Internet Shrinkage & Archiving

Complexity, please use the search function before starting a new thread. It's better to have one thread for a subject rather than having information on the same subject spread in different threads. This is not the first time you have done it. So it would be greatly appreciated if you could do a quick search first to see if there is a thread already started.

I have merged the threads.

Heya,

Sorry, the intention was for my archive to be a separate subject, I was just providing the context as to what circumstances prompted me to make one - that the internet is shrinking. I thought the "what's on your mind" forum might have been an okay place to post.

I've been registered for 5 years and this is only the 3rd thread that I can recall making, I'm not sure if you've had to merge any in the past? But I'll try to contribute to other threads rather than make my own in future.

Wow !!!

Complexity, You got some serious order in your MANY files and folders. I am impressed and give you the prize, because that well organized mine are not, i am afraid. Yet - at the same time - i get immediately inspired by how you did it.

In fact, and this is funny, i thought almost to ask you, how you are doing it, but didn’t want to intrude.

So, thank you 💞 for the inspiration you are giving by showing us/me your file / folder / name / subject structure in your own research and archive. This certainly helps me to change things on my own computer, too.

Thank you .. I really hope I can help inspire others to grab and share everything they can, whilst in today's climate of censorship. I truly believe that it is down to each and everyone of us to take what steps we can to combat totalitarianism - and that involves small and every day acts of preserving and speaking the truth and historical record.

My top tip is to just trying not too be too put off by the seeming enormity of getting things organised and just to chip away at it slowly and at your leisure, as you would a jigsaw. I find that some topics are very easily organised and sorted, whilst others can be harder to decide if they are worth a category, I try not to worry about those too much, they nearly always eventually end up resolving and sorting themselves. :-)
