I need ( advice) to write a monography on Gurdjieff

i'll try to acquire that book as well, but why was he dissapointed? if i dare to ask?

I would recommend Patterson's Struggle of the Magicians. It's a very insightful book, especially in respect to Gurdjieff's relations with his closest pupils - Ouspensky, Orage, and others.

My work of disertation ( for my master degree) is done. I called it '' G.I. Gurdjieff - the phophet of a new philosophy '' and it contains a biographical chapter on Gurdjieff, another about him and Russian intellighentia of 20th century which comprised many other occultists, a 3rd chapter on occutism in general, as a symptom of social unrest. And the last chapters deal with contemporary occultism and some gurdjieffian concepts. It's not an extensive work but it went out quite well cause i got an A and my teachers congratulated me for choosing such an orginal subject.

I thank you all for recommending me some titles here and i in turn recommend you to read a few books that i quoted in my work if you enjoy topics on occultism :

Thank you Palinurus. I thought about it too, about bringing some parts of it on board but i didn't managed yet to translate it in English ( my work is written in my native language Romanian with quotes in Russian) It's only been 2 weeks since i've finished it. :)

I guess i have to post it on a blog first right ? I used to have one 3 years ago but it got blocked or i didn't know how to use the account properly :/. I got little time to enjoy my academic succes because my phobia got back in full force after one year and a half of remission ( i discussed the issue on other thread here called Emetophobia) so today i try to calm myself because tomorrow at 5 A. M i'm going on a trip for a week and i'm having anxiety problems again..

Maybe when i will return i will post here again ( as you guys can see i'm not at all a regular poster but i do work on myself and study Gurdjieff , and esoterism ) and the we can decide what parts i should translate and post around here. ;)

In order to achieve this, you have to upload the pdf file onto a file hosting site and then post a link to it on this thread. From there, everyone so inclined could download the whole lot and save it. [...]

When you Google for < file hosting sites free > you will find plenty of those to choose from.
