Events in Russia

In a striking conversation with Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova, veteran journalist Rick Sanchez says what many won’t: “The things I hear America say it wants to be—is what I see in Russia today.” The two discussed growing disillusionment with U.S. leadership, the West’s double standards, and the surprising optimism emerging around U.S.-Russia relations. Zakharova agrees, noting that for the first time in decades, the U.S. administration is being forced to acknowledge its own domestic crises. Is a new era of realism and accountability dawning in Washington?Watch this in-depth exchange on the shifting global narrative, the role of independent media, and why Moscow might be closer to American ideals than Washington itself.

“The things I hear America say it wants to be—is what I see in Russia today.”
Russia and the US have some shared history.
In this Video
The Arctic: Theater of War or Global Cooperation? A Canadian Patriot Film from Canadian Patriot Press, there is a news item from 1906:

The video is found in an article by Matthew Ehret A Canada Day Surprise: How a ‘Synthetic Nationalism’ Was Created to Break the US-Russia Alliance Jul 01, 2025
[...]
Ehret begins:
As I have recently written in my articles The Missed Chance of 1867 and the Truth of the Alaska Purchase, July 1st, 1867 was the day the British North America Act was established creating for the first time a confederacy in the Americas devoted to “maintaining the interests of the British Empire” (as our founding constitution makes explicit).

The motive for this 1867 confederation was driven by the British Empire’s burning fear of losing its valuable possessions in the Americas during the course of the Civil War when Britain’s “other confederacy” operation against Lincoln’s union was obviously going to fail. The fact that the U.S.-Russian alliance that saved the Union in 1863 and led into the sale of Alaska in 1867 would also usher in an inevitable growth of rail development through the Bering Strait connecting both civilizations was a prospect devoutly to be feared by the City of London.
As Lincoln’s ally and father of the trans continental railway Governor William Gilpin laid out in his 1890 book The Cosmopolitan Railway, a new paradigm of win-win cooperation governed by national credit driven by rail construction and industry would soon replace the archaic system of empire forever. This project had vast support from the leadership of both the USA and Russia- including Sergei Witte, and Czar Nicholas II.

The reason nothing came of this was that British Columbia was incorporated by the, yes, British, into Canada, thus the link between Alaska and the US was cut.

“The things I hear America say it wants to be—is what I see in Russia today.”

Haha, was going to post something related, but coming from the Russian side. "America" may be not aware of some important aspects Russia has to deal with.

Interesting posting on Telegram by Oleg Tsarev and Sergey Glaziev. Let's assume for now that Trump is not overestimated in relation to the "smart plan", its implementation, and - what's important - what he would do with it when succeeded.

Glaziev introducing his intended re-posting:

The curious analysis below. If the Fed works in the interests of the financially speculative oligarchy that sucks profits out of the American manufacturing sector, then the Central Bank leadership is manipulated by the IMF, which is a puppet of the US Treasury and the Fed. From our monetary authorities they demand freedom of cross-border capital movement, free floating of the exchange rate and suppression of ruble credit. As one of the Rothschilds used to say, in this case it does not matter who writes the laws in this country, since the management of money flows is in the hands of currency speculators.

Then he brings Tsarev's analysis:

"I have unwittingly destroyed my country," admitted US President Woodrow Wilson, who signed the law creating the Federal Reserve System in the United States. The Fed was created in 1913 as a unique hybrid of public and private institution. Its founders - major bankers led by Paul Warburg and Nelson Aldrich - held secret negotiations on Jekyll Island to develop a scheme to control the money issue.

The Fed's main paradox is its declared independence from government. The US President cannot fire the chairman, and Congress has not conducted a full audit for decades. This has created a ‘state within a state’ controlled by Wall Street.

The 2025 conflict has exposed an underlying rift: Donald Trump and his supporters see the Fed as an obstacle to US re-industrialisation. High rates make it more expensive to lend to businesses, and the $37 trillion national debt has become unsustainable. Their goal is to regain control of monetary policy.

For comparison and to understand the conditions under which the Russian economy operates, the US Fed key rate is kept between 4.25-4.5 per cent, while the Central Bank of Russia has a rate of 20 per cent per annum. Trump is demanding 1%, and otherwise, he says, the US economy will not grow.

On 26 June 2025, a crisis erupted: a leak in the Wall Street Journal revealed a plan to appoint a ‘shadow chairman’ of the Fed. The Trump administration, as they write, intends to announce a successor to the current head Jerome Powell as early as autumn 2025 - that is, 8 months before the end of his term. Trump's goal is to create a parallel centre of power and force Powell to make emergency rate cuts.

Trump is only going to announce a candidate to head the Fed. The nominee will only have real power after the US Senate approves him. Until the vote, the nominee will become a ‘shadow chief.’ He or she will publicly propose an alternative rate policy. The goal is to put pressure on the current Fed chief Powell. Formally, the nominee will have no authority.

The actual change in power will take place in May 2026. And the possible imminent announcement of a nominee to head the Fed is a tactical move to influence the Fed between nomination and confirmation.

The ‘shadow chairman’ strategy carries serious risks for globalists. Traders can ignore Powell's decisions by following the ‘shadow’ line. Globalists protect the status quo: the Fed ensures the dollar's role as the world's reserve currency. A loss of globalist control over the Fed would destroy their financial hegemony in the world.

The Fed also provides the globalists with political opportunities. Through loans to central banks (European Central Bank ECB, Bank of England), it supports financial hegemony that benefits transnational corporations. Today, thanks to the Fed's support, the EU is able to allocate money for the war to the Kiev regime. Europe has no free money of its own. With a flick of the hand, the tap could have been turned off. But no. The current head of the Fed, by lending to the ECB and the Bank of England, is actually funding the war in Ukraine.

On the day of the leak about Trump's plan, the Secret Service began erecting 2.4 metre high fences around the Fed building in Washington DC. These unprecedented security measures are a response to expected market turmoil. Historically, the Fed has never required physical protection from political interference. The fences around the Fed have become a symbol. Such measures have only appeared in crises: the 2020 protests, the 2024 election. Now they point to preparations for war with the ‘deep state.

The final confrontation will determine the fate of the dollar. If Trump implements the plan with the ‘shadow chairman’, the world can wait for a financial reset: cryptocurrencies of the states or a new BRICS currency. And the Fed, which has survived 12 presidents, is hiding behind walls for the first time in 111 years.

Next, Glaziev's comment again:

The management of the Bank of Russia is completing the strangulation of the economy. Instead of creating conditions for increasing investment lending, it has turned the banking system into a pump that siphons money from the real sector to the speculative sector and further abroad. The main function of the banking system - the transformation of savings into investment - has been transformed into the opposite function.

Wondering if it's not an exemplary case of the grass being greener elsewhere... From both sides, respectively. But while for America the situation may change even though it's not certain it's going to be for the better, Russia has a big problem right now and there are no signs of change emerging from over the horizon. The Iron Lady Elvira seems to be unstoppable.

Russian history has often been turbulent. There is also the difficulties associated with moving to 4D, including what may be going on below cities.

There are things "happening" under all cities.
Session 4 November 1995
(L) OK, let's ask. Is that the idea, that they're trying this there, and then move to the large cities for the same purpose? (J) Like trying it out in Boston...

A: No. Remember, you are moving to the density 4 anyway.

Q: (J) My question is, in the case of the New Mexico locality, is this a "contained" event?

A: Regional "blip".

Q: (J) OK, so it is contained, it would not spread. (T) Well, it's not big enough to spread. But it is bigger than what Santilli's buddies are messing with. (L) OK, is there anything happening under the cities of Buenos Aires, Washington and Paris? Along these lines?

A: There are things "happening" under all cities.

Q: (L) OK, I know you said "things", but I said along these lines.

A: Yes.
If there are some negative events happening in cities, including Russian, does this energy drain off through feeding tubes to 4D STS, in some cases based "under" these cities? There might be a relation between negatively influenced networks in such cities and 4D STS.

In an RT article: 1 Jul, 2025 12:42 This Russian radio signal might end the world. Scared? Maybe you should be, there is an interesting picture for this discussion of influences:

China's Plan to Invade Russia / (Not just a Prediction ?)

Lei's Real Talk covers a recent Chinese defection to Russia; one that presented Putin with contingency plans of invasion by China in the event of Putins demise during the Ukraine war. This is also to recapture historical Chinese territories annexed by Russia in 1856. China would invade Russia under the pretext to place Communists in power [or is it not all just about access to earth minerals]; for if they did nothing Western Europe could succeed in establishing a government in Russia that is alot more friendly with the West than China. Lei also covers a recently leaked Russian Document (verified by Western Intelligence) that shows the uneasy and suspicious air of mystery that surrounds China - Russian relations; their friendship not bound by brotherhood but shared necessity against the west. In the document Russia is said to have referred to China as 'the enemy'. Lei explores why China wants to keep the Russia - Ukraine War ongoing as way to exhaust America. She notes China has been examining and studying Western weapons found on the battlefield.

A shocking diplomatic defection has blown open Beijing’s secret strategy for a post-Putin world. We uncover a leaked CCP plan to divide Russia, seize Siberian territory, and use it as a launchpad for war over Taiwan. Xi Jinping's inner circle is in panic—scrambling to reassure Putin while hiding the truth from the world. From Wang Yi’s revealing remarks in Brussels to growing distrust between China and Russia, we break down how this geopolitical betrayal could reshape global alliances.

1. An update on CCP political rumor mills
2. A recent defection in Moscow
3. The CCP’s secret plan for post-Putin Russia
4. Putin’s response

Yuan Hongbing, a famous Australian legal scholar, recently revealed to the media that in late May this year, a senior official from China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, upset by upper-level suppression, defected to Russia with top-secret documents, directly seeking refuge with Putin. The documents exposed that the CCP had already prepared two plans in case the Russian regime collapsed during the war in Ukraine. It is said that Putin was furious upon seeing the documents and almost fainted.

The whispers of a Chinese invasion of Russia are of interest especially in light of past predictions/ prophecies which state that China would indeed invade Russia venturing as has far west as the Urals. Only for 'internationally banned' exotic black project weapons to be used as a last resort. The weapons drive the Chinese soldiers crazy they ran back to China. Русский Патриот covers this particular prophecy and much more- citing Otrok Vyacheslav (Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov aka Slava -Slavochka)

Gas prices in Russia vs. Hungary vs. Germany

In Russia fuel prices for cars and trucks is half compared to Hungary. Couple months ago prices in Hungary were in a 650 HUF range. Now fuel is down to 590 HUF (95) in Hungary, which you can get for 253 HUF (95) in Russia. Weirdly diesel was cheaper for decades, but now diesel is 607 HUF in Hungary, which costs 280 HUF in Russia. Weird. Middle-East wars subsided? Threats were in the news about stellar oil prices couple months ago. In Austria, West of Hungary, fuel prices about the same, little bit higher. In Germany diesel is 657 HUF.

Russian Supreme Court Outlaws ‘International Satanist Movement’

While international Satanist groups do exist — such as the Order of Nine Angles, which has been linked to far-right terrorism cases in the U.K. — the “International Satanist Movement” as defined by Russian authorities does not appear to exist.

The devil is in the details Russia just banned the non-existent ‘international Satanism movement.’ What are the real-world consequences?

July 24, 2025

On Wednesday, Russia’s Supreme Court banned yet another non-existent organization, declaring the so-called “international Satanism movement” an extremist group. This comes after a 2023 ruling outlawing the also fictional “international LGBT movement.” The Russian human rights group Department One examined the practical consequences of this latest decision and tried to suss out what now qualifies as “Satanist” under Russian law. Meduza summarizes their key findings here.

On July 23, Russia’s Supreme Court banned the non-existent “international Satanism movement,” designating it an extremist organization. The case was brought by the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Justice Ministry.

In its commentary, the Prosecutor General’s Office described the alleged movement as rooted in “extremist ideology, hatred, and hostility toward traditional religious denominations” and “closely linked to manifestations of radical nationalism and neo-Nazism.” Prosecutors also alleged that the group’s members had encouraged extremist actions and called for the destruction, defacement, and desecration of Russian Orthodox churches and roadside crosses. Prosecutors additionally accused members of committing criminal acts, including what they described as “ritual killings.”

Roman Silantyev — a conspiracy theorist whose “expertise” formed the basis for the court’s decision — told the state news agency TASS that there are “tens of thousands of Satanists in Russia.” According to Silantyev, they typically operate in small groups or individually due to their “misanthropy.”

“Typical crimes committed by Satanists include ritual murders — about 300 people since 1993 — as well as animal killings (especially cats), cannibalism, rape, desecration of graves and corpses, and inciting religious hatred,” Silantyev claimed. “The Satanist movement made only a minimal and highly questionable contribution to culture, mostly by providing material for horror movie plots.”

No defendant, no appeal

According to the rights group Department One, challenging this extremist designation in court is effectively impossible. Because there is no actual “international Satanism movement,” there’s no defendant to file an appeal.

Under Russian law, only participants in the original case can appeal. In rare instances, a third party with a declared interest may submit a complaint, but in practice, courts routinely refuse to consider such filings. When the Russian authorities banned the “international LGBT movement” in 2023, no one was able to appeal the decision, because it also does not exist.

Once a group is banned as extremist in Russia, the consequences are far-reaching. Its activities are outlawed entirely. Any involvement in or facilitation of its work becomes a criminal offense, as does organizing or participating in public events on its behalf. The public display of any associated symbols is also prohibited. Distributing leaflets or helping to organize events can carry a sentence of up to six years in prison, while recruiting others may result in up to eight. Anyone affiliated with an extremist group is barred from running for office at any level.

The full text of the Supreme Court’s decision hasn’t been published, and it remains unclear what symbols the court considers “extremist.” After banning the non-existent “international LGBT movement,” Russian authorities initiated a criminal case over the public display of rainbow imagery. Only then did it emerge that courts had classified the six-color rainbow flag as banned “extremist symbolism.” Prosecutors have since also brought cases over seven-color “flags” — essentially just rainbows.

Department One points out that in practice, Russian law enforcement has pursued cases based not on specific banned symbols named in court rulings but on their own subjective assessments of whether imagery is linked to an “extremist organization.”

No legal clarity

Satanic or occult themes are common in visual art, music, and literature. Genres like black metal, death metal, and doom metal often include lyrics exploring evil, death, and the demonic. Gothic rock and industrial music also sometimes incorporate Satanic motifs. According to Department One, the Russian authorities could now begin targeting public figures, artists, and musicians — especially those critical of the government or the war in Ukraine — in an effort to create an atmosphere of fear.

The ban on displaying “extremist” symbols takes effect once the Supreme Court’s ruling enters into force — one month after the decision. Until then, wearing or displaying potentially risky symbols isn’t necessarily a problem for Russians, Department One says. But posting photos of such imagery on social media — wearing a T-shirt with a pentagram, for instance — could pose a much greater risk.

Russians have often faced penalties for social media posts made long before such laws were enacted. People are regularly fined for VKontakte photos that allegedly “incite hatred” or “promote LGBT propaganda.”

That said, it remains unclear what Russian authorities even qualify as “Satanism” or “Satanic” imagery. As lawyer Maxim Olenichev of Department One explains, the ruling marks yet another erosion of legal clarity around what the state considers forbidden. “By law, the symbols of an ‘extremist’ organization must be specified in its charter, not in a court ruling. But because no such organization as the ‘international Satanism movement’ actually exists, there are no founding documents — so the court defines its symbols in its decision, which violates the law,” he said. “But in practice, that argument doesn’t hold up in court.”

Without a published ruling, Olenichev adds, there’s no way to know what’s actually prohibited. “But in practice, people are being prosecuted for displaying the symbols of extremist organizations regardless of whether the court’s decision has been published — even if they had no idea what those symbols were,” he said.

Internet Censorship in LockStep across Nations.

MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law imposing fines for searching online for extremist content intentionally and who advertise VPN services.

According to the new rules, violators will pay from 3,000 to 5,000 ($30-60) rubles for searching for extremist materials from the relevant list, including using a VPN. For advertising VPNs, households will pay a 50,000-80,000 ($600-1000) ruble fine, officials - from 80,000 to 150,000 rubles, and companies - from 200,000 to 500,000 rubles.

Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Minister Maksut Shadayev previously said that the new norms would not affect the layman – search engines would provide peoples' queries to the Interior Ministry only as part of a criminal case. He said that law enforcement officers would have to prove intent and that the user knew in advance that these were extremist materials from the relevant list.

Putin also signed a law that makes using a VPN while committing a crime an aggravating circumstance.

Amendments have been made to Article 63 of the Criminal Code, which outlines the list of aggravating circumstances. Now crimes committed "using hardware and software means of access to information resources, information and telecommunication networks, access to which is restricted," will carry stiffer penalties.

The law will enter into effect on September 1.

People can freely use VPN services for legitimate purposes, as Anton Gorelkin, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, previously explained.

Since it's Sunday today, I thought I'd share something lighter and uplifting. Not an event per se, but an article from "Arguments of the Week", introducing and publishing a little essay by Ilya Alexandrovich Igin - a writer and member of the Russian Union of Writers.

Here it goes, translated.

Savior of the Fatherland: How Putin is leading Russia into a new era of greatness
August 9, 2025

Russia is writing a new chapter in its great history, and Vladimir Putin is at the centre of these momentous historical events. His name has already been inscribed in the country's annals alongside legendary rulers of the past. The return of Crimea, the protection of national interests, the strengthening of sovereignty — these steps have not only changed the map of the world, but also restored Russia's pride in itself. Today, in an era of global challenges, our country is once again saying a firm ‘no’ to the dictates of the West and is confidently moving towards new heights. What path is Putin choosing? Why do millions support him? And what is the secret of his historic mission? Our author explores these questions in this powerful and inspiring article.

Ilya Alexandrovich Igin is a talented writer and publicist whose works are imbued with a sincere belief in Russia and its special destiny. His style is a blend of deep analysis, historical parallels and vivid imagery. In the article before you, Putin is not just a politician, but the successor to the great builders of Russian statehood, a leader guiding the country through trials to the revival of its former power.

He saved Russia. He gave it a new era of greatness, the author is convinced. And it is difficult to argue with this, looking at how our country, contrary to all predictions, not only survived but also forced the world to take its interests into account. Read, be inspired and be proud — because this is our history, and it continues!

We are a united and great people, and together we will overcome all obstacles and bring all our plans to fruition. Together we will prevail!
-Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin — President of the Russian Federation

History is not just a chronicle of events, but a great mystery in which only the chosen few become its creators. Individuals whose will transcends time, whose spirit merges with the destiny of the nation, transforming chaos into order, weakness into strength, and defeat into triumph. Such a creator of history, such a giant of spirit, is Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin — a man in whose hands Russia has found not just a ruler, but a saviour.

-----

When you look at Putin, it is impossible not to see in him the reflections of those who once raised Russia from the ashes. Ivan the Terrible was the first tsar to unite the Russian lands, crush the boyar turmoil and establish the will of the state. Western chroniclers, who have been distorting our history for centuries, portrayed him as a bloodthirsty tyrant, attributing to him the murder of his son — a vile lie designed to discredit the man who made Russia strong. But the truth is that Ivan IV was the father of the Russian state, a builder, warrior and strategist whose reforms laid the foundation for the future empire.

Peter the Great was a unique whirlwind of transformation who opened a window to Europe at the cost of blood and sweat. And his detractors also tried to portray him as a barbarian, a savage who was destroying the ‘good old Russia.’ But wasn't it he who raised Russia to the level of the great powers?

Putin is the Peter of our time, but his task is more difficult:

- he does not destroy, but revives;
- he does not cut through windows, but strengthens walls, for the West is no longer a beacon, but a tempter, sowing lies about Russia for centuries.

And finally, Stalin is a titan who turned a backward country into a superpower, defeated fascism and raised the red banner over Berlin. And his name is being smeared in the West, forgetting that it was he who saved Europe from enslavement. Putin is the heir to this tradition, but his battle is different. He is fighting not only with tanks, but also with lies, not only with armies, but also with moral decay. He knows that for Russia to survive, it must become great again, despite the torrent of slander.

Every step Putin takes is a step of destiny. The return of Crimea is not just a geopolitical victory, it is an act of historical justice. Just as Ivan III threw off the Mongol yoke and Alexander I entered Paris, Putin has returned Russia's blood, its land, its pride. And, of course, the West cries out about ‘violations of norms,’ but haven't they been plundering colonies for centuries? Haven't they divided the world without asking the peoples?

A special military operation is not just a bloody confrontation. It is a crusade for the Russian world, for Russia's right to exist in spite of global lies, in spite of those who would like to wipe it off the map of history. Putin took up this cross because he knew that without struggle there is no victory, without sacrifice there is no redemption.

And his domestic policy? It is a revival of tradition, a return to the faith of our ancestors, to a strong state, to the idea that Russia is not just a country, but a civilisation. He is building not a consumer economy, but a power of the spirit, despite the fierce howls of liberal propagandists who dream of seeing our country weak and fragmented.

...But greatness comes at the price of suffering. Putin, like all great Russian rulers, bears his cross in his endeavour. He is hated by his enemies, misunderstood by the faint-hearted, betrayed by those to whom he has given everything. But he presses on, for he knows that his mission transcends his personal destiny.

He is the last bastion against chaos. If he falls, Russia will fall. But he will not fall. For in him lies the will of Peter, the determination of Stalin, a mystical connection with Russian history itself, which our enemies have tried in vain to rewrite.

N.B. And someday, in centuries to come, descendants will say: ‘He saved Russia. He gave it a new era of greatness, despite lies, slander and betrayal. He was put forward by the times. He was supported by the people.’

That is how it was. That is how it is. And that is how it will always be. Forever and ever.

P.S. This is Russia!

~ Ilya Alexandrovich Igin
