Another good argument to use in discussions both online and offline when faced with emotional manipulation à la "nothing is more important than human lives". Tweeted this today:

You can expand the list to your liking. Things that DEFINETELY should be outlawed because "every life counts":

Cutting apple trees (peeps are falling from ladders in drones!)
Sweets
Sex
Bathtubs
Cupboards
Power tools
Cars
Bicycles
Swimming pools
Saunas
...

BOOM - millions of lives saved. What, you think that would be totalitarian? You murderer, you!!
This reminds me also of John Pilger's worthy victims differentiation.

I'm sometimes scared to check the MSM news these days becuase it takes real courage to brace myself for all the idiocy out there. This morning during my daily news catch up I bumped into this little tweet where Prince William states the UK is at its best when we're in crisis becuase the "community feel comes rushing back quicker than everything else".

Well, maybe if we weren't stuck at home instead of socialising in workplaces and during public interactions, or if we weren't bullied or fined for meeting friends we wouldn't need a substitute for that community feel? This didn't occur to Wills for whom not much has changed as a result of the "pandemic", he's still living in his caste with the only difference being a significantly reduced number of ribbons to cut. So it's pretty rich of him to say WE are in crisis. It's not like he's facing a loss of his job, his income, struggling to feed his family and keep a roof over his head. I mean, seriously...

And maybe Wills should learn the history in a bit more detail? Just like the virus today, both World Wars was used by the left in America to whip up the spirit of togetherness and fix the economy struggling after the financial crash of 1929. If anyone is interested in more details, I recommend reading Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg. There's also this interesting article from SOTT: Coronavirus as a substitute for world war -- Sott.net

A bit more on the Hollyweirdness and a very possible connection to recent and ongoing events. Vigilant Citizen's pics of the month for March features stuff by Hanx and son Chet who boasts that he's part of the Illuminati:

More pics of celebrities inputting their CV quarantine sh*t. Then it's on to Lady GaGa.
It's hard to say who's more the MKUltra persona, her or Miley Cyrus .

The message: Your “entertainers” are actually bots programmed by the elite.

Then we have Willow Smith - actor Will Smith's daughter who:
In a strange art exhibit (media stunt) named “The Anxiety”, Willow Smith locked herself inside a box for 24 hours. During that time, Willow shaved her head – a classic MK slave move (i.e. the Britney Spears meltdown).
I have to say the walls reminded me of the Spirit Cooking walls - very bizarre. But it gets weirder:

Whaddaya know - white rabbit ears.

She then put on bunny ears – another MK slave move. In Monarch programming, the “Alice in Wonderland” script instructs slaves to “follow the white rabbit” to dissociation. On a wider scale, the art exhibit oddly foreshadowed the forced confinement of billions of people that would happen only days after.
This is followed by more one-eye examples and gender fluid crap including this:

The gender-blurring agenda to pre-school children: Billy Porter wears a dress on Sesame Street.
A couple more celebrity trans-kid pics with "symbolic" clothing choices. Then Madonna's 2019 Eurovision performance revisited that I posted previously.

Symbolic Pics of the Month 03/20
Towards the end, Madonna blows a “wind of death”, killing the masked people as a broken Statue of Liberty is displayed on the background. Did the “Grand Priestess” of the music industry predict things to come in 2020?

Now on to another peculiar aspect in regards to "falling". As shown previously, lots of celebs/others falling down. Symbolic or part of the "initiation" in which one has to be humiliated.

So, are all those "falls" part of the humiliation/initiation - perhaps just as the "black eyes/one eyes" are proclaiming membership in the Club?

Never talk about Fight Club! Just keep "falling" down the rabbit hole!
Interesting. I was wondering where the new trend of high school boys shaving their head in my neighborhood came from...

Actually, quite a few reports on how different govs are acting are found on the main corona virus thread. So, rather than disperse the information, perhaps this thread should be merged there where so many other reports are already?

Is "Coronavirus epidemic in China: Apocalypse Now! Or exaggerated scare story?" the main thread? It seems to be but it is used for various purposes as figures reports, medical reports, govt's reactions, jokes... When I started this thread, I wanted it to be a focus on Govt's reactions and PTB analysis.
I thought that the information could be lost with too many different posts in a big general thread, I'm sorry if I got it wrong and made a redundant thread. If you think that's better to merge it there, let's do it.

Small personal breakthrough for us. We set up a play date with one of my children's friends. Previously all their parents had declined our requests to get together. Today is Easter and the friend left an Easter basket surprise at my front door, though they didn't stick around in person to let us know but informed us by text message. However, I took this as an opening and asked my wife to ask the parents again for a play date. The answer was yes this time.
I´m happy to read that! :-)

My 10y old son is almost every day out playing with his friends; it´s always the same 3 of them, sometimes joined with a 4th one.

What I like about this all thing is that before this plandemic, they would kick some ball and then went inside to play video-games - now they don´t go inside peoples´ homes and are "forced" to play outside.

After being bored for 2 days, hanging on the street only, suddernly they came up with the idea to explore nearby forrest. Now, they are every day for a couple of hours out in the woods, building stuff and playing like children suppose to play!

So in the middle of all this caos, maybe my son is having the time of his life! :-) No school, no pressure, only friends and nature....

China has imposed restrictions on the publication of academic research on the origins of the novel coronavirus, according to a central government directive and online notices published by two Chinese universities, that have since been removed from the web.

Under the new policy, all academic papers on Covid-19 will be subject to extra vetting before being submitted for publication. Studies on the origin of the virus will receive extra scrutiny and must be approved by central government officials, according to the now-deleted posts.

This cannot be to stop "fake News". This is to stop open and honest debate and study of the virus. Seems like the blame game of who spread the virus, China or US is just a distraction for us plebs.Looks like China is taking leadership in the next phase of the New World Order.

In fact, I doubt that if I have seen that in a movie that I would have believe that it could really happen in real life.
Donald Trump as President isn't very believable 🤷‍♂️

I have to say the walls reminded me of the Spirit Cooking walls - very bizarre. But it gets weirder:

Oh it definitely gets weirder!

One thought that's sticking with me is something that I only realised when I was writing that long post yesterday. And it's the fact that the 'flattening of the curve' is aimed at easing the load on hospitals and not on saving any lives. The flattened curve still has the same number of deaths under it, just spread over 2-3 extra months.

But I'm wondering whether I'm missing something here, so this is my question for everyone: When people say 'we must do this to save lives', what is - theoretically - the thing that's supposed to save lives, and how? Let's ignore whether it's actually working or not. I'm interested in why people think something that's being done will save lives. It was only during and after writing the long post that I realised I actually don't know the answer. So I wonder whether there is none or I'm just missing something.

We know that the basic fear the entire lockdown is built upon is the fear of death, so it will be hard to fight this without teaching people to not be afraid of death anymore, which will be almost impossible.
This ties into what I just said. If the issue is fear of death, and if the measures aren't actually saving any lives, then fear of death isn't really relevant to this situation (or possibly is in a completely dirrefent, even opposite way). In which case, the point about this lockdown not saving lives becomes one of the most crucial ones. (But I'm still unsure whether I missed something important.)

Is it not one of the reasons many people are not seeing it the fact that they are not ready to see it?
You're absolutely right. That is part of the picture. But the way I look at it is this: some people are not ready, and some people are 'ready' but need a push. The latter group is our target audience. The former group we probably can't do anything about.

Observing those around me, I would say that majority of them just don't like any stats, don't like comparing numbers
Unfortunately that is the case for a lot of people. I would hope not majority, but maybe it is. I like numbers, so I naturally work with them, since they convey the facts clearly and easily for me, but I am aware it's not for everyone. Which is why we need more approaches. I'm aware I have my own subjective perspective, but there's no point forcing myself to change my natural tendencies (because it wouldn't work anyway), so I work with what comes easily to me and what makes sense to me. It seems others are able to make use of that, so that's good.
To cover other bases, we have other forum members who have their own approaches and excel at different things. So yeah, my approach will work for some people and not for others, and other people's approach will cover what I miss. We all have our roles, and it's the networking that gives us power.

Even when I talk to a person that shares my view of the situation, that person just doesn't want to put any time into reading the articles I suggest on the topic, not to mention doing any research on her own.
Yeah, 'too lazy to do any research' is all too common, which is why I broke things down to many separate points that are easy to convey individually. But again, some people prefer comprehensive articles, others prefer 'tweets'.

There is a similarity, and I'm going to become a Debbie Downer here (Surprise, No? Ok.). But in both 9/11 and current times, the American Public could not conceive that "The Elites" could ever do anything so awful.
There are certainly many of those. I've said earlier that those who, after all these years and all the evidence to the contrary, still believe that the government has their best interests at heart, are completely immune to facts. Nothing we can do about those. But I think recent years have diminished their count.

This made me wonder why anti-globalists like Putin, Modi and Trump( to some extent) is bought into it.
I wouldn't necessarily say bought into it. If you think about it, Putin has nothing to gain by refusing to take some measures but a lot to lose. He considers many things and plays the long game. There's at least one very good reason why he shouldn't do what Sweden did. Sweden can afford to say "fukk you, we're doing things our way" because it has no enemies. Sweden is in no danger of sanctions or military conflicts. Not the same for Russia, so there are many things to consider. Probably better to impose some restrictions and ride this thing out then give the West more opportunity to point fingers at Russia and accuse Putin of everything possible. Putin probably has a strategy, and maybe he'll surprise everyone later when nobody expects it.

On the other hand, recently published studies have described the phenomenon of vaccine-associated virus interference; that is, vaccinated individuals may be at increased risk for other respiratory viruses because they do not receive the non-specific immunity associated with natural infection.
This seems pretty significant, especially since it's from a scientific study. Has it been on Sott yet?

A friend in Montana shared this on Facebook. Apparently you cannot get basic gardening supplies (or even charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill) at Home Depot

Yes, the same here in Manchester. Local large hardware store B&Q are only doing click and collect but charcoal etc not classified as essential products. Looks like rules have been set in place so only food to live are possible to buy.
Supermarkets still have some stocks of charcoal but they may run out soon.

As for situation in Germany, I came across today this two articles:

....yes, they are tracking us and nobody seems to care.....
Germans are on the move more and more

At the end of March, many people stayed at home because of Corona. But now mobile phone data show that the population is becoming more mobile every day.

...
The measures quickly had an effect: within a week , traffic on the streets decreased by around 40 percent . Overall, people's mobility decreased by the same amount - whether on foot, by car or another means of transport.

But since the end of March, the Germans have been traveling a little more every day. This shows movement profiles of mobile phone owners, which Teralytics has evaluated anonymously - see the following diagram.

Movement was counted when a cell phone leaves a radio cell and does not change its new position for at least 15 minutes later. It doesn't matter how people move, whether on foot, by train or by car.

...more to it: Leopoldina-Forscher legen konkreten Fahrplan für Ende der Kontaktsperren vor - DER SPIEGEL - Wissenschaft

In short;
article describes how the carantine end should be performed:
- people sould install tracking app in case of infection gouvermant can see where you were (this app will not be mandatory (so they say), but I´m betting that most of people will install it.)
- people will have to wear masks
- mass gatherings alowed only after vaccine is developed

Leopoldina researchers provide concrete roadmap for end of contact closures

The National Academy Leopoldina recommends returning to school soon. Shops and authorities should also gradually open up and travel should be allowed - but under conditions, according to a paper that is available to SPIEGEL.

In her last public appearance to date shortly before Easter, Chancellor Angela Merkel had clearly formulated the scientific advice from which she would like to be guided in her further action in the corona pandemic. "For me, a very important study will be that of the National Academy of Sciences, the Leopoldina," said Merkel at a press conference last Thursday. It is about standing for the upcoming decisions "on firm ground". This is the only way to lift the many drastic restrictions on public life, said Merkel.

...
Over a period of hours, 26 scholars had reached a consensus on what recommendations they would give the government over Easter. Well-known scientists such as the chairman of the economic methods Lars Feld, the ethicist Claudia Wiesemann, the legal philosopher Reinhard Merkel or the sociologist Armin Nassehi coordinated this in telephone conferences and developed clear standards for how the new freedoms can be given to citizens.

Leopoldina President Gerald Haug told SPIEGEL: "We wanted to adopt a calm and balanced attitude in the excited political debate, but to show the citizens an optimistic perspective." The top priority is "the protection of every single person" from being infected with the corona virus . "We have to avoid a second wave of infection at all costs," said Haug. "The basic rule must continue to adhere to the distance and hygiene measures that have been learned." However, loosening could now be derived from this, in accordance with the requirement: two meters distance, and if this is not possible, then protective masks.

...
With the help of suitable samples, "the infection and immunity status of the population" must be researched, hence the question of how many people are infected and recovered. If possible, the epidemic should be observed in real time and predictions made for the next one to two weeks. This is the only way to assess whether the number of infections remains manageable or whether "readjustment" needs to be carried out if the ban on contacts is relaxed. The scholars subliminally express criticism that this is not better assessed and is digitally available at the national level.

The Leopoldina researchers are therefore also calling on smartphone apps to be used. Similar to South Korea, "voluntarily provided GPS data in combination with contact tracing" should be used, that is, the exchange between the smartphones using the Bluetooth technology. This would make it easier to understand who a newly infected person had had contact with. These people could then go into quarantine.

Leopoldina President Haug is aware that storing GPS data is legally problematic. "That is why the use of the apps can only be done voluntarily and the data must be deleted after four weeks," he told SPIEGEL. The meaningfulness of the app would have to be made clear to citizens, as this would be the only way to generate acceptance and motivation. "This app is crucial to ensure a differentiated forecast of the pandemic process," says Haug, who is himself a director at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz.

Software companies are already preparing an appropriate app on behalf of the federal government. Provided that, they recommend to return to normal, "as soon as possible". They focus primarily on three areas: education, public life and future economic policy.
...

Kindergartens, schools and universities

The Leopoldina researchers are keen to reopen the schools "as soon as possible". Because learning at home would further exacerbate the already marked social inequality in education. Because this applies above all to primary schools, where learning content is communicated in the community, they should be the first to open, first of all the upper classes in which the students would be before the transition to secondary schools. The children would have to wear "mouth-nose protection", they should first be taught in the basic subjects German and mathematics in a "group size of maximum 15 students". Depending on the learning group, you should take a break separately.

According to the Leopoldina Council, day care centers should only offer emergency operation "until the summer holidays". The reason: the youngest could not use protective masks, the risk that the virus would spread to parents and grandparents in this way was too great. At the universities, too, the summer semester should be completed "largely as an online / home learning semester".

...

Public life

The Leopoldina scientists have given the German government a clear mandate to pursue an exit strategy, and this is necessary "for constitutional reasons". If the number of new infections remained stable at a low level, both corona and normal patients could be given health care and people continued to follow the hygiene measures, nothing would stand in the way of normalizing public life. Retail and restaurants could reopen, and "general business and official public traffic" could be resumed.

The same applies here: mask requirement. "In the future, every citizen should carry such a thing with them and wear it wherever the minimum distance is not observed," says Haug. That applies in the supermarket, where you get close, in the office and also at work. Where possible, work in the home office should continue. If this is not possible, shiftwork must be carried out, always with the same personnel composition and with a greater distance between the workplaces. These working groups should also sit together in the canteen, they should not mix.

Under these premises, travel should also be possible again, both on business and privately. On the train, on the plane and on the buses, people would have to stay as far away as possible and wear mouth and nose protection. Haug suggests that Deutsche Bahn establishes a corresponding reservation system so that certain rows of seats remain free between passengers. For recreational events such as concerts or sporting events, when resuming, the extent to which people come into contact with one another and how well they can be separated from one another apply.

The Leopoldina researchers are not becoming any more specific, but the following criteria should apply: Theaters can open earlier than rock concerts are possible again. Similar to football games on dense standing stands, according to the Leopoldina guidelines it could apply that these are only allowed again after a vaccine has been developed.

...

Economic policy to deal with the corona crisis

The National Academy is calling for a series of tax relief for the short-term revival of the economy, including not only depreciation for companies but also to abolish the solidarity surcharge for lower and middle income classes earlier than planned. Even a complete abolition also for top earners, and not, as currently only for 90 percent of the population, must be considered. This should annoy the coalition partner SPD and its federal finance minister Olaf Scholz, who had always rejected this demand from the CDU.

The Leopoldina strongly advises against neglecting environmental and climate protection after the corona crisis. The opposite is advisable: The economy should be brought back on the growth path, but guided by "principles of sustainability, not least because there is enormous potential for economic development", the researchers write. "We have to stick to the course we have set, in particular the EU Commission's Green Deal should be pursued," said paleoclimatologist Haug. In doing so, the Leopoldina scholars are giving voices from business and the Union parties a rejection that want to reduce or postpone environmental pollution for industry after the corona crisis.

However, they remain conservative when it comes to the question of financial aid from the EU countries. In particular, the countries heavily affected by the pandemic should receive cheap loans and aid from the European Investment Bank and the European Stability Mechanism. But they do not mention the corona bonds that Italy, Spain and France are vehemently calling for.

In their very broad statement, the researchers warn not to underestimate the impact of contact blocks on people's mental and physical health. These are immense. A perspective must also be communicated to the citizens on how the way out of the corona crisis can be mastered. This would reduce the psychological burden on people, but also increase the willingness to continue to follow the hygiene and contact requirements. On this point, the researchers are most directly critical of how politics has dealt with the crisis so far.

Angela Merkel will read the National Academy's text carefully before going into the crucial negotiations to end the corona shutdown. The Corona Cabinet will meet in the Federal Chancellery on Tuesday afternoon with the relevant federal ministers such as Peter Altmaier (business), Olaf Scholz (finance) and Jens Spahn (health). A day later, Merkel spoke to the prime ministers.

Then she will announce the first steps, such as those at the start of school. Politicians now have a template from science that can be used to justify risky decisions. When it starts easing depends on a logistical performance: the federal government has to organize protective masks, not millions, but billions.

Well, I don't think it's about saving lives at all. All deaths regardless of whether they're from the virus, the introduced vaccines, or those influenced in one way or another through the social, financial or medical consequences of lockdown and social isolation are all just collateral damage in power games and financial manoeuvres for the gain of the few.

Of course it's a powerful peace of manipulation to have the general population believe it's about saving lives because that reduces the probability that the masses will stand up against it - or so the elites believe.

Gotta wonder what is going to be the 'straw that broke the camel's back' moment where that all changes though. That might be different for different individuals.

Edited to add:

It could unfold as it did in the movie V for Vendetta, where V telecast the speech to the people that introduce the glimmer of hope and indicated that they could do something to change the oppressive control.

If Trump is re-elected and he gives a speech as engaging and inspiring as his inauguration speech, that might do it if enough people have suffered enough by that time.

Sounds like a perfect reason to leave my smartphone at home. Or embrace a dumbphone, only using the smartphone for Google maps (I live in a huge city and travel a lot). Or consider alternatives to Google and Apple OS. I wonder if the below solution presented by Scottie will have the same intrusive tracking drawbacks?

That said, we are already being tracked in the ways they propose - and more. They know exactly who we hang out with and what mobile numbers live in the same household. They're just looking for an excuse to make that tracking public so it's easier to use data gathered through that tracking against us. So far a lot of noise has been made about privacy, is that not what the whole trial show against Zuckerberg in the US Congress was about? But a time has come to stop pretending and encourage people to give up their privacy under the excuse of concerns for their health and safety.

”Saving lives” by ’flattening the curve’ is about having enough hospital equipment for those who are sick so they won’t die and thus lessening the total number of deaths...is that what you mean??
