Eric Pepin - Higher Balance Institute - Discussion

PepperFritz said:

Actually, Pepin never admitted to being a pedophile. In court, Pepin had to admit to having sex with the plaintiff due to video-taped evidence of the act. From the reports I have read, the main reason Pepin wasn't found guilty of having sex with a minor was because the video (purportedly showing Pepin and another HBI associate engaging in sex with the alleged seventeen-year-old plaintiff) did not have a date stamp on it to prove conclusively that the plaintiff was underaged at the time of the recording. If a date stamp reflected the plaintiff's age as being under eighteen, the case might have had an entirely different outcome.

Of course, there is evidence of Pepin admitting to having sex with young (not underaged) HBI students, using the claim that such an act ("crossing the abyss") is for their spiritual growth. (Yeah, and I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell...;) )

You could say that the Eric Pepin trolls invaded and violated our right to create a forum and discuss what we want to discuss, think what we want to think, and essentially, our right to free speech and freedom of association with those we choose to associate with.
Unbelievable. This means that Eric Pepin's people have from the get-go manipulated Internet stats and search engines, by trolling around and creating lots of noise with the words "Pepin" and "HBI" thrown in there.

Apparently, there is not enough meaningful content associated with the whole Higher Balance venture, that they feel they have to resort to such underhand dealings.

That enewschannel thing that you Andrei had quoted -- that's part of the same business. It's written by Pepin, self-published by him on send2press site on February 19th, and spread from there. Pepin did it about 2 weeks before serving SOTT with a lawsuit.

This is his own account of what happened; in other words, this is not an independent investigation or evidence presented by an unbiased third party. It isn't (even) mainstream journalism.

This is simply what Pepin wants to tell the world right now, as he is instituting a clean sweep of all the dirt on him that spilled out during his trial.

He must have thought that by serving SOTT with the lawsuit he will contain the information on its forum pages. The oposite has happened, however: there is more talk about it than ever before.

And another thing: the only people who are NOT afraid to have their name mentioned in any way, as long as it
is spelled right -- like Laura said above -- are those WHO HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE.

Judging by his actions, Pepin doesn't seem to be one of them.

Exactly - and judging from Pepin's history, his word about 'what happened' is worthless. The article itself is embarrassingly self-promoting and slanted and was obviously released in an attempt to control information. Note that almost all of the websites that were formerly carrying the Pepin sex abuse story BEFORE it was even brought up here have been scrubbed clean - how convenient. (lucky for cached copies and having the information saved on hard drives all over the globe)

Master Eric writes a story about himself, trying to create his own reality by fiat, and releases that, in hopes that it would end up as the only story on the subject, online. Well, guess what - it backfired. Funny how pathological thinking is incapable of seeing any outcome other than the one they want - wishful thinking will getcha every time.

No matter the outcome of the suit - Master Eric has ensured that his sexual predation remains a matter of public record.

I think it's also quite important to note that at no time did anyone on this forum even suggest that those who follow Master Eric don't have the right to do just that - even those who came here to this forum with an agenda and breaking forum rules. The only object of the discussion - as with all forum discussions - is to discover the objective truth about the situation and nothing more.

Had Master Eric not filed this frivolous lawsuit, the matter would have stayed settled on these pages, as have many other discussions on faux spiritual gurus. No one is saying people don't have the right to follow the faux spiritual guru of their choice - but we are most certainly saying that the facts speak for themselves and no amount of wishful thinking can change that - and that all members of this and every forum on the internet have the right to express those facts and discuss them to their satisfaction.

"Get the ball rolling"?

Huh?

Im pretty sure you got the ball rolling a long time ago when you decided to make claims about Eric and the organization. Take some responsibility and face the courts, that is if you believe you have done nothing wrong. This mans life was subjected to absolute hell for well over a year because people wanted to profit.

I believe the court ruled he was not guilty because of insufficient evidence to prove he ever did anything wrong.
It seems Andrei is deeply emotionally invested in Eric Pepin.

This issue Andrei has morphed into much more than is poor Mr. Eric Pepin a victim or not. We now have an issue of whether or not you and I and anyone else on the Internet, at your local coffee house, out at a restaurant, anywhere in public and possibly anywhere in private, whether you and I can publicly and openly discuss what is published in mainstream newspapers and media without the threat of intimidation and lawsuits held over our heads with every word we speak.

I think the question is going to boil down to whether the discussion here was unreasonable, was there malicious intent to defame, was this just a case of cyber-bullying, out to get poor Mr. Pepin.

Let's look at what the Mainstream media publicly published and how it was under discussion here.

"Two Aloha men arrested on sex-abuse charges"

by Holly Danks

Hillsboro, USA - A 39-year-old Aloha man who promises spiritual awakening through meditation books and CDs he sells on the Internet is facing sex-abuse charges.

Beaverton police Detective Mike Smith said Eric J. Pepin runs what appears to be a cult out of his Higher Balance Institute on Southwest Second Street in Beaverton.

Pepin was arraigned Tuesday in Washington County criminal court on one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, and four counts of third-degree sexual abuse. He was released after posting $26,750 cash, or 10 percent of $267,500 bail. A trial was set for Sept. 12.

Using a child in a sexual display is a Measure 11 crime punishable by a mandatory minimum of 5 years and 10 months in prison.

Jamison Dwight Priebe, 21, who works for Pepin and lives at the same address in the 19600 block of Southwest Cooperhawk Court in Aloha, also was arrested on one count each of using a child in a sexual display and third-degree sexual abuse.

Priebe and Pepin turned themselves in at the Washington County Jail last week after a grand jury handed down secret indictments. Priebe was released after posting $25,375 cash bail and is awaiting arraignment Monday.

Smith said a man who is now 20 was 17 and working for Pepin when he allegedly was sexually abused at the Higher Balance office in the 11900 block of Southwest Second Street in Beaverton and at Pepin's former home in the city.

A call to the Higher Balance Institute on Wednesday was answered by a "Personal Star Reach Coach," who referred questions to Pepin's private attorney, Sam Kauffman.

"The charges are false, and we are confident Mr. Pepin will be exonerated," Kauffman said.

Pepin's Web site claims he has located more than 100 missing persons and runaways, along with U.S. Navy submarines, through a psychic ability he calls "remote viewing."

Pepin's meditation systems, which sell for $79 to $149, help customers develop their "sixth sense" and apply it "inward to awaken a dimensional universe within the mind," the Web site says.

According to an affidavit Smith filed with a request for a search warrant, the alleged victim told police that Internet customers who rave about Pepin's teachings are men and women usually older than 35. But, the man said Pepin told him he should recruit "good-looking men" between the ages of 18 and 24 to work for him.

The court record also says Pepin knew the man was 17 when he forced him to perform sex acts.

The boy, Smith wrote, "was taught by Pepin to believe that the sexual contact was only a spiritual necessity." But after a while, the affidavit says, the boy decided he was being used by Pepin, who bought him meals and paid him $200 after sex.

The man contacted Beaverton police in January.

Smith said anyone who may have had underage sexual contact with Pepin should call him at 503-526-2280.

Smith said the man accusing Pepin told police he met one of Pepin's followers at Beaverton Town Square in April 2004. He told Smith the recruiter invited him to meet Pepin and see him demonstrate levitation.

Pepin introduced himself dressed in a robe emblazoned with the words "Master Eric" and a triangular symbol and told the victim to take off his shirt, the detective said.

"It's a cult," Smith said, "anytime you have a guy who fancies himself as the master, the leader."
Oregon police say man abused teen in cult-like operation

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - A 39-year-old man who had a robe with the words "Master Eric" and claimed that a psychic ability called "remote viewing" helped him locate runaways has been accused of sexually abusing a teenager, police said.

Police said the victim was 17 when a follower of Eric J. Pepin recruited him in 2004, and then Pepin had him perform sex acts.

Pepin and an employee, Jamison Priebe, 21, who lives at the same address as Pepin in Aloha, surrendered on charges of using a child in a sexual display and sexual abuse. A grand jury issued indictments last week.

"The charges are false, and we are confident Mr. Pepin will be exonerated, " said his attorney, Sam Kauffman.

Under Oregon law, using a child in a sexual display carries a minimum penalty of nearly six years in prison.

Beaverton police Detective Mike Smith said Pepin operated the Higher Balance Institute in Beaverton. Smith said the ornate robe emblazoned "Master Eric" turned up during a search.

Leader of Washington County Internet company acquitted of sex abuse

HILLSBORO -- A Washington County Circuit judge called the leader of a metaphysical Internet sales company manipulative and controlling and his testimony unbelievable, even as he acquitted him today of charges that he had sex with an underage boy.

Judge Steven L. Price, after a five-day trial without a jury, found Eric James Pepin, 40, not guilty of two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, four counts of third-degree sexual abuse and one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

Also acquitted of third-degree sexual abuse and using a child in a pornographic display was Jamison Dwight Priebe, 21, who has worked for Pepin's Higher Balance Institute since he was 18.

"Everybody has stood by me who knows me," Pepin said today.

However, Price said it was "probable that the conduct alleged in all counts occurred," but he wasn't convinced beyond a reasonable doubt.

The accuser testified Pepin had him take off his shirt the first day they met at Pepin's Beaverton home in April 2004. He said Pepin asked him how old he was the first day they met and that he told him the truth.

But within days the two were having sex, including a three-way encounter with Priebe, the youth testified. Pepin called it "crossing the abyss," the accuser said, "surrendering yourself to your teacher, your master."

Stephen A. Houze, Pepin's private defense attorney, called the accuser a liar more than 100 times in his closing argument and noted that Pepin was "the perfect patsy" because society wants to believe the worst of a gay man.

Institute leader acquitted of sex charges

HOLLY DANKS - HILLSBORO -- A Washington County Circuit judge called the leader of a metaphysical Internet sales company manipulative and controlling and his testimony unbelievable, even as he acquitted him Wednesday of charges that he had sex with an underage boy.

"Everybody has stood by me who knows me," Pepin said Wednesday after hugging supporters. "They had faith in me, prayed for me. I told them I wouldn't let them down. I did nothing of what was alleged. I've been nothing but honorable and impeccable."

However, Price said it was "probable that the conduct alleged in all counts occurred," but he wasn't convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. "There's a lack of strong corroboration," such as a date-stamp on a videotape of the sexual encounter, the judge said.

The accuser testified Pepin had him take off his shirt the first day they met at Pepin's Beaverton home in April 2004.

"He was going to try and fix my energy and he needed me to trust him," the accuser said. Pepin touched the teen's "chakra points" on his heart, head and lower abdomen.

"Eric asked me to tell him everything I had done in my life that I was ashamed about," the teen added.

The accuser said Pepin asked him how old he was the first day they met and that he told him the truth.

"He said students had to be 18 because he didn't like parents fussing around," the accuser said.

But within days the two were having sex, including a three-way encounter with Priebe, the youth testified. Pepin called it "crossing the abyss," the accuser said, "surrendering yourself to your teacher, your master."

Pepin testified he is gay and has had sexual relationships with most of his 11 employees, but not before they were 18. Pepin said he gave his accuser a job, even though the teen was a poor worker, and continued to be intimate with him and give him money after he was fired, to help him out.

Stephen A. Houze, Pepin's private defense attorney, called the accuser a liar more than 100 times in his closing argument and noted that Pepin was "the perfect patsy" because society wants to believe the worst of a gay man. Houze said the accuser brought the charges because he wanted to shake down Pepin.

Pepin's Higher Balance Institute, now on Northwest Saltzman Road in Cedar Mill, reached an annual high of $2 million in Internet sales of meditation CDs, tapes and books before his arrest in July.

Pepin touts himself as a psychic and "remote viewer" who has found lost submarines and missing people, and says he created the "psychic pill" Magneurol6-S that enhances brain function, heals nerve damage, heightens paranormal experiences and relieves stress for $79 a bottle.

Andrew Erwin, deputy district attorney, called Higher Balance nothing more than a sex cult run by a "snake oil" salesman who preys on the troubled.

The accuser had nothing to gain by going to police and turned down $250,000 from Pepin to drop the sex charges, Erwin said.

"I'm disappointed," Erwin said of the verdicts. "The judge wants proof beyond all doubt and that's too high a standard."

Internet psychic found not guilty of sex abuse
By Kurt Eckert

Two Aloha men were found not guilty of sex abuse when a Washington County Circuit judge said the prosecution failed to prove they used psychic snake oil to lure a 17-year-old boy into sex.

Eric James Pepin, 40, and Jamison Dwight Priebe, 21, left the courtroom as free men following the verdict handed down by Judge Steven L. Price Wednesday.

Pepin's attorney, Steve Hauze, said Chris Young, who is now 20, was simply looking for an easy payday. Pepin runs a multi-million dollar company called Higher Balance Institute, which promises spiritual awakening through vitamins, meditation and CDs he sells on the Internet.

Deputy District Attorney Andrew Erwin said the fact the company sells highly unscientific products to the public speaks to the believability of the defendant's testimony. Priebe is a Higher Balance employee who lives with Pepin in a home in the 19600 block of Southwest Cooperhawk Court.

Pepin testified Tuesday that he is gay and had sex with several of his male employees. He said he knew Young was underage when he hired him around March of 2004. He acknowledged a sexual relationship, but was adamant it occurred months after Young's 18th birthday.

Pepin testified he has a penchant for helping young people in trouble, but is very careful about who he sleeps with.

Young said he met Priebe at a Starbucks, and within days was in the Higher Balance offices on Southwest Second Street in Beaverton. Investigators said the company appeared to be "cult-like" and said Pepin introduced himself dressed in a robe emblazoned with the words "Master Eric." Young testified that Pepin touched him sexually, and spoke of "crossing the abyss," a term referring to a heterosexual man performing homosexual acts for spiritual enlightenment.

Priebe and Pepin both denied this ever happened. Videotape seized from a safe at Pepin's house showed Priebe, Pepin and Young in a three-way sexual act, but the defendants insisted it happened after Young turned 18. Using a child in a sexual display is a Measure 11 crime punishable by a mandatory minimum of 5 years and 10 months in prison.

Much of the testimony focused around a company camping trip to Mt. Hood in the late spring of 2004. Pepin acknowledged he shared a sleeping bag with Young because the young man hadn't brought any cold-weather gear. Young said the two had sex.

Pepin said he told Young to go sleep in the car, but the boy said he was freezing. He said they slept back-to-back, very cold because they couldn't zip up the sleeping bag.

Erwin also presented the testimony of Adam Alder, a California man who told a story similar to Young's. He said Pepin bamboozled him into sex when he was 16.

Erwin pressed Pepin to admit he gave breaks to Young, even though he was reportedly a bad employee. Young was a contract employee until his birthday in July of 2004.

"Despite the fact he was doing a terrible job, you decided to bring him in as a full-time employee on his 18th birthday?" Erwin asked. "You kept him on because you were having sex with him."

Judge Price gave his verdict after five days of testimony. He said he had problems believing Pepin or Priebe, but felt the state had not fulfilled its burden of proof. Videotaped evidence wasn't enough to prove underage sex, he said.

"I find it is probable that all of the conduct alleged occurred," Price said. "But I have no choice but to find the defendants not guilty on all counts."

Hauze said he didn't think it was ethical for a lawyer to comment on a judge's decision.

"We have the system we have," Hauze said. "The state utterly failed to prove the allegations."

Pepin said he didn't fear for his business because his customers and employees have stood by him throughout.

"I have been nothing but honorable and impeccable and I will continue to be," Pepin said.

Two Oregon men were found not guilty of sex abuse when the prosecution failed to produce evidence that they had used "psychic snake oil" to lure a 17-year-old boy into having sex.

Eric James Pepin, 40, and Jamison Dwight Priebe, 21, were acquitted by circuit court judge Steven L. Price on Wednesday.

Steven Hauze, Pepin's attorney, explained to the Hillsboro Argus that Chris Young, now 20, had been looking to make "easy money." Pepin owns the Higher Balance Institute, an Internet-based company that promises enlightenment through products and meditation techniques. The Web site states that the company mission is to provide "the tools and knowledge you need to empower yourself, to transform your life into something amazing, and to awaken to the wonder that lives within you."

Pepin testified Tuesday that he is gay and has had sexual relations with several of his male employees, reported the Hillsboro Argus. He said he was aware that Young was underage when he hired him in March 2004. While Pepin admitted a sexual relationship, he stated that it occurred after Young turned 18.

Pepin explained that while he has a desire to help young people in need, he is extremely careful about beginning sexual relations with them.

Young testified that he met Priebe at a Starbucks and was quickly hired by the Higher Balance Institute, according to the Argus. He said that Pepin made sexual advances and told him to "cross the abyss," a phrase referring to a straight man engaging in homosexual acts to achieve spiritual enlightenment.

Both Priebe and Pepin denied Young's allegations, although videotape seized from Pepin's house showed the three men engaged in explicit sexual acts. The defendants asserted it happened after Young's 18th birthday.

The verdict was released after five days of testimony. Judge Price admitted he had problems believing Pepin or Priebe but felt the state had not provided substantial evidence, reported the Argus. Videotape was not enough to prove underage sex, he explained of his decision.

"I find it is probable that all of the conduct alleged occurred," Price said to the Argus. "But I have no choice but to find the defendants not guilty on all counts." (The Advocate)
Now let's look at some specifics of what was published in the main stream media, that I think it is reasonable for reasonable ordinary people to be able to discuss.

Hopefully no one will get worked up because I have bolded some phrases or because I am being unfair and not putting up all the snippets of Mr. Eric Pepin and his counsel's statements. The point here is to show what was published in main stream media, what words were used, what people were freely able to read, that SHOULD be reasonable for average ordinary people to talk about.

Well Andrei a lot of the Excerpts I highlighted have a lot to do with the article you mention above.

Firstly the article mentioned above is put out by Eric himself probably via the Lawyers he hired specifically for this purpose. Internet Law attorneys that specialize in defamation advertise and promise clients exactly what you are reading above. And in many cases it is a useful service when used in its proper context when there has been real and actual maliciously intended slander published on the Internet.

Cyber Attack - Defamation

Lies are being told about companies every day on the web. Defamation of character and internet defamation are becoming commonplace. With the proliferation of Weblogs, anyone can say anything, and the next thing you know the major search engines have indexed it at the top of their results. As an internet defamation lawyer we can help you get the indexed results and website or blog that contains statements aimed at defamation of character removed from the search engine results, get the defamation on the Internet down, and flex the muscle of a seasoned defamation lawyer specializing in Internet litigation.

How often does internet defamation and related defamation of character happen? A lot more than you realize. Oftentimes the only way to know about it is to search the engines. Here is a sampling of the issues we have worked on as a defamation lawyer:

* A prominent online business was targeted on a weblog through internet defamation, and the posts escalated to the point that death threats were being made and a map to the company headquarters was posted. Google had indexed the blog in the first position whenever someone searched for our client.
* A small business was defamed by a competitor launching a website and going so far as to post a portion of the owner's credit report.

* A small business was defamed by a competitor launching a website and going so far as to post a portion of the owner's credit report.
* A world-renowned professional in a controversial subject matter found that a website was publishing false claims about him, damaging his reputation and credibility. Since he was often an expert commentator on TV, this was a significant problem that had to be addressed.

What does the above have to do with what is going on here? Well I think this is precisely what Mr. Eric Pepin is doing. He has hired a firm to clean the Internet of any and all references to his arrest and trial. He has hired a firm to remove any and all negative commentary about his arrest and trial.

Take a look at the PR release date of Eric Pepin's attempt to replace the content of the search engines.

http://www.send2press.com/mediadrome/2008-02-0219-003.txt

Notice the Date: Feb. 19, 2008

Now take a look at the Complaint:

Complaint

Go to the bottom of the complaint and look at the date:

DATED this 25th day of February, 2008.

This was targeted at SOTT from day one.

Now take a look at Mr. Eric Pepin's self published send2press release.

Do you notice any psychological techniques being used?
Do you notice any designs in the send2press release that are purposefully intended to target search engines?

How about the fact that the send2press article feigns release from "HILLSBORO, Ore."
The reason the send2press release begins with "HILLSBORO, Ore." is so that it looks like the main stream media releases put out by the real newspapers "The Portland Oregonian" and the "Hillsboro Argus", as most of their coverage was by-located from Hillsboro. Also it is designed so that a wide and deep dissemination of this by send2press to all of its node affiliates along with the other key words - "Eric Pepin", "Jamison Priebe", "Sex Charges", etc., etc., will create enough target sites carrying it on the Internet so that it replaces anything previously cataloged in the search engines with these target words. Namely it is Cyber Psychological manipulation. Further the send2press release looks like an official main stream media article which it is not. Anyone can use their services. And NO, the validity of releases do not have to have a shred of truth in them. I am not implying that Mr. Eric Pepin's self published account of what happened does not have any truth in it. I am pointing out though that this service can be used and is used for vanity purposes, marketing, as well as for lawyers and attorneys and politicians, you name it, to spread their SPIN of reality into the Cyber World. It is a tool. It can be used for good or for bad. It is OK for Mr. Eric Pepin to use this service. It is OK for him to put out his story.

But Andrei, know what you are reading. Know what it is. Read the send2press document -

"NEWS SOURCE: Eric Pepin"

Read over Mr. Eric Pepin's self published send2press release very carefully and you will see all kinds of psychological manipulations and you and me are the targets.

Here's one such manipulation -

Deputy district attorney Andrew Erwin struggled to build the state’s case around three conflicting accounts the accuser, Chris Young, who is now 21, gave to police.
Eric Pepin makes sure to point out "Chris Young, who is now 21". Why do you think Eric Pepin does that? It kind of does not even fit in the flow. Well it is subtle projection to replace in your mind "The court record also says Pepin knew the man was 17 when he forced him to perform sex acts. And to replace in your mind this, "Pepin was arraigned Tuesday in Washington County criminal court on one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct"

It is there purposefully. Eric Pepin wants to make sure that everyone knows this man is 21. Forget that the charges were for when the plaintiff was 17 and a child. Eric wants to make sure that child is replaced with man. That 17 is replaced with 21. It is a strategic inclusion probably specifically designed by his lawyers.

One of the things you should have noticed right off the bat is that Mr. Eric Pepin's self published account of things utilizing send2press is all full of fluffy goodness about Mr. Eric Pepin. It is all full of indirect quotes (not direct quotes as in the Argus and Oregonian) and these indirect quotes are from the prosecutor and witnesses. All good and tasty. 90% of the direct quotes are from Eric Pepin himself and his lawyer.

I have news for you Andrei, for all we know every word of what you read in Mr. Eric Pepin's self published send2press release could be lies and the fact is if it is lies they will probably get away with it because Pepin and his lawyers have made sure that Eric Pepin's self published account of things is the last word on the case and you will never be able to find out if what Eric Pepin says in it is true or not. Eric Pepin and his Lawyers made sure of this as part of the plan for putting out the send2press release and as part of the lawsuit directed at this site. They took care of things premeditatedly. It was a trap laid out very carefully and with purpose.

Now use your thinking abilities here Andrei. Read Mr. Eric Pepin's self published send2press release again.

Notice this:

Mr. Eric Pepin's self published send2press release said:

** This is Eric Pepin directly quoting himself:

"One article claimed I said I've had sex with my employees. I never said anything close to that. I told the truth. I've had relationships with 3 people who are now employees. All of them long before they were hired. I'm very loyal and stay close to people in my life. Maybe a relationship doesn't work out; it doesn't mean we can't remain friends. Better to have a friend for life than push people away for pride or your own hurt."

** This is Eric Pepin in-directly quoting himself:

The article also said a videotape was seized at Pepin's house showing Pepin, Priebe and Young in a three-way sexual act. Detectives testified to the opposite stating no videotape, pictures or any proof was ever found showing Pepin, Priebe and Young in any sexual act and that no evidence was ever seized indicating any crime had occurred. The article went on to state Alder testified he had sex with Pepin when he was 16, the opposite of his testimony.

** This is Eric Pepin directly quoting himself:

"I don't know how they can print some of these things but that's why I've been silent so long. There have been so many wrong facts reported by the media it's hard to say anything because you're worried how it will be twisted," Pepin said.
If you notice here, Mr. Eric Pepin both Directly and In-Directly makes the accusation that the main stream newspapers - The Oregonian and the Hillsboro Argus, Holly Danks and Kurt Eckert, Mr. Eric Pepin says they intentionally libeled him. That they intentionally lied and fabricated information and published it in the public domain.

Think Andrei, think. Why is not Mr. Eric Pepin suing The Oregonian, the Hillsboro Argus, Kurt Eckert, Holly Danks? Why? These are businesses worth millions and even 100's of millions of dollars. If it is true and the papers lied, committed libel, defamed, told untruths about Mr. Eric Pepin, well it would certainly be a walk in the park to prove it and Mr. Eric Pepin would get tens of millions of dollars.

Think Andrei, think. Why is Mr. Eric Pepin suing instead Laura and this site for publicly discussing what was put into the mainstream media by The Oregonian, The Hillsboro Argus, Holly Danks and Kurt Eckert? Why? Mr. Eric Pepin is plain outright calling the papers and journalists liars above. Holly Danks and Kurt Eckert of The Oregonian and The Hillsboro Argus are liars according to Mr. Eric Pepin. Who is telling the truth Andrei? Does it add up? Does it make any sense to you at all?

Right now Mr. Eric Pepin's lawyers are continuing to clean the NET. I suspect Google has word filters on its cache to block even cache articles with target search words containing Eric Pepin and the older media articles.

Think Andrei, think.

This is the crux of the matter here Andrei.

Eric Pepin and Jamison Priebe were accused of criminal acts.

One count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct
Two counts of second-degree sexual abuse
Four counts of third-degree sexual abuse
Judge Steven L. Price is directly quoted as saying, it was "probable that the conduct alleged in all counts occurred,"

Judges do not say such things without reason and careful thought. Yes the Judge found Eric Pepin and Jamison Priebe not guilty. But the Judge made sure that it was "in the public record" what he thought. And what was that? it was "probable that the conduct alleged in all counts occurred,"

And the reaction to what the judge said from Eric Pepin's attorney,
Steven Hauze said he didn't think it was ethical for a lawyer to comment on a judge's decision.

If we in the public are led to believe that the Judge, even though he had to rule by law to find Eric Pepin not guilty, if we are led to believe that it was Judge Steven L. Price's appraisal after all the testimony, that it was "probable that the conduct alleged in all counts occurred,"

What does that mean?

The charges were -

One count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct
Two counts of second-degree sexual abuse
Four counts of third-degree sexual abuse
That means after all testimony, even though the judge had to rule not guilty, the judge's appraisal was that Eric Pepin and James Priebe were most probably guilty of:

One count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct
Two counts of second-degree sexual abuse
Four counts of third-degree sexual abuse

The Judge is basically saying he thinks Eric Pepin and Jamison Priebe should be in jail and registered as sex offenders. What definitions come to mind if "the conduct alleged in all counts occurred" - grooming a minor for personal sexual exploitation? Well sexual predator comes to mind and because this was a minor at the time of the alleged acts, if the judge is correct in his appraisal that it is probable that "the conduct alleged in all counts occurred", then the pedophile word is entirely appropriate.

The judge can say it in his way and make sure it is in the public record even though he has to find them not guilty. But we here can not talk about it. We can not actually say certain words even though the judge expressly made sure that this is exactly what his thoughts were.

One more thinking task Andrei. Why do you think it is that Eric Pepin and Jamison Priebe chose to not have a jury trial? There is nothing wrong with it, it is Eric Pepin's right to have his trial in front of a jury or only directly with the judge. But once again it was strategic by his lawyers to keep him out of jail. Think Andrei, think.

...pfft... and yet you still try to slate him with the title "MASTER" on your home page? In order to make him look like a cult leader of some sort.

Pathetic.

And you still allow for your site moderators to make such claims

"Yes, it's the oldest story in the book - spiritual predators using sex for control and exploitation and masking it as a 'spiritual practice'. Sickening, really"

Im a student, been one for 3 years. I am happy and have no intention in doing harm to others. Unlike yourselves.

Its sad to know that people such as you have to learn the hard way. I only wish you will learn from your mistakes.

Goodluck.

Andrei.
Andrei you have no idea what the world faces or what it is capable of. There is "intention" and there is "intended harm" in what is transpiring here and you are proof of how successful the programming is and whether you have any clue of it or not you are one of its main targets just like all of us here.

The reason I stated that we will never know whether Eric Pepin is lying in his self published send2press release is that I called the Washington County Records office a few days ago and tried to obtain the Audio CDs for the case and after two days they returned my call and informed me that the case has been "set aside". Meaning Eric Pepin and his lawyers had the records expunged from the public record.

The clerk who informed me was Justin Riel. Justin also informed me that the last time the records office produced the CDs for someone was in September of 2007.

If anyone on the Internet has a copy of these Trial Transcript CDs, and someone does, please contact SOTT.net.

WOW. Talk about a clean sweep.

More than that, I think. It looks like this guy has some high level backing. Most people can't do a scrubbing operation. Just let an average person get major newspapers and courts to remove records. Bush did it, but he had to have a lot of help from his father and friends. And his father was head of the CIA, for crying out loud.

So the question is why does a low level operator like Pepin get high level help? The sequence of events in Laura's post should make this clear.

Swell!
Was CD transcript seized by Pepin's lawers a unique one? There should be master-copies in court archives. Christ11, did you ask about these too?

Is it viable that QFG verbalizes a pledge to come into possession of a Pepin court transcript for standing?

Contact ??
- Beaverton police Detective Mike Smith
- Judge Steven L. Price (could he be in a possession of a copy of a transcript or help obtaining one?)
- Kurt Eckert, Argus
- Holly Danks, Oregonian

Then,
Irreducible constitutional minimum” of standing requires:
(1) that the plaintiff have suffered an “injury in fact” – an invasion of a judicially cognizable interest which is
(a) concrete and particularized and
(b) actual or imminent, not conjectural or hypothetical;
(2) that there be a causal connection between the injury and the conduct complained of – the injury must be fairly traceable to the challenged action of the defendant, and not the result of the independent action of some third party not before the court; and
(3) that it be likely, as opposed to merely speculative, that the injury will be redressed by a favorable decision

Pepin - Attorneys will have to prove this.

Actually more i let my monkey mind to delve into this 'case', 'greener' and 'greener' it appears to be, especially considering blonde fatale Renee Rothauge swimming on the surface of it.

It really looks like Pepin's crew worked hard enough to slean sweep internet.

BUT: what if to manually track his 'spiritual' retreats like the one in Hawai - speak with barmen, hotel room keeping personal, locals there - something could come up. If someone who is locally surfing Hawai ican be up to it of course. However this private detectiving is worlds apart from anything i assume sott is about.
Case in fact: among 'rules' of Mount Hood HBI 'spiritual' retreat one can read: 'refrain from physical intimacy'.
Well, was that said in one of moments when Master Eric had taken off his robe?

Hi Andrei.

Im pretty sure you got the ball rolling a long time ago when you decided to make claims about Eric and the organization.
The comments were made on the basis of articles which were published by the media. The articles were published because it is a matter of public interest if a man is accused of the things Pepin was accused of. Thus, the ball did not get rolling in this forum. The ball got rolling by the actions of Pepin himself and others.

Take some responsibility and face the courts, that is if you believe you have done nothing wrong.
That's easy to say when you don't have to spend around $100,000 just for the legal defense.

goindeep said:
This mans life was subjected to absolute hell for well over a year because people wanted to profit.
Well, he obviously didn't suffer that much because now he doesn't mind revisiting the issue and spreading it again throughout the web and media so that he can profit as much as he can from the owners of this forum.

goindeep said:
I believe the court ruled he was not guilty because of insufficient evidence to prove he ever did anything wrong.
I believe that the only thing that the court could not prove without a doubt was that the accuser was 17 at the moment of engaging in sex with Pepin. Other than that, as a man who has admitted to have had sex with most of his staff, I would say that it is well established that Pepin is a sexual predator rather than a spiritual teacher.

These are the master records, this is the court archives. And it is Eric Pepin's right to have this done. By law anyone acquitted can ask that the records be expunged from their record, no matter if it is DUI or some greater offense. And as far as a scrubbing operation and what it takes, it basically requires money and a lawyer willing to do it, regardless of merit. It probably goes on all the time.

It is however hilarious how Eric Pepin and his counsel operated. You can see the scheming, the timing, the targeting, the INTENT.

Why would Eric Pepin and counsel put out the send2press release with the Case number in it, as if someone could actually get the public record, and at the same time put into process the expungement?

Lots of things do not make sense. Why would Eric Pepin's counsel allow him to say the things in the send2press release about that there never was a tape -

Eric Pepin's self published send2press release said:
The article also said a videotape was seized at Pepin's house showing Pepin, Priebe and Young in a three-way sexual act. Detectives testified to the opposite stating no videotape, pictures or any proof was ever found showing Pepin, Priebe and Young in any sexual act and that no evidence was ever seized indicating any crime had occurred.
How is that possible?

The Oregonian - May 24 said:
By Holly Danks
Institute leader acquitted of sex charges

However, Price said it was "probable that the conduct alleged in all counts occurred," but he wasn't convinced beyond a reasonable doubt. "There's a lack of strong corroboration," such as a date-stamp on a videotape of the sexual encounter, the judge said.
The Hillsboro Argus - Friday said:
Internet psychic found not guilty of sex abuse
By Kurt Eckert
The Argus

Videotape seized from a safe at Pepin's house showed Priebe, Pepin and Young in a three-way sexual act, but the defendants insisted it happened after Young turned 18. Using a child in a sexual display is a Measure 11 crime punishable by a mandatory minimum of 5 years and 10 months in prison.

Judge Price gave his verdict after five days of testimony. He said he had problems believing Pepin or Priebe, but felt the state had not fulfilled its burden of proof. Videotaped evidence wasn't enough to prove underage sex, he said.
Well either Holly Danks and Kurt Eckert who covered the story are big fat liars OR Eric Pepin is and his counsel is complicit in the fact.

Which is it?

No one will ever know with the Audio Tapes expunged. How nice of Eric and his Lawyers to put that little tidbit of information "the Case Number - #C061748CR" in Eric Pepin's self published send2press release.

And why aren't these people (newspapers and journalists) being sued? It makes no sense.

And by the way why isn't RickRoss being sued and attacked? Guruphiliac appears to have been intimidated into taking down all his/her discussion on the topic. But RickRoss the self professed cult buster seems safe as pie. Very interesting. Maybe it is because Manny Otto managed that board like a piece of silly putty and directed the topic to Eric Pepin's satisfaction OR ???

I find it hilarious the piece of work Manny Otto (heart) performed over on Rick Ross. Those people had no idea Manny actually had a vested interest in Eric Pepin and was or is under contract with Eric. What a piece of work. The psychological methodologies at work here and under Eric Pepin's influence or through Eric Pepin are some of the finest examples I have seen of ponerization of society and seeing what this reality is made of and who controls it.

Eric Pepin should change his last name to Bush.

Does anyone find it funny that a man who can remotely view and have all kinds of amazing psychic skills and teach the population of the world how they can have them too, how it was possible that someone he worked with in the flesh and blood, face to face, in real time reality, how Eric Pepin could not see it coming, could not see this case (that he was acquitted of), could not see this young man turning on him. I guess Eric Pepin hasn't listened to all his own material yet.

Oh, yeh. Wasn't it rich how Eric Pepin even plugged himself and his Psychic Guru business in his self published send2press release? How proud to be an American. I want to throw up.

Just trying to answer this for myself. Would it be so Eric Pepin and Jamison Priebe would not have to face a public court trial.. the camera's, newspersons etc..?

What I don't follow is, as several questions of yours asked, why go after sott.net? As you (christx11) posted, those news outlets have mega money/assets, why signs of the times?

Laura's post pointed out an interesting facts, "Things continued on for a bit, more trolls came, some were banned with their posts, and kept signing up under different identities, getting banned again, and so on. The Eric Pepin trolls were like popcorn."

Are the Comets and Catastrophes articles and the works of Clube and Napier touching on something and sott.net and Laura (you if your reading this) being targeted? Getting to close so certain forces by way of their ignorant lapdogs are being aroused against those searching for objectivity? Apologies if I'm getting side-tracked but there must be something unseen/undefined to this. Something underhanded.
