Update:
Back at work at our 'corona psychward'.
Still only very few patients that get tested and when negativley tested (all so far) are send to another ward.
We have 2 emergency psychwards with usually 4 people working nightshift (2/2). Now they think they can reduce us down to a workforce of 3 people due to this situation.
All seems to be kinda incompetent und unorganised. Noone knows how long it will last until we'll reopen our ward to the 'normal patient influx'. Some say it could last until the end of this incredible year.:umm:
All the patients gets tested with the PCR test...we know what that means.
And according to my information all the beds that are kept free for corona are still being paid for so there is no need for changing this situation. Which means that a lot of people cannot check in.
Last night a woman was admitted who had a breakdown. She got drunk and became violent towards her little kids. She threw them against the refrigerator.
For sure we'll see more and more domestic abuse in the days to come. :-(

Yes this is going be a normal occurrence the longer we have to endure the measures.

A golf course near where I live is reopening this weekend and on it's FB page they've listed the new restrictions that people can expect if they show up to play a round of golf -
We believe our course is in great shape and look forward to seeing many of our golfing friends again over the upcoming days.
Similar to what you are seeing everywhere, when we open things will work very differently.
There are many changes but please know that everything we are doing is to ensure the safety of our customers and our employees. Your support and co-operation is appreciated as we all fight together against COVID-19.

Stringent enforcement of social distancing and necessary safety practices are as follows:

Please practice social distancing at all times.

Book tee times on-line through our website or call the Pro Shop to ensure being able to play.
No Walk-on golfers.
Tee time spacing has been extended to 12 minutes to accommodate the new practices.

Please arrive at the course about 15 minutes prior to your tee time.
Driving range and putting greens will be closed.

Debit & credit transactions only. No cash payments.
Display products only (balls, tees, gloves). Ask Pro Shop staff & they will bring purchased items to you at the counter.

We are permitting 4 people per group.
One person per cart unless in same household, then a cart can be shared.
All carts will be sanitized prior to next use.
Walking is encouraged whenever possible.
Rental & personal pushcarts only.
No rental golf clubs will be available.
No storage of clubs, carts or clothing until further notice.

No rakes, ball washers, garbage cans, divot repair boxes and benches will be on the course.
Do not remove flagsticks.
‘Noodle’ pieces will be placed in pin cups to allow safe retrieval of balls at the pin.

There will be no washrooms on the course, in the Clubhouse or Pro Shop.
Outer Clubhouse washrooms to be used only, and will be regularly cleaned.

Coffee, canned beverages & snacks will be available in Pro Shop.
No pre and post-game gatherings.
"No pre and post-game gatherings." This last line struck me like a punch to the gut. I don't golf but have friends that do. I've been to the course a few times and it has a nice clubhouse/restaurant that I've been in. The main reason to golf (I think) is precisely for the pre and post game gatherings. Without it, in my opinion, and now with these restrictions, it has the appeal of a trip to the dentist. This golf club has been struggling in the last few years as business has tapered off a bit. I don't see it lasting past the summer. I think a lot of small businesses will be gone before the end of the year. :-(

Small-scale testing of Dutch corona medicine ‘within six months’

Dutch research into an antibody which can block infection by corona virus has found potential sponsors in three big pharmaceuticals and small-scale testing could begin within six months, broadcaster NOS reports [in Dutch].

To turn the antibody into a medicine and enable large-scale production, the research team at Utrecht and Erasmus [Rotterdam] universities will need to partner up with a big pharmaceutical company.

Principal investigator Berend Jan Bosch told the broadcaster that he has been approached by two or three big companies who are ready to ‘invest millions’ in developing a medicine. The patent would remain in the hands of the researchers, while the pharmaceutical in question will take a licence to the antibody. None of the interested parties were named.

The antibody is currently being tested on animals. If all goes according to plan, a small-scale trial among consenting patients could be carried out within six months, Bosch said.

Bosch, fellow researcher Frank Grosveld and a team of international investigators went public with the finding in mid March and recently published a paper in the prestigious scientific journal Nature.

Left-over material

The antibody, a remnant of earlier research into corona viruses like SARS and MERS, was found in a freezer at the Utrecht university lab for animal science. ‘We started work on it and found that one of the antibodies not only bind to the virus but block the infection of the cells as well,’ Bosch said.

The presence of the old material meant the team had a head start in the international scramble to find a medicine or vaccine to combat the virus which has killed 303,000 people worldwide so far. Israel too has discovered antibody, Bosch said, but is about three months behind the Dutch team.

The medicine will be used in two ways, Bosch said. ‘It can be given to people who already have the virus but also to people who don’t have it so the antibody protects them if they are exposed to the virus.’

Even if a vaccine were to be ready next year, the medication will still be useful for people who react badly to vaccines and people with underlying medical problems who are unable to produce antibodies at all, Bosch said.

In a flash of sudden inspiration, I wrote an article yesterday. It's not too long, so I figured I'd share it here first and let you guys comment, fact check, and maybe provide suggestions before I submit it. I wanted to keep it relatively short and not go too far into 'conspiratory' territory (say that 3 times), to make it easily understandable to the general public. I think every Sotter has a pretty good handle on what's going on, so I think there's more value in information that can be spread more widely without people being immediately triggered into spasms of needless stupidity. Pretty much every paragraph addresses one separate issue, so they could even be shared one at a time.

Navigating the Propagandemic

As everyone must be aware by now, this 'pandemic' we've been watching in slow motion has been vastly exaggerated and met with exaggerated responses that are, however, all too real and cannot be undone. What's spreading uncontrollably around the world is secondarily a virus and primarily lack of common sense and actions that will leave the world as we know it in ruins unless we somehow manage to stop them. Much is happening every day, and it's all rather chaotic and confusing, especially anything that comes out of the mouths of government officials, echoed by the brain-dead androids in the media. So I want to do a short recapitulation of where we stand at this point.

SARS-CoV-2 is a virus that's not much different from many other coronaviruses, which are quite common, or from seasonal flu. While overreacting to its initial spread is somewhat understandable due to the many unknowns associated with it, it is perfectly clear now that it poses no more danger than the other viruses just mentioned. Most people don't get infected when exposed to it. Of those who get infected, most show mild or no symptoms. Of those who show symptoms, only a very small percentage dies. And the ones who die are almost exclusively people who are old and have underlying health problems, or, in other words, people who die from any infection. We've lived with such viruses forever. There is no reason to panic or to introduce destructive measures. The only significant difference between this virus and the others is its PR campaign.

From the evidence we've gathered in the last two months, SARS-CoV-2 on its own doesn't and can't cause all that much harm. It is only in combination with other factors that it becomes deadly. Most of the time, it does not translate into the 'disease' named COVID-19. One of its observed effects is decreased oxygenation of blood. This will not cause much trouble to a healthy person, but it will amplify any existing health problems. It will also have a stronger effect in combination with other factors like air pollution, which is why Wuhan and Northern Italy have been hit so hard. Much of the damage we see is due to already bad health of many people, pollution, and stress. And stress is, of course, what the governments and the media have been creating 24/7 for months, clearly with no sense of real responsibility. Much of the suffering we've seen has been directly caused by this incompetent (or malicious?) response.

It has also been made clear by many experts that this virus came from a laboratory and not from Chinese people eating bad things, as Western propaganda, completely devoid of any scientific basis or even just common sense, would have us believe. Among other reasons, if you find sequences from HIV in a coronavirus, you know they didn't get there by random mutations (unless you're as misinformed about microbiology as most people seem to be about SARS-CoV-2). Which one of the two labs that have been working on exactly this kind of stuff for years and are thus the most likely, if not only possible, culprits, i.e. Fort Detrick in Maryland or the lab in Wuhan is responsible for this 'leak', I leave for you to decide. But it should be remembered that they worked on this together, to a large extent. And we know the security measures in Fort Detrick were so bad that it was closed in Summer 2019 for that reason. I will let you ponder what light it casts on our situation that it came almost certainly from one of those and most definitely not from a Chinese market.

Lockdown, physical distancing, and masks were introduced to 'flatten the curve' to avoid overwhelming hospitals. As most hospitals everywhere are empty, this goal has been achieved, and there is no more reason for any of these measures to continue (with the possible exception of a few of the hardest-hit places like NYC). The measures do not and can not stop the spread of a virus. They can, and do, however, destroy people's lives, both directly and indirectly, and will continue to do so for years. They are also violations of basic human rights and freedoms. We've been told that 9/11 happened because the terrorists 'envied our freedoms'. Well, they don't have to envy anymore. Our freedoms are gone. And if you believe it's only 'temporary', you haven't learned anything from history.

Countries without 'quarantine' (Sweden, Belarus, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan) have shown clearly that their results aren't any different from those of countries with 'quarantine'. (Note that 'quarantine' is a word for restricting the movement and rights of infected people. Restricting the movement and rights of healthy people is usually called fascism.) Of these five countries, Sweden can be said to be doing worse than the other four. Yet Sweden is doing better than Italy, France, the UK, Spain, Netherlands or Belgium. At the same time, it's not wilfully destroying its economy, harassing its population, and taking away people's basic rights. Belarus is riding this out with ease without any restrictions whatsoever. The claims that we'd have been worse off without 'quarantine' are thus completely unsubstantiated.

Wearing masks, aside from having little to no effect on stopping this virus, does a lot of damage. It deprives us of oxygen, which leads to all kinds of health problems, and this, ironically, actually produces some symptoms similar to those of SARS-CoV-2. The waste we exhale, including viruses, is inhaled back with a mask on. Thus our viral load increases, and our latent viruses (of which we all have plenty) get amplified and awoken. You can actually get sick from the viruses in your body that were latent and got awoken by wearing a mask. Wearing a mask also isolates you from normal environment and thus weakens your immune system, making you more susceptible to viruses of all kinds, as well as to other threats to your health. These problems also amplify one another. Low oxygen weakens your immune system. A weakened immune system gives a better chance to the latent viruses to spread and multiply, and so on. And of course, the people whom this affects the most are old people with already weakened immune systems, and especially those with respiratory problems. In other words, exactly the people we should be trying to protect the most.

The counting of COVID-19 cases and deaths has been one of the most fraudulent things ever witnessed, and all the numbers are almost completely meaningless. Tests are wildly inaccurate. Deaths are inflated by counting anyone who can even remotely be counted, including people with heart attacks who are merely suspected of having coronavirus. No test needed. Just an assumption. And since hospitals in many places get more money for covid patients than for any other patients, and since government institutions encourage doctors to write COVID-19 wherever possible, it is no surprise that the numbers are nowhere near accurate or meaningful. And this is all by design, as has been proved countless times and confirmed by government officials and agencies. Yet even with all the manipulation in the direction of increasing the apparent threat of SARS-CoV-2, the virus fails to appear significantly worse than the flu. It seems very likely that if reported correctly, the number of deaths from covid-19 would be nowhere near those of the flu.

The measures taken under the disguise of 'fighting a virus' (false because they don't achieve that) and 'saving lives' (no evidence of that happening) are in many cases so bizarre, illogical, and destructive that people really should think about how much of this can be ascribed to just incompetence before it starts strongly suggesting malicious intent. The economy is being destroyed, which means higher prices of food and many other necessities, millions of lost jobs, destruction and decreased production of food, starvation, poverty, disrupted education, closure of small businesses and thus many people's livelihoods, domestic violence, suicides, and much more. The psychological damage to countless people is only beginning and will continue for years to come. This whole generation of children will be damaged by something so incredibly stupid and at the same time completely unnecessary that it's hard to fathom how this could ever have happened.

At the same time, of course, the rich are getting richer, as always, and the usual parasites are capitalising on this crisis. Nobody's being 'saved', we're all getting harmed in many ways while politicians, bankers, and CEOs are robbing us like they always do, and yet many people, in an amazing display of loss of all cognitive functions, apparently, are cheering for their own demise. Everything that's wrong with our system, everything people have been protesting against for years, has been magnified many times, but many people go along with this utter madness and support it. It turns out that all you have to do make the whole world participate in a collective suicide is to repeat the same lies every day and tell people all this is to 'save lives'. It doesn't have to make any sense. No lives need to be actually saved for it to work. It seems that saying 'saving lives' makes anything not only acceptable but highly desirable, no matter how many lives it destroys. People's critical thinking has been obliterated by decades of programming and conditioning, and they will happily be digging their own graves, for free.

The proposed solutions are just as fake as the reasons for a global lockdown. A vaccine for coronavirus is pretty much impossible, for many reasons. The virus mutates much faster than anybody can make a vaccine. We don't have vaccines for any other coronaviruses either, as they have been so difficult to make that success has been eluding us so far. Nor do we have one for the common cold, for that matter. And this new virus is of course less known and less studied than all the 'old' ones. Any vaccine that will be announced for SARS-CoV-2 is pretty certain to do more harm than good (if you believe it can do any 'good' in the first place), and any serious testing is very unlikely to ever occur. But it will make a lot of money for people who are already rich, and you'll be paying for it. With your money, with your health, and with your freedom if vaccination becomes necessary in order to travel, buy things, and engage in other common activities.

There certainly is some resistance to all this in(s)anity, and it's growing every day. The powers that be are in a desperate overdrive with censorship of vital information and persecution of anyone who dares speak the truth about what's happening. Ewwgle is on one of the largest censorship sprees in the history of mankind, and so is Fakebook. The extent of their endeavour to tell you what you're allowed to see, read, or believe, is indeed frightening. The truth, or even some people's opinions, are clearly more dangerous to them than an angry hippo. Maybe the largest obstacle for effective resistance to this madness is that too many people have been so brainwashed that they actively support their own destruction, even if it's so clearly visible to the rest of us. As we have seen, even many alternative media have taken an illogical stance against basic human rights, dignity, freedom, and any sense of normal life, under the completely misguided idea that they're helping someone (who exactly?), so these times are indeed a spectacle to behold.

The coming months will bring remarkable changes to our society and to our lives, one way or another. The direction of these changes will greatly depend on people's ability to realise that what's happening right now is not in their interest at all, and to see just how much they've been betrayed by their governments, and that it really might be time 'to get mad'.

We'll see whether covid-19 will be followed by livid-20. If not, stupid-21 will probably kill us all.

Reports are starting to come out acknowledging that the devastation being wrought by the lockdown will dwarf the impact of the virus.

The UK government just published an analysis stating that 675,000 people will die over the next several years if a staggered lockdown strategy is adopted:

Prolonged lockdown measures could kill hundreds of thousands, study reveals

Pew projecting 75,000 additional suicides in the US as a result of depression induced by joblessness and social isolation (this on top of the already high rate of deaths of despair, which have actually lowered the life expectancy of American whites for the first time in history):

Fear, Isolation, Depression: The Mental Health Fallout of a Worldwide Pandemic

And despite all of this, our wise and benevolent leaders insist that we must remain under house arrest. If one were of a cynical frame of mind, one might almost begin to suspect that inducing a state of emotional trauma amongst the masses was precisely the goal.

I don't have anything to add. That was brilliantly written. Informative and polemical. Definitely worth putting up on SOTT in my opinion.

This line killed me:

Here's another example of Covid hysteria being proven wrong:

Study claiming new coronavirus can be transmitted by people without symptoms was flawed

A paper published on 30 January in The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) about the first four people in Germany infected with a novel coronavirus made many headlines because it seemed to confirm what public health experts feared: that someone who has no symptoms from infection with the virus, named 2019-nCoV, can still transmit it to others. That might make controlling the virus much harder.

Chinese researchers had previously suggested asymptomatic people might transmit the virus but had not presented clear-cut evidence. “There’s no doubt after reading [the NEJM] paper that asymptomatic transmission is occurring,” Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told journalists. “This study lays the question to rest.”

But now, it turns out that information was wrong. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German government’s public health agency, has written a letter to NEJM to set the record straight, even though it was not involved in the paper.

The letter in NEJM described a cluster of infections that began after a businesswoman from Shanghai visited a company near Munich on 20 and 21 January, where she had a meeting with the first of four people who later fell ill. Crucially, she wasn’t sick at the time: “During her stay, she had been well with no sign or symptoms of infection but had become ill on her flight back to China,” the authors wrote. “The fact that asymptomatic persons are potential sources of 2019-nCoV infection may warrant a reassessment of transmission dynamics of the current outbreak.”

But the researchers didn’t actually speak to the woman before they published the paper. The last author, Michael Hoelscher of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Medical Center, says the paper relied on information from the four other patients: “They told us that the patient from China did not appear to have any symptoms.” Afterward, however, RKI and the Health and Food Safety Authority of the state of Bavaria did talk to the Shanghai patient on the phone, and it turned out she did have symptoms while in Germany. According to people familiar with the call, she felt tired, suffered from muscle pain, and took paracetamol, a fever-lowering medication. (An RKI spokesperson would only confirm to Science that the woman had symptoms.)

Hoelscher was not on the call, he says. “I asked the Bavarian Health and Food Safety Authority whether the information from that phone conversation called for a correction and I was told that is not the case,” he says. (The Bavarian ministry of health, of which the agency is part, has not responded to a request for information from ScienceInsider.) But RKI disagreed. The agency’s spokesperson confirms that a letter about the error has been submitted to NEJM. RKI also informed the World Health Organization (WHO) and European partner agencies about the new information.

“I feel bad about how this went, but I don’t think anybody is at fault here,” says virologist Christian Drosten of the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, who did the lab work for the study and is one of its authors. “Apparently the woman could not be reached at first and people felt this had to be communicated quickly.”

Marc Lipsitch, an epidemiologist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, says calling a case asymptomatic without talking to the person is problematic. “In retrospect, it sounds like this was a poor choice,” he says. However, “In an emergency setting, it’s often not possible to talk to all the people,” he adds. “I’m assuming that this was an overstretched group trying to get out their best idea of what the truth was quickly rather than somebody trying to be careless.”

The Public Health Agency of Sweden reacted less charitably. “The sources that claimed that the coronavirus would infect during the incubation period lack scientific support for this analysis in their articles,” says a document with frequently asked questions the agency posted on its website yesterday. “This applies, among other things, to an article in [NEJM] that has subsequently proven to contain major flaws and errors.” Even if the patient’s symptoms were unspecific, it wasn’t an asymptomatic infection, says Isaac Bogoch, an infectious disease specialist at the University of Toronto. “Asymptomatic means no symptoms, zero. It means you feel fine. We have to be careful with our words.”

Hoelscher agrees that the paper should have been clearer about the origin of the information about the woman’s health. “If I was writing this today, I would phrase that differently,” he says. The need to share information as fast as possible, along with NEJM’s push to publish early, created a lot of pressure, he says.

Given how fast data are coming out amid the growing global crisis, it’s good to read even peer-reviewed papers with some extra caution at the moment, Lipsitch says: “I think peer review is lighter in the middle of an epidemic than it is at normal speed, and also the quality of the data going into the papers is necessarily more uncertain.”

The fact that the paper got it wrong doesn’t mean transmission from asymptomatic people doesn’t occur. Fauci, for one, still believes it does. "This evening I telephoned one of my colleagues in China who is a highly respected infectious diseases scientist and health official," he says. "He said that he is convinced that there is asymptomatic infection and that some asymptomatic people are transmitting infection." But even if they do, asymptomatic transmission likely plays a minor role in the epidemic overall, WHO says. People who cough or sneeze are more likely to spread the virus, the agency wrote in a situation report on Saturday. “More data may come out soon. We will just have to wait,” Lipsitch says.

The German cluster does reveal another interesting aspect about the new virus, Drosten says. So far most attention has gone to patients who get seriously ill, but all four cases in Germany had a very mild infection. That may be true for many more patients, Drosten says, which may help the virus spread. “There is increasingly the sense that patients may just experience mild cold symptoms, while already shedding the virus,” he says. “Those are not symptoms that lead people to stay at home.”

They did some testing in my country that used a different method than the usual tests performed in most places. They found that a lot more people than expected have had C1984 and didn't even know it. And this was in mainstream news. Until now it was thought that only a very small portion of the population had had it.

I've already mentioned that I'm more and more convinced that that's what I had in December. Today my colleague, in his 50s, said that he was really sick in December too, and now he and his wife think it was C1984. Another one of my co-workers thinks that that's what her kids had in January, since, again, the symptoms were quite unusual for a regular flu.

So when reading more news, people are realising that when they were sick 3-5 months ago and thought the symptoms were pretty strange, in retrospect the symptoms are consistent with what's being written about C1984. Which means that people are finding out they had this, and that it clearly didn't require shutting down the economy, and they survived. And they're sharing these stories with friends and colleagues.

So the general population is, albeit at a slower pace than us, figuring out just how much of the official narrative is nonsense.

Meanwhile the governments and media keep piling up more nonsense. Today I read that bars will have to close at 23:00 at the latest (whenever they're actually allowed to open). So I guess the coronavirus goes hunting mainly after midnight, so people need to get back home in time. You can't make this shit up. Unless you're a politician.

It's a must-watch too. Thank you for posting.

He gives a well-rounded summary of things we already know about the virus, but it is about so much more. I highly recommend it.

Dr Zach has a healthy spiritual view of life in general, and it's from that perspective that he views all viruses, diseases, and healing. It's a reminder that we are souls dressed up in these magnificent 3D bodies, living here temporarily, and the reason all is failing in the world (the medical system especially) is because we forgot (or were made to forget by those who aren't) who we truly are. Or at least, that's what I got from him.

I second that!

Wow what a powerful video with an incredible message. Best video I’ve seen so far about the current climate. Made me cry. Thanks for sharing the video and thank you everyone for this wonderful network.
