UPDATE FOR M7.2 HAITI EQ: With the availability of more data, we have updated the ShakeMap for the M7.2 earthquake that occurred in Haiti earlier today. This has modified the projections of the ground failure and PAGER estimates.

Last week saw a flurry of big earthquakes as reported by others above, the biggest being a M8.1 in the South Sandwich Islands (South Atlantic Ocean). Apart from this there were also 3 M7 (S. Sandwich Isl., Philippines and Haiti) and 4 M6.
In the usual area, there was 1 (M6.9 in Alaska) out of 213 earthquakes worldwide equal to or greater than 4.5 and 1776 out of 2476 quakes of all sizes.

EMSC reports Croatia has had 8 quakes in 53 hours, with the largest at M4.7 - interesting considering the M6.4 in December. Also of note is an M5 in Georgia.

It was felt alright here in Croatia, about 40km from epicentre. I wake up but after it did not felt it and went back to sleep, must have been unconscious reflex, but there was a storm and strong thunders and downpour that got my attention after my wake up and sister from floor above came to ask if we felt it because she is sensitive to it and it is felt more higher. And these days temp was 36-38 celsius today is 18-19 celsius. Think that the biggest threat here and the generally worst, because there is no warning and you can lose everything, is from the earthquakes and probably in the near future there are more bigger to come.
 
Earthquake Report past 24 hours, there were 4 quakes of magnitude 5.0 or above, 39 quakes between 4.0 and 5.0, 111 quakes between 3.0 and 4.0, and 254 quakes between 2.0 and 3.0.

There were also 455 quakes below magnitude 2.0 which people don't normally feel.
