by the sun. The star will simply be not only neutralized by the sun but polarized positively and it will start to burn just like sun. A possibility is clearly present, that temporarily, we will have two suns. And if that happens, then it will be visible most probably even during day.

Then as the companion approaches perihelion, we can expect barrage of meteors and once the companion star exits heliosphere it dies out, because it doesn't have gyroscopic regulation and everything seemingly returns back to normal. The survivors will start to rebuild the civilization, only to be destroyed by the destabilized tail from Oort cloud and the cycle begins anew.
I think that the perihelion point is just a reference point, but the major changes start when the companion star contacts the heliosphere. The sun is very sensitive to any changes in the heliosphere and we can expect big CME as a response. Then changes in solar activity and weather changes and that is where the struggle begins. I mean, the Earth will basically revert to state it was 28 million years ago.

I think that even if we would know the position and distance of the companion, nothing would change. We still have time of relative stability to learn and prepare ourselves for what is coming and to make some progress. And because of variability of time and consciousness we simply cannot make prediction on how much time we have left. And we don't even need to know. If we view the universe as loving parent, then everything happens when it is supposed to happen, in our case simply when we are prepared as such, it is tied to the consciousness of humanity.
