George Floyd's Death, Protests and Riots across the US

In what kind of world is this not considered to be communicating threats? Plenty of people get banned from social media for a lot less.
You are joking right? Liberal/Progressive/Democrats are simply not capable of inciting riots, by definition. Remember the first rule. "Orange man bad". Followed closely by "Unless you unequivocally reject Orange Man, you are bad too and must be banned."

In what kind of world is this not considered to be communicating threats? Plenty of people get banned from social media for a lot less.
What kind of world is this? It's called Lefty Nutzy. The post was not banned because it was promoting peaceful protesting against white supremacy! You must not have gotten the latest memo on leftist crazy speak so you will now have to go get re-educated! 🔤 Otherwise, you'll go nutzy trying to think it should be a sane world.

Such cognitive dissonance of the extreme political Left. I don't know how they function. Why doesn't it implode?

Southern Poverty Law Center Stops Monitoring Black Hate Groups Because of ‘Equity’

And here, a demonstration of the usual inability to see people as individuals by engaging in collective punishment.

Planned Parenthood Pres: We'll Atone for Founder's Racism by Hating White People

The Oregonian recently tweeted that a man was killed by police, but he was white so it doesn't matter:

"The man who was killed was a [W]hite man in his 30s, according to three sources with knowledge of the investigation. The Oregonian/OregonLive is identifying the man's race in light of social unrest prompted by police shootings of Black people," the paper tweeted.

Skin color determines the moral content of any given individual or situation. Racism has been redefined so effectively that people are now convinced that racism is the only way to fight it. But I guess that's just one example, out of hundreds, of the Orwellian defilement of language and what it's doing to people's minds, schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.

Some others that come to mind:
  • Morality is immoral
  • Immorality is empowering
  • There is no such thing as truth, except for this statement which you must accept as true
  • There is no such thing as biological sex
  • But masculinity is toxic
  • And women are oppressed
  • But there is no such thing as biological sex
  • Thinking is confusion
  • Trust what we tell you about the science, but ignore the actual science
  • Wanting to judge people by their character instead of their skin color is racist
  • Violent riots are peaceful
  • Petty criminals are heroes
  • Due process is tyranny
Basically it all just boils down to - Lies are the Truth. As George Carlin would say, "it's BS and it's bad for ya".

Race-baiting journalists and politicians are a disease. (See the 2 photos in the tweet)

From wiki:
African Americans are the second largest racial minority, comprising an estimated 13.4% of the population. The White, non-Hispanic or Latino population make up 61% of the nation's total, with the total White population (including White Hispanics and Latinos) being 77%.
The U.S. population as of April 1, 2020 was 332.6 million.
According to the posted graph, a total of 1,021 people were shot to death by police in 2020 out of a total population of approximately 332.6 million.
A staggering 264 police officers were killed in the line of duty in 2020 representing a 96% increase compared to the previous year, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

It's a war out there. Besides the police/suspected criminal confrontations, the drive-by shootings are taking out citizens right and left - last Saturday in Columbus, OH:

A woman is dead and five other people were injured Saturday night at a shopping plaza southeast of Columbus in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting at people holding a memorial vigil for a homicide victim killed one year earlier at the same location. LaToya Renee Carpenter, 32, was fatally struck by a stray bullet while driving a vehicle in the parking lot outside the Dollar General in the Refugee Center shopping plaza.

The gathering was apparently held to mark the one-year anniversary of the April 17, 2020 shooting death of 28-year-old Jarrin Hickman, of the Southeast Side, in what authorities said was a drug deal gone bad.

Bailey said someone in an SUV traveling westbound on Chatterton Road suddenly opened fire on the group gathered for the memorial vigil and drove off.
Odds of being shot in one Columbus neighborhood as high as one in 59, police study finds
About 1,300 residents — nearly 50% of them earning below the 2021 federal poverty level of $26,500 for a family of four — live in this high-odds area. There were two homicides and 22 non-fatal shootings there in 2020. Nearly all of the troubled area is contained within the Colonial Village apartments, which provides affordable housing.

Homicides and gun violence rose dramatically in Columbus in 2020, and the odds of being shot in the city were generally one in 626, according to the city police study based on estimated population in U.S. Census tract data. Overall, the city saw an 89.5% increase in nonfatal shootings last year, from 757 in 2019 to 1,435 in 2020, which includes shootings of a person or occupied structure. Columbus also saw a record 174 homicides — a 67% increase from 2019.

Certainly not every area of the city is as dangerous as that section of the East Side. If you live in Clintonville, where an estimated 30,172 people live and only one non-fatal shooting was reported in 2020, your odds were one chance in 30,172. And some neighborhoods had no shootings at all.

And not just drive-bys - two recent shooting incidents in a prominent Columbus shopping mall (where I used to walk before mask mandate):

Shots fired inside Polaris Fashion Place for second time in 2 weeks

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police in Ohio are investigating a shooting inside a mall in the state’s capital city.

The shooting Monday afternoon was the second at Polaris Fashion Place on the north side of Columbus in two weeks.
Police said multiple shots were fired on the first floor of the mall around 3:20 p.m. Monday after two groups got into an argument. Police said those involved "appear to be juveniles."

Arshad Jamir Lawson, 20, of Andrus Avenue on the East Side, is charged with felonious assault and is being held at the Franklin County jail. Franklin County Common Pleas Court records show Lawson has a pending case for charges of aggravated robbery, robbery, felonious assault, carrying concealed weapons and improper handling of a firearm from 2019. Court records indicate Lawson was supposed to appear for a hearing in January 2020 and did not show up, resulting in a capias warrant being issued for his arrest.

Although police previously said no one was struck, one bullet grazed a male victim in his arm, but did not penetrate his skin, according to the complaint. In a prepared news release confirming Lawson's arrest, Columbus police indicated there were at least two intended victims — a 17-year-old male and an unidentified male.

This was the second time in less than two weeks that shots were fired inside the mall. The two Columbus-area men suspected of exchanging gunfire on March 3 inside the Polaris Fashion Place have been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Georgia.

Anthony Deshawn Truss Jr., 21, and Levon Sommerville, 25, were both taken into custody this month in Georgia cities within 40 miles of each other. The U.S. Marshals Service announced the men's arrest 40 days after the shooting at the Delaware County mall.

The shootout occurred after the two got into an argument inside the Carter's/Osh Kosh B'Gosh store around 12:30 p.m. March 3, Columbus police have said. Somerville is suspected of firing inside the store at Truss at close range before departing. Truss then followed Sommerville out into the mall and fired at Sommerville as he walked away, police said.

No one was struck by gunfire or otherwise injured in the shooting.

Following the shooting, Columbus police indicated that they knew the identities of the gunmen and advised that they turn themselves in. But police soon asked the public's help in identifying the suspects with the release of surveillance images of the shooting.

My husband remarked last night that anyone could get shot just about anywhere now. Just wait till the Chauvin verdict comes in.

Another recent shooting occurred at the hospital right in my city between a black suspect and police that kicked off a heated protest:

Protesters storm Columbus PD headquarters after Black man shot dead by police at hospital

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A crowd breached the locked doors of the Columbus Police Department’s headquarters Tuesday night, there to protest the deadly police shooting of a Black man named Miles Jackson at a hospital earlier this week.

Authorities posted on social media that protesters forced their way through locked doors at police headquarters. The video they shared showed one protester hitting an officer with a club as police tried to stop the crowd from getting further into the building.

Police say the suspected protester is 20-year-old Hunter Mattin [below], who was arrested and faces an aggravated battery charge. Investigators said they’re looking for additional suspects.

The hospital incident:
Miles Jackson, 27, of Columbus' Northwest Side, was found unconscious in a vehicle by Westerville emergency responders Monday morning. After a partial pat-down of Jackson by a Westerville police officer, he was transported by Westerville paramedics, accompanied by police, to Mount Carmel St. Ann's medical center's emergency department for treatment of a suspected overdose. Because Jackson had outstanding warrants, Columbus police officers Andrew Howe and Ryan Krichbaum arrived to assume custody of him. It is when they begin searching Jackson's pockets and find bullets that the situation escalates.
  • Krichbaum finds a bullet in a pants pocket and a firearm in the crotch area of Jackson's pants. The officers attempt to handcuff Jackson. A struggle ensues and Krichbaum uses a Taser on Jackson, whose hand is still in the crotch area of his pants.
  • Howe calls for hospital security officers to respond to the room.
  • The gun in Jackson's pants discharges. Howe draws his weapon, but it malfunctions. Jackson and Krichbaum fall to the floor and out of view of Howe's body camera. Krichbaum is able to get up and into the opposite hallway. Howe remained in the room with Jackson.
For more than three minutes, officers Howe and Krichbaum, as well as multiple hospital security officers and at least one additional Columbus police officer who responded, instruct Jackson to show and raise his right hand above his head and drop the weapon.

Video shows he does not comply with these commands, which are given more than 85 times.

During the verbal exchange, Jackson says he is afraid to raise his hand because he fears being shot, tells police "I'm leaning on it," referring to the firearm, and then says he's "putting the gun down" without taking his hand off the firearm.
  • Call of officer in trouble goes out over radio
  • Request for SWAT to respond to the scene is made.
  • A female Columbus police officer who has responded deploys a Taser that strikes Jackson, who then fires one shot. After Jackson's firearm discharges, multiple officers fire multiple rounds, killing Jackson.
A cloud of gun smoke is visible in the hallway of the hospital and an alarm begins to sound inside the hospital. Jackson is rushed to a trauma room for treatment by medical staff at the hospital. Officers on the scene begin to cordon off the area.

Jackson is pronounced dead at the hospital.

A photo of Miles Jackson, 27, provided by his girlfriend. He was the father of four young children.
Tragically, the Westerville police officer failed to complete the initial pat-down due to Jackson turning and questioning why he had to go to the hospital. The pat-down stopped just short of the groin area where a gun was concealed. I suppose if the officer had persisted, shots could have been fired then and there by both parties - who knows? Both Jackson and the 13-year-old Adam Toledo exercised extremely poor judgement holding the guns in their possession - not surprising for a kid, though.

'Stop the Lies' protesters dispute Columbus police's account of headquarters breach

In addition to the hospital shooting, two other highly controversial police/law enforcement shooting/killings of black suspects occurred last December:

After 2 Black Men Are Killed By Police, Columbus Demands A Reckoning

Following George Floyd's killing in Minneapolis, protesters gathered here, too, and some Columbus police responded brutally. They even pepper-sprayed local Congresswoman Joyce Beatty, the Democrat now heading the Congressional Black Caucus. City officials promised reform, and they took some steps, like banning no-knock warrants. But then in December, a sheriff's deputy and a police officer shot and killed Black men in separate incidents less than three weeks apart, rocking this city to its core.
Both of the December shootings were highly problematic and seemingly unwarranted.
Hundreds of protesters demonstrated peacefully in downtown Columbus on Dec. 11 after a Franklin County sheriff's deputy shot and killed Casey Christopher Goodson, 23, outside his home on Dec. 4.
Background on the sheriff's deputy's "attitude" may have spurred and escalated into this fatal incident. The second incident could easily be construed as murder of an unarmed black man by a police officer that stemmed from a neighbor's late night noise complaint:
Shortly after the officers arrived, a man who had been inside a garage approached them on foot with his left hand holding a cellphone and his right hand not visible, police said, citing video from a body-worn camera. At that point, Officer Adam Coy shot the man, Andre Maurice Hill, 47, who died later at a hospital, they said.

About 10 seconds after encountering Hill, who was inside a garage and an expected guest at that home, Coy fired his service weapon multiple times.
No aid was given to the victim for several minutes after the shooting.
Neither Coy nor the other officer turned their body cameras on until after the shooting. Because of a "look-back" feature on the cameras that records the 60 seconds before they are turned on, the shooting itself was captured on video, with no audio.

So one can understand the anger and fear emanating from the black populace. But, lots of shootings going on in black neighborhoods perpetrated by their own as well.

Mayor, leaders call for peace as verdict watch begins in Chauvin trial

😟

From whatreallyhappened.com:

Live: Derek Chauvin found guilty of murder in death of George Floyd

Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty Tuesday in the killing of George Floyd.

After less than 12 hours of deliberations, the jury returned its verdict against Chauvin, convicting him on all three counts: second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Chauvin's team should have plenty of material to launch an appeal particularly Maxine Waters' inciting violence and a defense witness having his former house smeared with pig's blood along with the pig head for good measure.

Normally protesters call FOR peace. They literally shout NO peace. They are NWO rage mobs meant to intimidate the populace. They are trying the same with extinction rebellion. Which is also becoming increasingly violent. The Devil is building his army.
