Gamechanger? Seriously? In which game? That one with all cards marked - them vs humanity? BTW, I thought the vaccines were supposed to be the gamechanger. Facepalm.

UK becomes first country to approve 'game-changing' COVID-19 pill that can be taken at home
Health Secretary Sajid Javid calls it a "historic day for our country" and a "gamechanger for the most vulnerable and the immunosuppressed".

The UK has become the first country to approve a "game-changing" anti-viral pill that can be taken at home to treat COVID-19.

Molnupiravir can be taken by those who have tested positive and have at least one risk factor for developing severe illness, such as obesity, being over 60, diabetes or heart disease.

After promising trial results, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has said it is safe and effective at reducing the risk of hospital admission and death in people with mild to moderate COVID who are at extra risk from the virus.

Infections rise in every region but one; Police officer dies after six weeks in hospital - coronavirus latest

Developed by Ridgeback Biotherapeutics and Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), the drug works by interfering with the virus's replication.

It inhibits COVID-19 from multiplying, keeping levels low in the body and ultimately reducing the severity of the disease.

The drug should be taken as soon as possible following a positive test and within the first five days, the MHRA advises.

Last month, the government announced it had secured 480,000 courses of molnupiravir after a study showed it reduced the rate of hospital admissions and deaths by 50% in patients with mild to moderate symptoms.

The tablet was given twice a day to recently diagnosed patients, and the trial results made it one of the most promising drug developments of the pandemic so far.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid said: "Today is a historic day for our country, as the UK is now the first country in the world to approve an anti-viral that can be taken at home for COVID-19.

"This will be a gamechanger for the most vulnerable and the immunosuppressed, who will soon be able to receive the ground-breaking treatment."

He added: "We are working at pace across the government and with the NHS to set out plans to deploy molnupiravir to patients through a national study as soon as possible."

Dr June Raine, MHRA chief executive, said the body is "satisfied" with molnupiravir being declared safe and effective for those at risk of developing severe COVID-19 disease and has granted its approval.

"Lagevrio (molnupiravir) is another therapeutic to add to our armoury against COVID-19," she said.

ANALYSIS BY LAURA BUNDOCK, HEALTH CORRESPONDENT
The approval of this pill could be a significant moment.

It’s easy to take and can be done at home.

If the findings of the trial are right, it could dramatically cut the number of people with covid who end up in hospital.

As we head into a challenging winter this could really help pressure on the NHS.

There are though some unanswered questions. We don’t yet know when and how the drug will be given to patients.

The UK has already bought 480 thousand courses, but with daily infection numbers currently over 30 thousand, how long will it take before that supply runs out?

Another issue is cost. We don’t know how much the government has paid for the drug, but it is expensive, and many lower-income countries might not be able to afford its steep price tag.

"It is also the world's first approved anti-viral for this disease that can be taken by mouth rather than administered intravenously.

"This is important, because it means it can be administered outside of a hospital setting, before COVID-19 has progressed to a severe stage."

Oh boy...
I´m so sorry for all those people who will either loose their jobs or be forced to get the job.... :(

The Biden administration's deadline for compliance is January 4, 2022. All workers covered by these requirements must have their final vaccination by that date. The rules cover "employers with 100 or more employees, firm or company wide, and provides options for compliance to protect their workers."

Dec 8th for federal contractors, Jan 4th for everyone else. No accident it's in the middle of winter; no doubt a calculation was made that cold weather tends to keep people indoors, making them less likely to take to the streets in protest ... while at the same time, no one wants to lose their job during the Christmas season ... and winter is itself the unkindest season in which to have to find work.

Dark winter, indeed.

Well, Well!

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Sunday that she had tested positive for COVID-19, days after pulling out of the president's overseas trip due to a family emergency. Psaki is vaccinated, and said she is only experiencing mild symptoms.

Psaki said in a statement on Sunday that emergency was "members of my household testing positive for COVID-19."

"Since then, I have quarantined and tested negative (via PCR) for COVID on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday," Psaki said. "However, today, I tested positive for COVID. While I have not had close contact in person with the president or senior members of the White House staff since Wednesday — and tested negative for four days after that last contact — I am disclosing today's positive test out of an abundance of transparency. I last saw the president on Tuesday, when we sat outside more than six feet apart, and wore masks."

Unvaccinated employees must undergo mandatory testing at least three times per week at government expense, or they will be suspended without pay, Dubé says.

Germany has some bizarre politician that might be the next health minister.
The guy knows exactly what words he is using if he's that high up in the political pyramid.

Living in germany I can tell you that that guy is totally off the hooks. Since the Corona hysteria started he became well know for his radical ideas for "combating" the Virus. To this day he is pushing the most extreme ideas and is now seriously considered a good candidate to become the next health minister of germany "because of his good deeds" during Corona. It's about the worst thing that could happen to germany, actually:

New research published in the Viruses edition of MDPI ("SARS-CoV-2 Host Cell Interactions") reveals that vaccine spike proteins enter cell nuclei, suppressing DNA repair by 90%....people exposed to 5G radiation, mammogram exams, food additives, chemicals in body lotions, etc. will be unable to repair the minor DNA damage these typically cause, resulting in cell mutations that can cause cancer.

How to Guard Against the Spike Protein Contagion Caused By The Covid Vaccinated

by Dr. Judy Mikovits

POSSIBLE ANTIDOTE FOR THE V-SERUM AND THE CURRENT SPIKE PROTEIN CONTAGION

This antidote to the contagion, that has been known of by the upper levels of the medical establishment and insiders of the elitist class for almost 100 years, is called Suramin, an isolated compound originally derived from an extract of pine needle oil.

It is only available by injection, and has been a closely guarded secret not made openly available to the masses during this “pandemic”, yet is an effective solution for parasites and viruses of several kinds, along with a large number of other conditions.

Yet anyone can now take advantage of this solution by tapping its root origin, pine needle tea, an antidote that is freely available today in evergreen forests and in many people’s backyards.

At today's Senate Health Committee hearing, Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) asked CDC Director Rochelle Walensky about her department's vaccination rates.

CDC director is definitely on the hot seat. The initial questioning centers around the lack of studies (zero) dealing with natural immunity to Covid. Then at the 4:01 mark is when he asks about % of employees at DCD who are vaccinated. She does everything in her power to not answer the questions directly- surprise! Got to give the Senator credit, he knew when she was BS-ing.
