Interesting comment about the lack of M7 earthquakes from forecaster Ditrianum on his most recent Youtube video - some notes i made from the 4 minute video are below, those of particular interest are in blue:

- Even with 'critical' planetary alignments earthquake activity is low, and if we look at the last 12 months of M7 quakes we should have had 12-15, 18 if earth is more active, but we only count 7, and most of them occurred last year, if we look at the last 6 months we've only had 2 which is really below average. It's been the trend since 2017, every year we've had about 6 months without an M7. Before 2017 we have to go back to 2004 to find such a gap between M7 quakes
- Because of this trend, we don't really know what's going on with the condition of the earth, or with the quake situation
- The borderline 6 quakes last week were due to the lunar geometry (except for Vanuatu)
- Next alignment June 1st which is Sun-Mars-Saturn
- Next 3 weeks of geometry is critical - 2nd or 3rd week particularly (although due to the nature of the situation, it's hard to predict). "A few weeks ago we explained in a video that the positions of the outer planets are causing increasingly higher lunar peaks (LG). These peaks will be at their height in the first three weeks of June. The combination with planetary peaks (PG) in the first two weeks make that time-frame quite critical with a high probability of increased seismic activity."

As if on cue were starting to see these. Good call @itellsya

You are right. Don't think I ever recall an EQ notification there and I've been getting them for quite a number of years now.

Below are some possible explanations, mainly focused on maps of the tectonic plates:
On Earthquake info : M5.0 earthquake on Friday, 5 June 2020 16:26 UTC / North of Svalbard (Greenland) - there was:

From a world map with also volcanoes added: Interactive Map of Active Volcanoes and recent Earthquakes world-wide (Also updated so the image is changing) At the time of posting there was:
1591431812360.png
The two plate lines at the top of the map meet, as one can see on this map from List of tectonic plates - Wikipedia
1591432712507.png
There are some technical explanations below the map. The second to the left gives the meaning of the arrows. Along the Mid-Atlantic rift the movements appear to be faster in the South Atlantic. Maybe that is also why there is less activity in the North, although considering Iceland it may sometimes be felt more.
In 2017 there was a 10 km deep 5.7 Magnitude event.
Twin earthquakes rock North Pole - Seismos detect across entire North Hemisphere

One coincidence with the quake yesterday, was that it happened on the same day as the Danish Day of Constitution. Greenland is part of the Danish Realm, but is placed on the same plate as North America. The coincidence of this quake, which if it was natural was basically an expression of Greenland moving west, with the friendly messages through the US Embassy in Copenhagen from both president Trump and the Secretary of State, may be a hint of changes. For context, last year the US expressed the wish (again) to buy Greenland, this was refused by the Danish PM and by local and global MSM used as an opportunity to ridicule Donald Trump. Behind the lines there seems to be a different story going on, and it has continued with concrete initiatives during or under the Corona media cover. The US will this year open a consulate after a pause of 67 years, there will be a "coffee corner" at the local university as well as other initiatives. Greenland is moving away in more ways than one.
