My work of disertation ( for my master degree) is done. I called it '' G.I. Gurdjieff - the phophet of a new philosophy '' and it contains a biographical chapter on Gurdjieff, another about him and Russian intellighentia of 20th century which comprised many other occultists, a 3rd chapter on occutism in general, as a symptom of social unrest. And the last chapters deal with contemporary occultism and some gurdjieffian concepts. It's not an extensive work but it went out quite well cause i got an A and my teachers congratulated me for choosing such an orginal subject.
I thank you all for recommending me some titles here and i in turn recommend you to read a few books that i quoted in my work if you enjoy topics on occultism :
Glatzer Rosenthal, Berenice, The Occult in Modern Russian and Soviet Culture, Cornell University Press, Ithaca.NY, 1997
Glatzer Rosenthal, Berenice, Chomiak Bohachevski, Martha, A Revolution of the Spirit: Crisis of Value in Russia 1890-1924, Fordham University Press, United States of America, 1990
