Dear Laura, whats going on?

Maybe I'm too overprotective about you, Laura, but I think about you every day and thinking what you doing and how are you. Even I don't know you in person for so long I can feel you always in back of my head. And in this kind of situation I would do anything to help you. :(
Maybe it is good idea that you occasionally post some things that you going through like you did just now.
This gave this thread totally new meaning.

I wish you fast recovery.

For those wondering what's going on with me, I had oral surgery this morning to clean out a chronically infected tooth root. Very unpleasant, but it was quick and painless with lots of novocaine. Now, novocaine is wearing off and pain pills are kicking in so I'll be taking it easy for a day or so. Obviously, liquid diet.

Dear Laura, I wish you all the best for a swift recovery, hope that you're back in the swing of things very soon. :hug2:

Oh gosh, I'm really sorry to hear that Laura. The unpleasant surgery was probably preceded by pain and discomfort, especially that the issue was serious enough to require the surgery!

Get well very soon!!!!! :hug2:

Exactly. A couple weeks of a terrible abcess, antibiotics that made me totally sick, etc. The whole thing had my entire auto-immune system up in arms and general misery ensued. But hopefully, this will begin the end of that nasty mess. I was able to persuade the dentist to use iodine when he packed the space with stuff that is supposed to harden into bone mass. So we'll see. Rinsing with colloidal silver and iodine solution periodically. I never want to go through that again. Poor Pierre and Chu went with me and Pierre nearly fainted. He said I was giving off super strong distress waves. Well, yeah!!!

Oh Laura, I remember my own wisdom teeth operation aftermath, and these were not infected. Maybe smoking will be hard too. Take good rest !

Sorry to hear about all this, Laura. Wishing you a short and pain free recovery. :hug2:

I'm sorry to hear about your tooth, Laura. I had to have a premolar taken care of last Wednesday which was apparently in danger of dying because the infection had come so close to the nerve. The first time I felt any discomfort was on November 9th, which was strange timing but probably coincidental. I had to wait several months for an appointment to have it checked out, and FWIW this was helpful for relieving the occasional sensitivity during that time:

I don't know if it would be useful in your situation, but thought I'd mention it just in case. I hope you feel better soon and don't have to repeat this experience again :hug2:

Really hope you feel better soon, Laura. Pain is distressing no matter what the cause. You are lucky to have an understanding dentist and so much love and care around you. Hoping the worst is over for you.

Ouch!! I hope you have a speedy recovery :hug2:

Also, that's really good that your oral surgeon could accommodate your request to use iodine. I can only imagine the kind of looks patients, here in the States, would get.

A couple of weeks of all this?? And yet you were active on the forum all this time, helping out, contributing and pointing us in the right direction. Not to mention tons of other stuff you have on your plate. Hats off Laura!!

Given what this specific thread has largely been about, I’ll risk an assumption that I’m not the only person here who now feels a tad sheepish for that slight tint of impatience accompanying the thought of when the next C’s session is going to be. :-[

I’m sending hugs to Pierre and Chu too, it’s so painful to see someone you care about suffer!

Having gone through something similar a couple of years back, I know of your plight Laura. Intimately.

May your recovery be as swift as mine then: just a couple of days for the aftermath.

Happy healing ! :flowers: :hug2:
