Coronavirus Pandemic: Apocalypse Now! Or exaggerated scare story?

My wife and I were talking about this last night. Not only have we seen websites 'turn' to accept the official narrative, but many of our friends as well. I think people are afraid of being a labeled a "science denier" as online attacks are happening more and more as this so called pandemic carries on.

We have literally nobody to speak openly about it anymore. Our friends, who we believed were immune to any propaganda, are no longer interested in conversation with us. I hope this won't last long and people start seeing what is really going on around them.

About ten days ago I decided to smile to every person I meet on the street and to be the best version of myself for others. To do not wait anymore, to do not postpone anything, to just do and be with faith and with openness toward future and toward others. To be excellent as luc mentioned in his very uplifting post.

Today the police was strong in my neighbourhood, checking people and cars. And also we saw a military truck pass in front of my apartment and 3 soldiers walking on the street. So things are going fast.

In reading all the reports from people I am reminded of what Lobascewski (Political Ponerology) wrote:

During the initial shock, the feeling of social links between
normal people fade. After that has been survived, however, the
overwhelming majority of people begin to manifest their own
phenomenon of psychological immunization. Society simultaneously
starts collecting practical knowledge on the subject of
this new reality and its psychological properties.

There is a great amount of disbelief at what we are seeing being implemented by the authorities and also by the change of some of the people around us who from being friends, colleagues, family suddenly have become enforcers and in some ways strangers to us. After the initial shock social links will slowly be re-established and we will be a bit wiser about the new reality and how to navigate it.

Thank you for your reports. I think nobody is saying the virus isn't real or doesn't cause illness. And it may be true that something is going on in some regions in Italy that is abnormal. But we all need to keep a cool head here, especially perhaps people like you who are in the front lines of this. This means looking at the SEASONAL and NATIONAL flu statistics and see whether the additional numbers of Covid cases are even noticable in the stats.

Any other day, the problems you are referring to would be an interesting anomaly that local doctors and authorities should look into. But they probably wouldn't even make it into your national media, much less CNN! Most importantly, the questions is whether this warrants economic, social and political suicide of the whole world!

This whole thing is a hoax not in the sense that there is no virus, but in the sense that we don't have anything resembling a pandemic, much less a global one!

Besides, the questions Gaby raised still stand, such as:

* What does "COVID suspect" mean? Were they tested? If so, only for COVID or for other viruses or bacterial infections as well? And is ER access in any way privileged to "suspected COVID cases"?

* Are these extra beds you refer to full? If so, with tested Covid patients? Do they have symptoms BECAUSE covid or WITH covid? Are they tested for other things as well? Have they other illnesses? How grave are the symptoms - and would they be hospitalized without the corona panic?

* Are these cases of young covid patients tested? What are the symptoms? Do they die or recover? Would they be hospitalized without the panic?

* As you say, there may be a massive number of infected we don't know about, which means the mortality rate is extremely low, no? Which makes the whole problem a non-problem, with the possible exception of a few local hospitals being stressed out because some extra cases?

* Assuming that it is true that there were 600 deaths in Italy in one day, was this an anomaly? Or was it lots of deaths every day? How do these numbers register in the seasonal national stats compared with an average flu season?

Hi @luc , I was thinking about this along the same lines the other day and I tried to find some information on the Italian National Statistics site and the information about death rates from influenza look interesting for Lombardia:



Then I tried to find similar information about the same rates in Canada and the information seems to be more obfuscated (or not so easy to obtain), however, I found something that looks interesting:


I find it interesting that in recent years Influenza seems to have an increasing trend in terms of leading cause of death for Canadians, sitting currently in the 6th position, and accounting for 3% of total deaths. And this while the Influenza vaccine is free and being pushed all the time...

If we look at these numbers they seem to be somewhat consistent with the numbers reported in Italy (although as a percentage of the population it seems Canadians are more likely to die of influenza than Italians). Currently in Lombardia there seem to be around 4,800 deaths which is lower than the annual reported of ~6,000 as per the table above (all of Italy currently sitting at 8,215 Covid deaths as per Johns Hopkins). Is Italy still counting other types of influenza separately or nobody is testing for anything else but Covid at the moment?

China's numbers seem low in comparison, although we are always being shown Hubei province numbers, but what did China count? I couldn't find anything about the methodology on the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China's website or elsewhere. Does anybody know?

Dd China under report cases or they had a different methodology of reporting Covid deaths than the other Countries?

Without a clear picture and a consistent way of counting, these numbers do not mean much, we're simply watching a show.

I would add one more question for @Donjuan (thank you for the post by the way):
* When it comes to the hospitals being overwhelmed, is it possible that we are looking strictly at some hospitals that were designated as special hospitals that deal with infectious diseases, while in other hospitals there is no overload, or is it truly a generalized problem, where ALL hospitals are overwhelmed?

I am asking this question as a couple of people mentioned empty hospitals in this thread already, then I noticed an article in the Canadian MSM that seems to try to adress this concern, probably others noticed it too: Why the emergency departments look empty amid a viral outbreak.

I was listening to Daniel Defoe's account of The History of the Plague in London mentioned here by Itellsya, and Daniel Defoe describes a similar thing happening in the times of the plague in London (just to clarify I am not saying that THIS event is like the plague, just pointing out the similarities in medical care for the poor).

Poor people could not afford healthcare at the time and from what I have heard so far, were left to fend for themselves, with their houses shuttered up and guarded. The rich could move far away to the countryside and pay for expensive medical treatment but the poor people of London suffered the most. He also describes how the poorer people, in their desperation, consulted "charlatans" "quacks" and fortune-tellers selling "magical treatments" to cure and protect from the plague- which reminds me of this: 50 Dead As Prophet Makes Members Of His Church Drink ‘Dettol’ In The Name Of Miracle (PHOTOS).

Not to derail from the topic of the thread, but what i understood reading Defoe, although i can't say that his account is 100% reliable since it's one of the few accounts i've read, also my own interpretation may be wrong, but as an example of what he says about the care for the poor during the height of the plague:

This misery of the poor I had many occasions to be an eyewitness of, and sometimes also of the
charitable assistance that some pious people daily gave to such, sending them relief and supplies
both of food, physic, and other help, as they found they wanted; and indeed it is a debt of justice
due to the temper of the people of that day to take notice here, that not only great sums, very great
sums of money were charitably sent to the Lord Mayor and aldermen for the assistance and support
of the poor distempered people, but abundance of private people daily distributed large sums of
money for their relief, and sent people about to inquire into the condition of particular distressed
and visited families, and relieved them; nay, some pious ladies were so transported with zeal in so
good a work, and so confident in the protection of Providence in discharge of the great duty of
charity, that they went about in person distributing alms to the poor, and even visiting poor families,
though sick and infected, in their very houses, appointing nurses to attend those that wanted
attending, and ordering apothecaries and surgeons, the first to supply them with drugs or plasters,
and such things as they wanted; and the last to lance and dress the swellings and tumours, where
such were wanting; giving their blessing to the poor in substantial relief to them, as well as hearty
prayers for them.

Whereas once the plague had stopped 'raging', so did charity:

For it is to be observed, that though the occasions of relief and the objects of distress were very
many more in the time of the violence of the plague than now after all was over, yet the distress of
the poor was more now a great deal than it was then, because all the sluices of general charity were
now shut. People supposed the main occasion to be over, and so stopped their hands; whereas
particular objects were still very moving, and the distress of those that were poor was very great
indeed.

I understand houses and shops of all kinds were shuttered up because that was considered to be the best method to contain the plague, although Defoe seems unsure whether it was actually the best thing to do and whether it really had any effect on containment. However, those who had money and could flee, including churchmen, did so.

When he was appointed the temporary job of deciding which houses needed to be shut up, he writes:

It has been frequently asked me, and I cannot say that I ever knew how to give a direct answer to it,
how it came to pass that so many infected people appeared abroad in the streets at the same time
that the houses which were infected were so vigilantly searched, and all of them shut up and
guarded as they were.

I confess I know not what answer to give to this, unless it be this: that in so great and populous a
city as this is it was impossible to discover every house that was infected as soon as it was so, or to
shut up all the houses that were infected; so that people had the liberty of going about the streets,
even where they Pleased, unless they were known to belong to such-and-such infected houses.

It is true that, as several physicians told my Lord Mayor, the fury of the contagion was such at some
particular times, and people sickened so fast and died so soon, that it was impossible, and indeed to
no purpose, to go about to inquire who was sick and who was well, or to shut them up with such
exactness as the thing required, almost every house in a whole street being infected, and in many
places every person in some of the houses; and that which was still worse, by the time that the
houses were known to be infected, most of the persons infected would be stone dead, and the rest
run away for fear of being shut up; so that it was to very small purpose to call them infected houses
and shut them up, the infection having ravaged and taken its leave of the house before it was really
known that the family was any way touched.

The church was still open throughout the plague, although some of the priests and so on had fled, some continued to go to church and held on to their faith whereas he talks of how the terror of the situation had some of the poor flocking to astrologers. It sounds to me like some chose to go to these astrologers, and that there's something there about a loss of faith or an already lack of faith.

One mischief always introduces another. These terrors and apprehensions of the people led them
into a thousand weak, foolish, and wicked things, which they wanted not a sort of people really
wicked to encourage them to: and this was running about to fortune-tellers, cunning-men, and
astrologers to know their fortune, or, as it is vulgarly expressed, to have their fortunes told them,their nativities calculated, and the like; and this folly presently made the town swarm with a wicked
generation of pretenders to magic, to the black art, as they called it, and I know not what; nay, to a
thousand worse dealings with the devil than they were really guilty of. And this trade grew so open
and so generally practised that it became common to have signs and inscriptions set up at doors:
'Here lives a fortune-teller', 'Here lives an astrologer', 'Here you may have your nativity calculated',
and the like; and Friar Bacon's brazen-head, which was the usual sign of these people's dwellings,
was to be seen almost in every street, or else the sign of Mother Shipton, or of Merlin's head, and
the like.
With what blind, absurd, and ridiculous stuff these oracles of the devil pleased and satisfied the
people I really know not, but certain it is that innumerable attendants crowded about their doors
every day. And if but a grave fellow in a velvet jacket, a band, and a black coat, which was the habit
those quack-conjurers generally went in, was but seen in the streets the people would follow them
in crowds, and ask them questions as they went along.

Further to the above, some of the poor, for whatever reasons, even when they had the opportunity to protect themselves against the plague were lax. It strikes me that there was already quite a deterioration in society, quality of character and so on, and obviously not just amongst the poor. This i find notable because it's seems to be similar with most civilizations that are then met with catastrophe.

Defoe writes of his perception of the attitude of some of the poor:

But it was impossible to beat anything into the heads of the poor. They went on with the usual
impetuosity of their tempers, full of outcries and lamentations when taken, but madly careless of
themselves, foolhardy and obstinate, while they were well. Where they could get employment they
pushed into any kind of business, the most dangerous and the most liable to infection; and if they
were spoken to, their answer would be, 'I must trust to God for that; if I am taken, then I am
provided for, and there is an end of me', and the like. Or thus, 'Why, what must I do? I can't starve. I
had as good have the plague as perish for want. I have no work; what could I do? I must do this or
beg.' Suppose it was burying the dead, or attending the sick, or watching infected houses, which
were all terrible hazards; but their tale was generally the same. It is true, necessity was a very
justifiable, warrantable plea, and nothing could be better; but their way of talk was much the same
where the necessities were not the same. This adventurous conduct of the poor was that which
brought the plague among them in a most furious manner; and this, joined to the distress of their
circumstances when taken, was the reason why they died so by heaps; for I cannot say I could
observe one jot of better husbandry among them, I mean the labouring poor, while they were allwell and getting money than there was before, but as lavish, as extravagant, and as thoughtless for
tomorrow as ever; so that when they came to be taken sick they were immediately in the utmost
distress, as well for want as for sickness, as well for lack of food as lack of health.

I imagine it's not too dissimilar with what we're seeing today, that some "love and lighters" are claiming that an 'earth shift' of love is upon us and that we're all awakening and we need not do very much, meanwhile others won't use this as an opportunity to become moderately self-sufficient nor to create networks, nor to see through the deceit of the mainstream media. And so if an actual plague does come upon us those who chose to remain ignorant will be just as vulnerable as they were before this 'trial run'.

Let me tell you: this is becoming a extremely hard dictature, type Khmer rouges. I don't like that at all. Maybe I am a paranoiac but this is becoming more like maybe the harsh dictatures I have eve read. Little by little they are making people suffer. Very soon it will be tobacco. And then food. Unfortunaletly, I don't think you're being a parano. I have only studied the Nazi regime when I took german classes, but I see us taking the same path. In the village where I live, supermarkets have started rationing to allow everyone to get supplies and avoid fights.
I believe that many people will come out traumatized and others will become more aggressive.

It's only been a week since containment started and I already have friends who are having trouble with family members who are looking for conflict, who are becoming depressed and / or aggressive, etc. Some do not have the place to isolate themselves. Others are alone and far from their families and suffer from not being able to help them.

I am sad because after talking to some of them, I lost the esteem I had for them. I hope they just had a bad day and that their hearts is still in the right place ... In short, I realized that the "green/eugenics" agenda had made it's way in people's minds, and that some see this virus as an opportunity to get rid of the "undesirable" (the poor, the sick, the elderly ...) so that there are less pensions to pay, less taxes for Social Security.etc... Of course they don't realize that the elite may find them also to be part of the "undesirable" at some point...

Like others wrote on the forum, it's painful not being able to help and reassure my loved ones, because by doing so I would be pushing ideas into them that they don't want to contemplate. (Mainly that the PTB don't have our best interest in mind). The only thing I can do is to be here and listen.
And to be completly honest, there is also a part of me that is sad because I feel more and more detached from some of my relatives, like we don't live in the same world anymore. If I claim to love them, I have to let them follow their path, even if I know that this path may likely lead them to hell.

The way this "pandemic" is being managed is absolutely senseless. And it is obvious that it is being done to CREATE the illusion of a horrible situation.

Basically, they are cancelling nearly ALL basic medicine for populations, telling them "we need all resources for the pandemic." They are making it impossible for those persons to be seen by doctors or treated for non-hospitalization causes. And then, making it impossible for them to be hospitalized if the non-treatment leads to worsening conditions that are non-Corona Virus related!!!

Okay, so most people with the virus should stay at home and take some meds or not. A percentage of cases (depends on demographics) do need to be hospitalized. But not nearly so many as is being claimed.

What can be the outcome? A lot of deaths from other conditions that are not being treated and followed? Many people realizing that this is happening. And not just the patients, but the doctors who are seeing that their regular patients are being shunted aside by the rules, while the numbers of seriously ill people with Corona Virus are simply not materializing. So doctors know what's going on too, if they are paying attention and are not overwhelmed by the propaganda to think that any person with corona virus is a threat to humanity.

At the end of all this, many ordinary people will know that it was mishandled, and many doctors will know (if not most or even ALL of them). So, what's going to happen? Are they going to force doctors to sign non-disclosure agreements so they won't tell???

And also the doctors being left with no real means to fight, like in the case documented by Dr. Smith from the Elmhurst Hospital in Queens / NY USA, or the doctors in Romania that were left with no protection on the front lines...

Last night when I heard people clapping on my street, I got up and looked out the window to see what looked to my eyes as if everyone was clapping some random person walking down the street.

Now I am not saying this guy didn’t have a certain style to the way he walked but there was no way his gait was that impressive it deserved a round of applause.

I am starting to think that at least in the UK the national pride or affection the vast majority of people have for the NHS as a concept or form of collectivism is being used against them. Boris Jonson even has a banner on this podium that says "Protect the NHS” which is beyond rich considering the impact ten years of austerity have had on the that particular national institution.

So because of that sense of pride or loyalty most people wouldn’t dream of questioning whether those working for the NHS have any better handle on what is actually going on with this virus even though doctors and nurses and just susceptible to propaganda as the rest of the population.

Just a supposition : Vicenza (Veneto region in Italy) is one if the two starting points/sites of the CV outbreak and there we have two big US military complexes. In tracking the CV "zero patient" one of the leads pointed to a man living in Vicenza who traveled to Lombardia region... so maybe in Italy too the virus was introduced by american soldiers...

This would also be consistent with what the Chinese authorities are saying...

Instead he should have said he got symptoms and decided to self isolate for 7 days but won't get tested until his symptoms get severe and he has to be hospitalised after calling 111, waiting on hold for 2 hours, passing through a series of interview like questions as to why he deserves a test.

Apart from a history of hypertriglyceridemia, the patient was an otherwise healthy nonsmoker. On January 20, 2020, the CDC confirmed that the patient’s nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs tested positive for 2019-nCoV. Postscript: Researchers have greatly advanced their understanding of viral evolution since H1N1 a decade ago and finding patient zero is now more science than art. Recently, a team of Chinese researchers claimed to demonstrate that Covid-19 was born in September, 2019. The British researchers who had discovered the earlier H1N1 date are not convinced.
