Thank you for your input. I will have to think about all this and where it fits in. When I came to the shocking conclusion that Maria de Agreda did actually bilocate, it followed that she was telling the truth about the Virgin Mary dictating 'The Mystical City of God' to her. I became a Roman Catholic on the spot (or rather what I believed made me a Roman Catholic). There is, of course, much more to my belief than this; I was already most of the way there for various reasons. Now I have difficulty even understanding the concept of faith. Where is the faith in knowing? I have no difficulty at all in accepting that science is 100% in tune with religion. Where's the problem? Anyway, each must find his own path I guess.

What you may, also, want to read, and what we suggest to people new to this forum who aren't familiar with this forum, is to read The Wave series. Graham, I don't know if you will see this. I KNOW what you are saying because it happened to me. I accessed another reality. I have always read voraciously, sought God and worked really hard physically. I had been at a point for years where I only served goodness. My DNA "woke up" with a gift from the Blessed Mother and I knew it had to do with the purity of my heart and intent. I didn't analyze until after the fact, being totally blown away by what happened to me.
If I wrote a book about what happened, no one would believe me. I had a hard time understanding it. But, higher beings and other realities do exist. As does being gifted by Christ consciousness. For what it's worth.

It would be good to remember that though there are other realms and beings "out there" it can be very dangerous to seek them out. It's very hard to tell if you are being lied to and manipulated.
I never sought them out. It just happened. I never even meditated and still don't. It was very spontaneous and "in the body". It was like I got hit by some kind of energy and it all turned upside down. I never, ever sought it. The whole world flipped. It took nine months for it to settle back to normal.
I almost didn't post because I was cautioned by the forum on the same issues last time. But, I understood exactly what Graham was saying about purity and some of the other things.

From a more symbolic perspective this could be construed as castrating their creative energies, or otherwise vectoring them in ways that are highly unnatural and unsafe for the organism.

It is interesting. When someone is awakening, all forces swoop in to have a "go" so to speak. Some to help and some to try and thwart. Heart, mind and nerves of steel are required. As is an open mind because reality is not what we normally think it is.

Menna, the term "higher beings" may just be a misnomer for those who have more understanding of physics, nature, less ties to physicality as we know it and a deep understanding of the psychology of humans. I think their purpose is as varied as their intent; just as we humans vary.
I am not sure that 'higher beings' have a purpose as such (I am a bit sorry I used the term now!). Nor do I think there is a necessarily a discernible boundary between such people and the rest of us. They are simply people who have traveled further on the path than the rest of us. As to what that path is and where it is leading, that, of course, is the big question - and how you answer it depends on your beliefs. My view is that God wants us to become one with him through love. When I say 'one with him' I mean to realize the divine potential within us - or rather, the divinity actually within us. God wishes us to be one with him and we do this via love. He gave us free will, the knowledge of right and wrong and the ability to make moral choices. Why it is necessary for us to make that progress, I do not know. I suppose one could say that God is working his purpose out - what ever that is. One thing that appears to be common to all such people (Maria de Agreda, Padre Pio) is that they have faith, love and humility. They obtain grace by giving away everything. The more you give the more you receive.
