George Floyd's Death, Protests and Riots across the US

It was not socialism that caused the break up but other way around, it was nationalism and it seems she is biased and maybe even disturbed. Many of those politicians where in communist party and then through night became hardcore patriots and taikuns, so it is a case of pathology and psychopathy, secret networks and plans made in US and Germany and not of ideology.

You get the notion that the people learned from that mistake but hardly so because now it is 10 000 times worse then in socialism in all pores of society, it is one step from collapse. Weight of chains documentary explained it well. Then you had economic and financial, job security and employment straight from college, worker was protected and director could not have higher pay more then 4x times then simple worker, very good life standard among best in Europe(Sweden took that model from Yu) but you would get in trouble if talking against country and about nationalism and in the end that is what led to collapse along with ethnic and religious differences and economic depreesion caused from outside, but now you have freedoms but you do not have jobs, miserable pay and if you have job it is like slave relationship with owner, injustice, incompetence, political connections and corruption everywhere, nepotism, afraid and passive populace that prioritazes drinking caffe in caffe bar and laughs to those that protest for some change, demographically dying country where the most are those in pension and the young mostly run away to west to work, and it is happening for almost 30 years. It is serious case of Stockhlom syndrom it seems, at the phase where there is no turning back and all is lost because under the influence of madman the populace became mad. And then they get perplexed because of earth changes like earthquakes and flooding happening. History though them to not rebel and be subservient because they never had true democracy through history but authoritarian goverments, from monarchies to dictators to totalitarian regimes, so they were programmed through many generations. Those native elites where given private fiefdoms to do what they will with it with no rights and justice for common people for their allegience and slavery to Beast. But what is spot on is that the tactics are the same and that is nothing new because those tactics of division where used and perfected through history by the same clique.

Thank you for providing another perspective on this situation she is discussing. I have not heard of “The Weight of Chains” documentary, so I looked up a bit about it. Found out there are three films, made in 2010, 2014, and 2019.

Description from RT:
“The Weight of Chains” is a Canadian documentary film that takes a critical look at the role that the US, NATO and the EU played in the tragic breakup of a once peaceful and prosperous European state – Yugoslavia. The film, bursting with rare footage never before seen by Western audiences, is a creative first-hand look at why the West intervened in the Yugoslav conflict, with an impressive roster of interviews with academics, diplomats, media personalities and ordinary citizens of the former Yugoslav republics. This film also presents positive stories from the Yugoslav wars: people helping each other regardless of their ethnic background, and stories of bravery and self-sacrifice.

'The Weight of Chains 2' deals with neoliberal reforms in the Balkans and the effects of these reforms on all aspects of life in the former Yugoslavia, from politics, economics, military, culture and education to the media. Through stories of sold-off companies, corrupt politicians, fictional tribunals and various military alliances, the film deconstructs modern myths about everything the people have been told will bring them a better life. Not content with this corner of Europe, the film also widens its scope to examine the damage that neoliberal policies have done the world over

I do not know a significant amount of Yugoslavian history, and realize I should have researched this farther than I did before posting. I did find some critical reviews of the film, so may watch it myself to learn more. Good to know that her description of the tactics is accurate because that was one of the best aspects of the video to me.

Inside the Portland protest zone: ‘I don’t think there’s an end in sight’
The view from inside the landmark federal courthouse in downtown Portland, named for a pacifist U.S. senator from Oregon, is nothing short of surreal. The mood of demonstrators shifted almost on cue from peaceful moms and veterans, chanting outside the fence, to vandals bent on bringing it down. The Oregonian/OregonLive was allowed into the courthouse to see the perspective from the lobby.
This behind-the-scenes view is interesting. It offers a contrast and supplement to the external view of the nightly "protests."

Those "peaceful protesters" don't really care about racism, or black lives, or any life - they have political agenda to reach, with violence and fear.

FDNY DIVERSITY OFFICIAL SAYS ‘MOST DEFINITELY’ OK TO EXCLUDE WHITE FIREFIGHTER FROM COLOR GUARD

FDNY diversity official defends decision to exclude white veteran firefighter seen in iconic 9/11 photo from a ceremonial color guard so all flag-bearers could be black

An FDNY diversity official has said that it’s ‘most definitely’ acceptable to keep a white firefighter off a ceremonial unit based on his skin color, according to a new report.

The New York Post reported that the FDNY’s chief diversity and inclusion officer, lawyer Cecilia Loving, has defended a decision that allowed white firefighter Lt. Daniel McWilliams to be kicked off a color-guard procession so it would be all-black instead.

Loving’s statement was allegedly made while she testified at a New York state Division of Human Rights trial following McWilliam’s complaint that he was the victim of racial bias during a 2017 incident.

McWilliams was one of the three FDNY firefighters seen in an immediately iconic photo as they hoist the American flag at Ground Zero in the days after the 9/11 attacks.

According to McWilliams’ complaint, he been selected by the FDNY Ceremonial Unit to serve as one of the flag bearers in the color guard at a November 2017 memorial mass honoring deceased members of the Vulcan Society, a fraternal society of black firefighters.

Being a flag bearer at the event was an ‘esteemed honor and privilege’ for McWilliams, according to his lawsuit, CNN reported.

Upon his arrival at the event, however, McWilliams was barred from participating in the color guard by then-Vulcan Society president Regina Wilson because she allegedly had asked for an all-black color guard at the mass.

She then asked McWilliams – a 29-year FDNY veteran – to ‘help in a different capacity.’

McWilliams (center) said that it had been an an ‘honor and privilege’ to be selected for the color guard at the memorial mass for members of the FDNY black fraternal order in 2017
Among those duties was allegedly asking him to escort civilians and muster uniformed officers into formation away from the mass.

McWilliams claimed in his suit that he asked Wilson if she was removing him from the color guard because he’s not black. She confirmed that was the case, he said.

Wilson, a 21-year FDNY veteran who was also part of the 9/11 rescue efforts, apparently replaced McWilliams with one of the members of the Vulcan Society.

McWilliams claimed he left the memorial ‘to save himself from further shame, humiliation and embarrassment,’ as their exchange was overheard by friends and colleagues, the New York Daily News reported.

During her trial testimony, McWilliams’ lawyer, Keith Sullivan, asked Loving – who is black – ‘So, a request for an all-black color guard is not discriminatory?’

‘No, it isn’t,’ Loving said, according to the New York Post.

Sullivan also asked Loving if it’s OK to request an all-black color guard, to which she was quoted as saying, ‘Most definitely.’

By way of explanation, Loving said that it was OK to swap out a white person for a black person to ‘uplift our identities and our separate ethnicities in order to instill a sense of pride and community and support for one another.’

McWilliams first filed his racial bias complaint with the FDNY in January 2018. He then filed a lawsuit against Wilson, the FDNY, the city of New York and unnamed individuals in May 2019.

After filing his complaint, Sullivan said that McWilliams was retaliated against and intimidated by Wilson’s supporters.

At one point, one of her supporters allegedly laid hands on McWilliams and said: ‘I’ve heard about you, they told me you’d act this way, and now you know me.’

In a brief, Sullivan wrote that rejecting McWilliams from the mass’ color guard position was ‘deplorable’ and a sign of double standards in the fire department.

‘If you’re black and you discriminate against a white person in the workplace, you get a slap on the wrist at best,’ Sullivan wrote.

Wilson, according to the lawsuit, received ‘one hour of counseling’ over her treatment of McWilliams.

Meanwhile, a white person who discriminates against a person of color receives ‘heavy-handed discipline and punishment,’ Sullivan wrote.

‘The FDNY has created a policy and procedure for bending over backwards, coming up with excuses and accommodating members of the Vulcan Society … who commit racist acts, and it has to stop,’ Sullivan also wrote.

The FDNY has not commented on the incident, due to pending court decision.

Observing this madness spreading I keep on remembering this history lesson by Jonathan Turley:

History suggests, however, that such demonstrations may not be enough. As proven by the French Revolution, today’s revolutionaries are tomorrow’s reactionaries — or victims. Pierre Robespierre led that revolution’s “Reign of Terror” until he was guillotined as one of its last victims, and Dr. Marat’s “farcical scenes” ended with his own stabbing in a bathtub in retaliation for some of his own blood-soaked excesses. It is a cycle repeated in revolutions throughout history: When the music stops, fewer and fewer chairs can be found by those who readily embraced extreme measures.

That is why many of our leaders should consider the words of the French revolutionary Abbe Sieyes. Sieyes was a Catholic clergyman and the author of French Revolution’s manifesto of “What Is The Third Estate?” Yet, when asked what he had done during the French Revolution, he simply responded “I survived.”

BLM Protester Fatally Shot in Austin: ‘People Who Hate Us’ Are ‘Too Big of P-ssies to Actually Do Anything About It’

It sounds like Foster (the BLM protester) shot first. There are 5 loud shots (Foster's Kalashnikov?) followed a few seconds later by 3-4 fainter shots (pistol?).

Following up: Subsequent reports (including this) indicate that Foster pointed his rifle at the driver but didn't fire. The first volley was the driver firing at Foster. The second volley was fired at the driver's car as he was driving away.

Vietnam vet gets pepper-sprayed in face by fed officer during Portland protests: ‘He did not like what I was saying'
The officers stared at Hastie as he spoke. One officer wearing camouflage approached him from the side. A now-viral video captured by Andrew Kimmel, a TV and web producer, shows that officer shooting pepper spray directly into Hastie’s face.
I hate to see this, but it's to be expected. Mike Hastie was blindsided while posing no threat. Mike is a long-term peace activist who has dedicated his life to that quest. He's sincere, but wasting his time trying to educate military troops in the middle of an operation. There's also the question of approach. Yelling at them doesn't make one less of an "enemy target."

Mike and I used to photograph protests together, dating back just prior to the invasion of Iraq. Long ago I decided this was futile, although well-intentioned, and haven't seen Mike in quite some time. [I did good work, though. :-)]

Here's the clip of Mike getting blasted with pepper spray: https://t.co/CLZwKvuTxH. My compliments to the photographer that got the great lead image in the article. Anybody that has tried this sort of thing will tell that it's not so easy, for all kinds of reasons.

  2. DTG OBSERVED ACTIVITY: 252300ZJUL2020
  3. LOCATION: ROXBORO NC AND SURROUNDING AREA
  4. OBSERVED ACTIVITY: Mass protest and observed enemy activity in Roxboro NC. Insurgents engaged in skirmish with local PD and SO personnel after lethal force incident on 24JUL. One officer wounded. Enemy weapons cache captured.
  5. MWE / INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: Multiple armed assailants brought in from out of town, unknown number but more than 50. Explicit statements of violence made. Father of person killed in lethal force incident made statement to ABC11 that he wanted the out of town insurgents to leave. Insurgents stated the name of their organization is NC BORN (Building Our Revolution Now) and initially fled after police made threatening gestures. Local Leader/HVI is Andrew Lee Partridge and is a Corrections Officer in VA. Insurgents returned one hour later dispersed among local businesses dropped off individually. Method of coordination / communications SOI unknown. Insurgents used three observed techniques: park Dodge Chargers with stolen NC plates to confuse LEOs as to the position of units, Swarm different positions in a series to exhaust responding officers, and to attack them with OC spray. One officer was wounded and required EMS transport. Enemy weapons cache was uncovered in a Van with VA plates. Specific number of weapons unknown. Insurgents have a safehouse owned by Marcus Satterfield located in the town square and within view of the county courthouse.
  6. ASSESSMENT: LEOs were overwhelmed and panicked by their monitored radio chatter. They are not prepared for an insurgency and cannot sustain multiple nights of enemy activity. Majority of insurgents are not local and unknown to police. Social media chatter is making explicit threats on police and surrounding business owners. Violence is likely within the next 48 hours as attacks on LEO was coordinated and more bold than previous incidents in larger municipalities.

thanks for sharing this ocean! i haven't heard about this yet but will be looking more into it. my dad's side of the family grew up in roxboro. my late grandfather had a house on hyco lake.. it is pretty country out there.. which makes this even more interesting. not surprised they were from out of town!

Admittedly, I have not read every post here but I think I may have found a solution that at least one black person has found which makes sense to me. That is not to say other blacks or other races don't' see this already but the gist of it is something that the Cs have said many times "knowledge protects". With all the insanity already noted there may be a small glimmer of hope there are at least a few good humans left. The following was from 2017.

There has been a slow down on the protests here after NSW police applied to the court to have the protests banned and the court agreed.

The protestors appealed, but lost.

They decided to go ahead today despite the ban and police arrested 6 protestors including the organiser of the event. Apparently one tore up his $1000 fine in front of the police. The article states that 400 police officers turned up to deal with 50 protestors. One protestor complained that they were in small family groups and complying with social distancing measures.
