Merry Christmas to everyone ! 🎅

This end of year and the start of the next one is not starting very well for me. My knee cracked a few days ago (I was in the shower and so my personal crystal was not on me, although it was not very far) so I must have meniscus surgery as soon that one of the specialist surgeons will have returned from his vacation. This also implies a mandatory Covid PCR test :-(, and a consequent drop in remuneration for the weeks or months to come.

But I'm not going to complain, I have plenty to keep myself busy with Laura's recommended reads and other books that have been put on hold for too long.
It could be much worse. I am thinking in particular of Ark who I hope is recovering as well as possible.

I regret especially to feel so weakened during this tumultuous period which risks to worsen again.

Fortunately, finding myself on this forum and reading all of you always cheers me up, so I thank you all for that.

In this sense, I wish you all a very merry Christmas, a joyous season and may you take whatever twists and turns the year 2021 brings with grace and dignity. As some people wrote, if 2020 brought quite some surprises that took us off our feet more or less we will have some idea at least what 2021 may have in store for us. It might be quite a ride - maybe an even rougher one - but together we can navigate it better. 💫

Added: And thank you for everybody's Chrismas notes here everyone, it was heartening to read them!

I joined this forum in May this year and to be honest I did not expect to find such a place. Oh boy! I've been learning so many things that maybe would take a lifetime to find out on my own. Saying "thank you" is not enough, so maybe imagine a huge soft teddy bear giving a long warm hug to each and all of you... 😅 I hope your 2021 is full of light (and more bear hugs)!

I am sorry to hear that, trytofly, but you seem to have the right mind-set. Good for you! Keep us posted, if you wish. You could always start a thread if you feel the need to share. I wish you all the best.

Great news for the new book, catching up with the reading list on the holidays. Had an internet blackout right at the beginning of this month, hopefully to be resolved by epifany. Thanks again for all the help provided to navigate through this pandemic of the mind, getting stronger and prepared for the year to come. :hug2::hug2:🎄🎄
