How much weight did you lose after starting the low carb diet?

In 2010, I lost about 15 lbs (7 kg), and this year I've lost an additional 20 lbs (9 kg), so altogether I've lost about 35 lbs (16 kg). I just realized this a couple weeks ago and was wondering if it was too much, but based on other replies here it looks like it's pretty normal.

I lost about 15kg and i feel great, before maybe 7 months i stoped to lose anymore weight which is great because will be to much.

Originally I started with the elimination diet, then moved to the blood-type diet, then to the paleo-diet. Within that time period (about two years) I lost about 50 lbs. I wish I had exact figures, but I know I started over 260, and now average around 210, which seems to be my ideal weight.
Somewhat similar, I lost 24lb (11kg), down to 142lb, gained about 7lb (3kg) just before starting fully on below 20 carbs, now lost all of that and back to 140lb (63.5kg) - which is steady.

I lost about 6-7 kg after I've started gluten-, dairy- and sugarfree diet in 2010, I lost an additional 3 kg after I've started paleo style low carb diet this year.

started low carb in beiging of May 2011 , lost 7 kg until the end of june , and then 3 more until now

I lost about 3 or 4 kilos, which I didn't really have to lose. One thing I'm starting to notice is that having carbs, especially sugar, actually makes me lose weight! If I stick to my pork products and keep the carbs down to under 20 a day I think I might gain a little back. But too many carbs are definitely evil for me, but for precisely the opposite reason for most people i.e. they make me lose weight rather than gain (at least when I'm burning fat and protein as my primary energy source).

Quite the same thing as Perceval excepted that if I am having too many carbs, it does not have any effect on my weight. (probably because I am someone very nervous inside.)

For me over 12 kg , nearly 13 kgs ive never felt better. Was a bit of a shock when i looked in the mirror at myself at one point , believe it or not i dont use mirrors much , same with watches , no use for them.

Well, I started the low carb diet, not for loosing weight, but to be healthier. I lost about 6.8 kg (15 lbs) the first month that I didn't need to loose (was 70 kg). Fortunately I have steadily regained that back these past 5 months. Eating 60g carbs, 100g proteins and 230g or more in fats.

Just a note:

loose - baggy

lose - has lost an "o" that is in loose which means "baggy" or not tight.

85.91 kgs starting
64.09 - 63.18 kgs current

189lb size 16 starting weight 2007
133lb size 8 Jul-Aug 2011 (yay high school was size 10)
154lb added rice back & stress Aug-Oct 2011
141lb-139lb size 10 baggy (started lowering carbs Oct 19 no grains & no fruit)

thanks

I first tried a low carb diet back in 2000. I was very strict with myself and rarely ate more than 20g of carbs a day. In 5 months I lost over 60lbs. I felt really good , but my motivation at that time was fueled by my own vanity. All I wanted was to be thin. I didn't care about my health at all. I slipped back into bad habits and for the past 10 years, it's been a battle to stick to the diet. It was easy for me to cheat and abuse myself when my motivation was so superficial.

Around April of this year, I approached my "diet" in a new light. It was not about being thin, looking good, or wanting acceptance. What I care about now is my health and learning what food is best for our bodies and minds, in a world filled with so much toxic food. The battle now is not me against myself. It's me against the "system". So far I'm down 32lbs and feeling really good.

Back at May 2011 I started out with the Ultra Simple Diet for about a month. Then as my reading on the subject developed, I changed to <20 gm of carbs per day. That is when the weight really started coming off.

I started at 70kg in May, and now I am at 59kg.

Planning on holding steady! Pass the pork belly please! :)
