Doublespeak in the Modern Pathocracy

"God Bless America" - use of religion to justify America's actions; bringing together of religious, subjective 'blind faith' and confidence in one's 'democratically-elected' government, essentially creating a theocracy that is impervious to objective criticism. Also, assigning the ideals of Christianity to the country of America, creating and maintaining the illusion that since America is God-fearing and God-blessed, it must then follow those Christian ideals; such an illusion ignores any wrong-doing by American leadership and creates a veil and filter through which reality is distorted and thus mis-interpreted by the American public.

Extraordinary Rendition is an odd phrase. No, apparently the following is not the correct use of the phrase (for more reason than one, possibly): Joe performed an extraordinary rendition of "Baby, One More Time" at karaoke the other night. Let's look through some meanings of 'render' and see which works.

1. to cause to be or become; make: to render someone helpless.
2. to do; perform: to render a service.
3. to furnish; provide: to render aid.
4. to exhibit or show (obedience, attention, etc.).
5. to present for consideration, approval, payment, action, etc., as an account.
6. to return; to make (a payment in money, kind, or service) as by a tenant to a superior: knights rendering military service to the lord.
7. to pay as due (a tax, tribute, etc.).
8. to deliver formally or officially; hand down: to render a verdict.
13. to give in return or requital: to render good for evil.
14. to give back; restore (often fol. by back).
15. to give up; surrender.
17. to melt down; extract the impurities from by melting: to render fat.
18. to process, as for industrial use: to render livestock carcasses.

I'm still not sure who coined the phrase, and what it's actually supposed to mean. It's from the Latin "to give back." So if a Canadian is 'given back' to Egypt, to be tortured (or further 'rendered' according to definition 18), it must be quite an extraordinary rendition, if you've never even been to Egypt! Does anyone know what it is actually supposed to mean?

Terror Alert Level: The level of fear that should be felt by citizens.

The Price of Freedom: Measures taken in the guise of "protecting freedom" which actually diminish freedom.

Regime Change: A forceful and/or deceptive change of government by a foreign power.

Sharpshooter: One of "our" snipers.

Friendly fire: What happens when one of "our" snipers sharpshooters gets the wrong guy.

Then theres the whole Israeli soldiers deal being captured kidnapped in Lebanon Israel during a Israeli tank raid border skirmish.

I cannot find this statement in wikipedia though. My guess is that maybe it was there but was edited out later, but google cached it? Also, extradition makes more sense to me, rendition does seem like a really weird word to use. Wiki says it's a "euphamism" but it's not even that, it just makes no sense for any meaning of the word that I was ever familiar with (which excludes strictly "legal" meanings). However, wikipedia says that the "legal" definition is "rendition is a "surrender" or "handing over" of persons or property, particularly from one jurisdiction to another", which I was not familiar with, so if that is the case, then it is a euphamism. Although it is really "doublespeak" as the topic of this thread suggests, here's wiki's take on it which has some examples similar to some terms in this thread: en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Doublespeak

Hey SOTT team, you think it would be a good idea to include a whole section of the website like the glossary, and call it something like "Pathocratic Distortions and Corruptions of Language" or whatever, and basically include as many such terms as possible like the ones in this thread? I have a feeling that the list can grow to hundreds and even thousands of words, and has the potential to really benefit people to just read over it and get a sense of just how bad and deceptive the situation is with our Languages. Could start off with a couple of dozen entries and let it grow from there or something. Also would be awesome to have it in many languages, as some of this distortion is language-specific too and unique to certain "cultures" and "areas of the world" etc. What do you guys think?
 
Free Speech Zone - A (usually) wire enclosure in which human beings who wish to publicly voice their displeasure with the PTB are confined, which is set up at a enough of a distance from the representatives of the PTB to ensure the displeasure does not actually reach them. Free Speech Zones replaced Free Speech at the end of the the first term of the Bush Administration.
 
WMD's - A.) A pre-existing excuse to lay blame on a sovereign nation and prepare for an illegal invasion and occupation under the guise of liberation. Which turned out to be an excuse to pull together false data to incriminate an entire nation on the grounds they have weapons that were given to them by prior American Administrations.

B.) A made up myth to create reasons for war.

C.) A convenient reason to create war to find a so-called dictator to give him his 40 years of CIA back pay.

I don't have enough info to complete the following in short form:

biological-chemical-nuclear warfare - The greatest threat to mankinds possible continuance as a species outside internal, surface, weather related or solar system based catastrophy.
 
Intelligence: Secret information that only the government is privy to, that is used to justify the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of innocent people around the world without requiring any evidence or reason to do so (because the evidence and reasons are secret). Since there is no way to verify intelligence due to its secrecy, it can easily (and usually is) fabricated, and the proof of its fabrication usually comes after hundreds of thousands are dead and any number of sovereign nations are pillaged, raped, and destroyed. Also intelligence is used to justify removal of freedoms of citizens by the governments, to supposedly protect the security of the citizens. However, once again, there is absolutely no evidence at all that the security was ever compromised, because if any such evidence exists, it is secret. The government expects the population to have blind faith in its integrity, honesty, and selfless intentions.

Designed to deny the enemy the use of ground whilst in theater, more of a delaying tactic with chemical as protective clothing, time, knowledge of agent(s) used will only slow down the enemy's movements. Biological agents can be used for long-term tactics, exception to this is white phospherous known also as "Whiskey Pete", when you need to take out freedom fighters resisting invasion, accept no substitutes.

Theater - place of operations, term used to de-sensitise population to true extent of how dangerous the weapon is, also used portray yourself as the good guys taking out the big bad infection, see also "surgical strikes"

Depleted Uranium - used instead of lead in nosecones of shells etc to allow further penetration into enemy tank/installation; used also to contaminate the local area with low level radioactive dust which will create problems further down the line.
 
Mission accomplished - Were going to stay the course for the next few years in an illegal war we just accomplished. Anyone who says the mission is a failure is a terrorist.. cause your either with us or against us(?).

Some I've thought up for definition. And how it appears the U.S. defines them. I may be creating some duplicates of terms previously defined. I could think up a few, although partly funny facts, sadly true never the less for the following.
