The US Attorney for the Oregon District called for an investigation into masked, camouflaged federal agents without identification who have arrested Black Lives Matter protesters and hauled them into unmarked vans - prompting outrage from local officials who've repeatedly ask officer leave the state.
The investigation request by US Attorney Billy Williams comes as volatile clashes between federal agents and civilians escalate on the 50th night of protests in the city.
The concerning reports coming out of Portland have sparked tension between President Trump and Oregon officials, who have repeatedly blamed any bloodshed on him after he deployed federal agents without their consent.

And the actions of federal agents, who aren't required to follow local policing restrictions, have prompted the American Civil Liberties Union to sue the Department of Homeland Security.

But even so, protesters aren't backing down and have created their own autonomous zone called 'CLAT,' or Chinook Land Autonomous Territory across the street from the federal justice center.

Williams on Friday said that he called for an investigation after circulating reports showed unidentified federal agents arresting two Black Lives Matter protesters without probable cause.

'Based on news accounts circulating that allege federal law enforcement detained two protesters without probable cause, I have requested the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General to open a separate investigation directed specifically at the actions of DHS personnel,' wrote Williams in the shocking statement.

Video of the masked agents was shared by Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley, who condemned the alleged actions in a tweet and furthered his attack against the Trump administration.

In the footage, two federal agents wearing camouflage briskly walk towards two protesters on a desolate Portland street this week.

'What are you doing? Use your words,' the camera woman says, as other nearby witnesses question what the agents are doing,

The camera pans to show a protester, dressed in all black and wearing a face mask, with his hands up in the air.

The comments listed at the bottom of the quoted article here are on the right track. The Portland mayor is weak and panders to the left; Antifa has been allowed to rampage unchecked for years. The Oregon governor is an NPC (non-player character, a meme). FWIW, I am not a conservative (nor a leftist), and I live 10 minutes from the center of this sh!tshow.

  • Looting, shooting, and otherwise disorderly conduct are effective, especially when employed against already marginalized people of your own ethnic group
  • You don't get to define what BLM stands for, BLM does, only they aren't quite sure themselves and if you ask different people you'll get different answers

REDWOOD CITY (KPIX) — Many communities across the country are displaying “Black Lives Matter” street murals. Redwood City was one of them until last week when the city quietly removed it.

Redwood City resident Dan Pease got permission from city officials to paint the “Black Lives Matter” sign on Broadway as part of a Fourth of July public art celebration. The city even supplied him with yellow poster board paint to do it.

“Because we were using the poster board paint that would eventually deteriorate over time, my understanding from them was that the mural would last as long as the paint lasted,” Pease explained.

But, last Thursday, the city washed the sign away after being contacted by local real estate attorney Maria Rutenburg, who said that if the street was now a public forum, she wanted a sign of her own reading “MAGA 2020.”

“I saw “Black Lives Matter” sign appearing on Broadway Street on the asphalt and I figured that’s gonna be a new public space, open for discussion, and I wanted to get my message out, too.” Rutenburg said.

“MAGA” is, of course, short for Make America Great Again, a rallying cry for supporters of President Trump. Faced with the possibility of a political and/or legal fight, the city suddenly decided that Dan Pease’s sign was a traffic hazard that might cause accidents and they removed it in the middle of the night. Pease says he doesn’t consider “Black Lives Matter” to be a political statement but he understands the position the city was in.

“I have no hard feelings to the city council,” Pease said. “I am disappointed but, at the same time, I am very grateful that they allowed me to put that message on Broadway.”

Today, with the streets of Redwood City cleansed of dangerous thoughts, area resident Art Elola was also disappointed that, in today’s climate, a city cannot express the idea that Black lives matter without starting a fight.

“They’re afraid, you know? And that’s the whole movement — is we’ve been afraid to do what’s right,” Elola said. “The whole crux of the movement is be bold and let’s do the right thing and here they’re setting an example and it’s unfortunate. It’s unfortunate other people put the pressure on them, too.”

A Muslim police organisation claimed today's official terminology fuelled negative perceptions, stereotypes, discrimination and Islamophobia.
The issue was put forward at an online conference which was addressed by Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, the head of counter-terrorism policing.

The police told The Times that changes to the phraseology were not certain.
Attacks such as the London bombings of 2005 as well as the Westminster, London Bridge and Manchester Arena assaults, all in 2017, have been officially deemed 'Islamist terrorism.'

The issue was put forward at an online conference which was addressed by Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu, the head of counter-terrorism policing.
But the 3,000-strong National Association of Muslim Police advocated 'a change in culture by moving away from using terms which have a direct link to Islam and jihad. These ... do not help community relations and public confidence.'

It instead suggested an Arabic word, 'Irhabi,' could be deployed.
It is used throughout the Middle East to describe those with extremist views.
The group said that the word 'jihad' was complicated by its figurative meaning of the 'struggle' of being faithful, as well as being used to to denote self-defence in the context of a physical struggle.

But David Toube, of Quilliam, a counter-extremism think tank, told The Times: 'People do not like to feel that they are being told only the partial truth ... there is a serious problem with Islamist terrorism.

'The use of any term that obscures that fact risks damaging public trust in the police.'

One good thing, which crosses my mind often these days, about this whole mess of all the wrongs of our society collapsing down on us recently, through the paradigm of absurds- is how all the abuse I've suffered as a child puts things now into a perspective. ALL the tactics used on us now are the same as the ones a child/young victim goes through in a corrupt family life, or while being abused by some other authoritative figure. The silencing of our voices, interrupting our ability to think clearly through emotional shocks and physical aggression, inserting the opposites of normal and natural as a 'new normal' through inverted logic, playing on all of our honest and good emotions as a tool to get us to either comply to this 'new reality' or go crazy, having a great fun while provoking our natural defense systems, even when we are not sure what are we fighting against, only to make a point of us being irrational, delusional, aggressive and just all together wrong! Wrong about everything and wrong all the time, until we accept this new, 'better reality' of complete inability to think/do for ourselves.

I know it's quite an obvious observation and it's been well studied here from all the different angels, but living in these times right now, just brings it back home on the very personal level for me, and probably for a lot of you here. Seeing this dynamic being played out now on a global level makes me understand a bit better why I had to go through it all during my childhood. I was simply being prepared for what was coming and I am now grateful for it. Talking about a change of perspective! :-)

And I'm afraid nothing will happen unless they are arrested for inciting violence. But I doubt that will happen as it is not part of the narrative. No this whole thing is playing exactly as the C's informed on years ago. "They" will create so much chaos that the average person will demand a police state.
