Have a look at this:

Their message seems, at first, to be a good one, but they have really missed the boat on the reason. They blame our problems on the pre-frontal cortex rather than the fact that people do not USE the pre-frontal cortex, running instead on emotional programs. VERY dangerous ideas here.

Here's the website:

I'm just watching right now :
"you should be impulsive and
don't think logical" ?

Argh the music, singing and talk was really hard for me to stand.

It's really marketed for the younger crowd with all the right images from movies, internet culture and so on imho.
To let your impulses direct your life and think you're some kind of special person raises red flags all over.
I don't know but it kinda pushes all the right narcissitic angles in people, so it will probably work.

Is there somewhere to read what that neanderthal type is singing. I cant find anything with sense on that site. Whats the message exactly? Sounds to me like "let us be OPs" movement :)

Yeah, somone I know just emailed me this video link.

It felt like someone telling me not to use my brain while the music flooded my mind with some kind of drug.

Also, the implication that various mental instabilities and disorders that are most likely diet related seem to be promoted as an expression of your true soul! The thought of a world where we all abandon our pre-frontal cortex is pretty disturbing to me :scared:

Good grief :O

Impulsivity is a strength? Just let yourself express all your mechanical impulses and that makes you something special - a chosen one of god? This propaganda is really encouraging people to behave narcissistically. Dangerous stuff indeed.

Yes to all of the above.

Plus he's selling a book and wants everyone to pledge $10/month to join his "movement"--moving where? To narcissistic nirvana, it would seem.

No need to work on yourself or dig into the nature of reality, just let your emotions run wild, sign up, and you, too, can become famous and worshipped by the hard-working peasants who have gotten their hands dirty so you don't have to!

A comment on LoPorto's YouTube user page about sums it up:

and for you "WAY-SEER", (way to make money) best marketing tool I saw since 'the secret'!

Interesting picture of a lizard at 7:51 when he says philosophy. Yep, this "philosophy" is completely narcissistic and self-serving.

The whole team just sat down to watch it. There are so many twists and hooks it's unbelievable. It is basically a manifesto for psychopaths. The language alternates between characteristics of psychopathy and the inner struggles of oppressed normal humans. (And, of course, psychopaths feel oppressed by normal humans because they are condemned by moral law.) So it will certainly attract the disaffected from both categories.

The images alternate between true heroes and outright psychopaths. The description of rational thought - the pre-frontal cortex - that which separates human beings from animals, and that part of the brain which is damaged or inoperable in psychopaths, as the enemy, and any dark urge coming from the emotional programs of the subconscious as being "spiritual" is jaw droppingly wrong.

The use of the term "The Way" is totally fiendish. "The Way" referred, in ancient times, to the inner secrets of the Mystery religions which influenced the formation of Gnosticism and some forms of early Christianity. These were groups of individuals who worked to know themselves, to master their emotions, who aspired to higher thought and Truth as the ultimate ideals; Plato was a follower of "The Way." Some of these mystery religions were co-opted by psychopaths and turned into wild frenzies such as the religions that worshipped Bacchus and Dionysus leading to some pretty awful stuff. It looks like whoever is behind this seeks to open that hellish door again.

There is obviously quite a bit of money behind this - it is very slick and one of the best I've seen. Somebody did their homework. Even the reference to 90% of humanity NOT being "WaySeers" leads us back to that small percentage of psychopaths in the population.

Very scary stuff.

And the sad thing is that it has the potential to attract a lot of people who feel misunderstood, oppressed, alone...

A really good example of how the best lie is the one hidden between some truth.

:headbash:

The message I got from the video was "You're really really speshul! So super duper speshul..." Kind of like the modern Christian version of grace... No work required... If you just say the right words, your sins are all cashed out. Here... All you have to do is follow your super awesome cosmic non-intellectual reflexes. Yeesh...

It seems they are hungry and so are Looking for the Revolution of unconscious emotions in humans.
Indeed, there is not a better scenario for them than this one, they are encouraging.

Yeah I got a lot of "you're special" in it, and it seemed to be enforcing revolutions. I thought it was corny with the loudspeaker vocals, kind of like the corny "Real men of genius" beer commercials. But I think it may become popular among people who don't think critically and hop onto things like this.

Yep, it is more confirmation that they have a hook out for every type of sucker-fish that comes along!
Scary indeed!

My thoughts as well. Despite the production values behind it, it seemed very cheesy, and that guy's singing voice is awful. I suppose it's not that different than popular advertisements though...
