It totally makes sense with prion-like disease. Though I wonder what disease can be "similar" to prion one. Something we don't know about yet? Then how they were able to detect it this early? Still a mystery.

This research is available after the COVID vaccine. Protein misfolding favors prion like diseases. And I'm afraid that instread of an incubation period of many years, we're seeing incubation periods of sometimes months. The same reason why there's amyloid plaque coming out of corpses, etc. Protein misfolding.

Hopefully, the cow sacrificed itself by filtering the vaccine, to some extent, so that humans can be safe.

I would avoid beef products until it looks like they're done with the "cleansing".

The situation with cattle in our region is mind-boggling indeed. We haven't seen such extreme measures even during Covid here. Actually, during Covid people were moving around in our region quite freely. And now the authorities are literally blocking entire villages and do not allow anyone to enter or exit, as if it was a plague or something.

Another puzzling thing is that only the smaller private farms fall under these measures. The larger corporate producers from the neighboring farms escaped such radical measures for some reason. That's why many people suspect foul play by large agroholdings against smaller farms. It is indeed unclear why they only target certain segment of the industry. Perhaps the authorities think that they can better monitor the large producers, while the small farms are beyond their control, so must be radically sanitized.

Many people are upset and enraged by this situation. Along with the recent restriction in communications, it creates a divisive and turbulent atmosphere in Russian society. Hopefully this mysterious epidemic will soon be over.

Maybe that's the point? It could be that there is a real risk and harsh measures have to be taken, but on top of that someone(s) saw it as an opportunity to turn people against the authorities and bribed local workers to carry it the way they do? Still leaving many questions unanswered, so FWIW. But there are many forces out there wanting Russia to fall apart, so who knows.

There is another type of war besides SMO being waged in Russia now. The state is trying to block Telegram and VPN services and the citizens are finding new ways around new blocks.

This game was going on for a while with other services like YouTube and WhatsApp, but with Telegram it became a red line for many in giving up their personal freedoms. Also a great deal of SMO front-line communications were done with Telegram because it turned out to be the best for the purpose.

Recent blocking measures started to paralyze essential Internet services like payment processors. IP address whitelists — where you can access only predefined list of sites — were implemented in regions and tested in Moscow for mobile connections. Currently most of Russian Internet users are using VPN to access their usual resources. And now we hear about plans to switch to whitelists for cable connections.

People were given different reasons for blocking through the time: law infringements (LGBT and stuff), terrorist activity, enemy drone navigation. But in the end the whole picture doesn't make much sense. Authorities must understand that moving to strict whitelists will cause enormous economic damage for the country and its people. The cost of blocking infrastructure is very high too, it's billions for sure, while Russian economy is not in its best shape. Yet, they still continue with their plans.

We still do not know who is the mastermind behind these restrictions. Authorities speak about it like it is a natural disaster. And this alone gives a clue. Putin is probably the only one whose name cannot be named in this situation. Let's explore this version.

Earlier Putin stated that Internet restrictions is not the way to solve problems. So there must be something really important to make him change his mind. Could it be that he found out of something really dangerous approaching — like comets — and decided to prepare a kill-switch for Internet infrastructure to minimize panic when it's needed?

Also such modus operandi would be consistent with recent cattle culling story -- keep quite, fix the problem, ignore reputation damage.

I know it sounds kinda crazy, but at least this version is the most consistent one for me.

From a technical point of view this campaign is doomed. It's easy to block some traffic for laymen and it's almost impossible to block everything you want to block without destroying the whole Internet ecosystem.

As to the Internet restrictions (and frequent Internet outages in some regions) in Russia, the main reason may be to prevent easy drone attack coordination within Russia.

It was an official explanation some time ago. Today it doesn't hold any water. Any SIM card crossing Russian border cannot access Internet services for 24 hours. And drones can't access cable connections for obvious reasons, yet restrictions are being expanded there.
